This past week has been a whirl wind of excitement in Chayville! so much so that I just couldn't keep up! so I'm going to do the best that I can to post the things that I thought were the most fun (Everything about Chayanne is fun and exciting so it's going to be a tough choice!)
I was cruzing around all the Chayville hotspots and saw this post on Casa Chayanne. Chayanne was on the day time show Despierta America on Tuesday, this is an adorable interview, but then again Chayanne is adorable so what do you expect! Any way Ethelita said that one of the things that she could catch in the interview was, "When asked what they call him - i.e., Elmer, Chay, Chaycito, or Chayanne, he was quick to answer they call me "amorcito" ("little lover")! Well doesn't that just knock you knickers? It does mine!

What can you say....last night the Twibe was a flurry of mad excitement waiting for Chayanne to step out onto the red carpet.....Tweets were flying from Twibe memebers from all over the globe! I'll admit it, I think everyone's life was revolving around getting in front of the television at 7:00 pm SHARP! to make sure that they didn't miss not one single, solitary moment of Chayanne!
Chayanne opened the show with a bang! (I did get to see this part) He's a tough act to follow...
I didn't get to see his acceptance speech for his "Excellence Award", until this morning.....and I have to tell you, for Chayanne to be the Mega Star that he truly is.....he is so genuinely humble. This is where I want to take the time to thank all of the Twibe that pitched in to make sure that those who were not able to see it in real time.
I'm so happy for Chayanne...I know that he has many more years of wonder ahead....he just keeps getting better with time.....

Well, it's out, the long awaited video to the hit song, Mi Enamore de Ti. Chayanne is incredible as always. The video is filmed in black and white, and sepia tones. This gives it that period look, which is incredible. They hit this one out of the park.

Hey peeps, well you know I try to keep you in the loop, so here goes.....
A few weeks ago the link came out for the "Mi Enamore de Ti" bachata dance contest cool right? There were going to be winners chosen from the U.S., Mexico, and Central America. Today there was a link put out for the contest again, but this time there is no mention of the contest being open to anyone from the U.S.
All of you know that I'm language challenged, so I'm not 100% sure but it's really noticeable that the United States is not mentioned. I'm not sure why they did this, but I'm sure there is a good reason.
Let me start this by saying, those of you that know me, know that I am language challenged. I adore the Spanish language especially the way that Chayanne speaks and sings, it will cast the most wonderful spell on you, one that you won't want to wake up from......I digress...let's move on to the contest and what I know.
The good news first. From what I can determine Chayanne is putting out a pre-sale version of his new CD, it is going to include a bunch of great extras including the batchta version of "Mi Enamore de Ti" (Bachata is a popular guitar music from the Dominican Republic. While bachata is based on the bolero rhythm, bachateros have traditionally included other kinds of music like son, merengue, vals and ranchera in their repertoires. The video into says something to the effect, "If you already bought the pre-sale disk, now only create a choreography/dance to the salsa version (of "Mi Enamore de Ti") that you have in your hands, dance record and go to YouTube!"
They will be accepting videos from Mexico, Central America, and the U.S. There will be three winners from these countries.They are not accepting anything sent in with fotos of Chayanne, either edited or otherwise. The videos that you make should be uploaded to YouTube. The contact information is included in Chayanne's video about the contest.
It looks as if the contest ends February 21, 2010. (But if your going to do this I wouldn't wait until the last minute!)
The bad news is no one I know seems to know where to purchase the pre-sale version of Chayanne's new CD! But no worries, the entire Twibe has there eyes and ears open and as soon as I find out any info, I will post it here on Caja!

This past weekend, Chayanne was a participant in a telethon in Mexico to help children with cancer. Chayanne sent a Tweet to the "Twibe" to tell us when he was about to go on! How cool is that? VERY! The fist song Chayanne sand was his new single "Mi Enamore de Ti" the them song from the telenovella "Corazon Salvaje".
I was lost in the sauce! Until we get to see the new video that Chayanne tapped recently, we will just have to do with watching these videos over and over and over again....now is that going to be so hard? I think not *WINK*

That it is the idea that Chayanne tried to always implement in his career, especially because this fluctuates between the musical creation and the offerings to act, two facets that have permitted him to be known in distant borders.
But to maintain this balance does not only require a hard effort. One must also know how to say "no". And, therefore, Chayanne did, when he decided not to accept the proposal from the televisión producer Salvador Mejía to be a part of the melodrama Corazón salvaje (Wild Heart) with a small role, whose main theme, Me enamoré de ti is interpreted by the boricua.
The "no" came supported by reasons of weight. The main one is that the singer is giving the last details to his next record production, that even though it does not yet have a title, it already has a date to go on sale: February 23, 2010.
Chayanne explains that "as far as the disk I do not believe I'm able to do any acting, invitations have been made, above all for the project Corazón salvaje, but it is not known when it will be finished, I am working on the disk, they invited me and honestly I do not believe I have the time."

"Mi Enamore De Ti" had been on the Billboard Latin Pop chart for three weeks, and in that time it has climbed to the number 5 spot thanks to all the mad airplay (keep requesting it to be played on your favorite station!) and the crazy sales. I'll be keeping an eye on you baby, I know you can get to number one!
"Mi Enamore De Ti" is currently sitting on spot 20 in the overall Billboard Latin category!

Chayanne started the filming of a new video today, he didn't tell us the song that the video is for, but.....if I were to guess...I would have to say "Mi Enamore de Ti". That song has been getting mad airplay since it's release. I would love to know how many units have been sold between Amazon.com and iTunes.
I'm telling you, if you're a Chayanne fan, and you're not following him on Twitter, you're missing out on half of the fun...the other half is getting to attend a concert and see him live!!! THAT my friends is the other half of ChayVille life that I am waiting to experience.

I met Chayanne while watching the lovely film "Dance With Me" in which is co-starred with Vanessa Williams, who is now playing the role of Wilhelmina Slater on "Ugly Betty". Chayanne was an unexpected, but VERY welcomed surprise. This surprise led me to want to find out exactly who this Latin hottie was exactly. And man did I find out! But watching Chayanne in DWM, wasn't the moment I fell in love.
The exact moment I fell in love was when I saw Chayanne's video "Guajira" for the first time. Let's be real, this video was made in 1996, and this fine Latin brotha made a music video with a Sista as the love interest. Tell me that's not progressive! How could I not love him, he is one of the most talented Latin Mega-Artists of our time.....OK, so the rippling pectorals in the video aren't bad either *WINK*
That being said, as in anything there are those moments when you rediscover why you fell in love in the first place, and Chayanne's new song "Mi Enamore de Ti" will take you right back to the very beginning of your Chayanne love affair.
