Chayanne Off-Tour Season Survival Kit

If you are anything like me dear readers, I know you too are both celebrating yet saddened by the end of Chayanne’s highly successful NHI tour.  That means no more pictures, no more clips of the live show, no more news paper articles describing the euphoria of being a witness to his magnificent show...  But alas, this also means that soon we will have new material to dance and sing along to… maybe a new series to watch?  With someone as talented as Chayanne, you never know what you will see next; you only know it will be AMAZING for sure.

So… What are we to do?  Sit around twiddling our thumbs until something new comes up (which is kind of like watching a pot of water boil)?  Keep a watchful eye on Chayanne’s posts on Twitter?  There are many things you can do, but here is Pandora’s Caja four main Recipes to survive this Off-Tour Season.

Recipe #1:  Start Your Own Complete Chayanne Collection

Just because we have new amazing material doesn’t mean the old should be forgotten.  Listen to Chayanne’s discography from the start… And I mean the start.  As in baby Chay singing “Mama Mia” with Los Chicos.  There is nothing better than to relax with music.  I personally turn on Chayanne’s discography on those days at work when I simply cannot take it any more (which lately has been pretty frequently).  And no matter how busy or upset I am regarding something at work, when “Fiesta in America” starts to play on my iPod.  I stop. I smile. And try very hard to not get up and dance. J

After the Cautivo/Mi Tiempo Tour finished, I spent most of my time scouring the internet for treasures missing from my collection.  You’ll be amazed at the things you’ll find.  I am pretty sure that I am the proud owner of a COMPLETE Chayanne Discography.  Through my search I discovered Japan’s release of Atado a Tu Amor (which I bought, and being a Japan lover, I am stoked that I have one of the best album with all the writing in Japanese and even a “How To dance Salsa” pamphlet, that came with the purchase of the album).  I also have the Album that was released in Australia.  Versions of Albums from Brazil and Argentina… the original LPs of Los Chicos and the first 2 albums (before CDs existed).  All in all, I just want you to experience the same thrill I felt at finding these treasures and proudly owning them now!  Start your researching!  Ebay and Amazon were very helpful for me but I bought many things from private collection websites you can find through any search engine.

*In your search for valuables, I hope you keep true to your morals and say NO! to piracy.  Chayanne would not want you to have his complete collection that way.  J

Recipe #2:  Watch Him NOW.

And no… I don’t mean in the stalker way.  Please don’t do that! HAHA!  On a lazy Saturday or Sunday night treat yourself to some Chayanne.  Get comfty in your couch and watch any of these:

·        Volver a Empezar - If you miss almost-naked-a-lot-of-the-time, long curly haired, running through the beach like a Puerto Rican God  Chayanne  http://www.amazon.com/Volver-Empezar-Rafael-Sanchez-Navarro/dp/B001TCL1O2/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1321024613&sr=1-1

·        Linda Sara - If you want to swoon imagining what a wooing “Chayanne in love with you unconditionally” would be like.  Besides, has there ever been another man that wears these hats better than him?!?!

·        Dance with Me - Because we all love to see Chayanne dancing, fixing things, smiling, with children, wearing nothing but a towel, wooing, breathing, SERIOUSLY WEARING NOTHING BUT A TOWEL.  http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Me-Vanessa-Williams/dp/0767812387/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1321024837&sr=1-1

·        Provocame - This telenovela from Argentina is responsible for making me think the name Pedro is maybe not that bad after all LOL! And most importantly, it is responsible for the hottest barn seen I have ever seen.  Don’t know what I am talking about?  Well, start watching!  Our dear ChayanneRocks has been graciously treating us to episodes through ProvocameTV.  http://www.facebook.com/ProvocameTV

·        Grandes Exitos - Because there is nothing better to do on a Saturday night than to lay on your couch watching Chayanne’s videos to some of his best songs.  http://www.amazon.com/Grandes-Exitos-Chayanne/dp/B00006JU6Q/ref=sr_1_3?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1321025399&sr=1-3

·        Chayanne Vivo - At the end of the day, we want to relive every moment and emotion from his shows.  Vivo does a great job of it.  There is not one time I’ve sit to watch, where the same emotion I left being at the show live does not overcome me and makes me shiver in happiness while watching the DVD from the comfort of my living room.  http://www.amazon.com/Chayanne-Vivo-Chayanne/dp/B001G6E7TW/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1321025399&sr=1-1

·        Gabriel – Do I really need a reason for this one? Mmmm let’s see.  I’ll just say.  Bathroom.  Shower.  Extra Scenes.  ‘Nough said!  The only scene that tops WEARING NOTHING BUT A TOWEL and THE BARN scenes is this show.  Also, Chayanne sports the hottest facial hair I have ever seen on a man in my 27 years of life throughout this entire series… So what are you waiting for?  If you have not watched it, you must!  http://www.amazon.com/Gabriel-Chayanne/dp/B002XLGOIQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1321025399&sr=1-2

Recipe #3:  Do Some Good in The World

This recipe has absolutely nothing to do with Chayanne.  Being the amazing person that he is, he has always encouraged those around him and his fans to participate in charitable organizations and events to help those in greater need than ourselves.  Take his example and see if you can participate in any For the Cure walks (Cancer, Diabetes, AIDS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s all come to mind).  Clean out your closets and donate your gently worn clothes and shoes to those in need.  The winter is almost here.  I am sure there are many who will benefit greatly from your gently used outer wear.  Why not spend a few hours a week at a local shelter giving cats and dogs the much needed love they need?  It will feel great and you will be an even more amazing person for it.

Recipe #4:  Stay Connected!

Chayanne fans are among the tightest group of women I have ever witnessed.  I have seen great friendships come from participating in chats, posting on the Chayanne.com forum (like Pandora’s and mine, xoxox!), Twitter and Facebook groups.  Don’t let your participation drop with this off-tour season!  Besides, who else will understand the withdrawal process that you are about to go through?  Definitely NOT your husbands and/or boyfriends.  I guarantee you that.  DO NOT look to them for sympathy (LOL).  Instead rely on the great friends you’ve met through your computer screens.  And please, rely on us here at Pandora’s Caja to bring you the most up-to-date news on our beloved.

Good Luck!  Please let us know if our recipes help you too!

Who Needs True Blood...We Have Sangre Latino! "Chayanne es Gabriel"

I know, I know, we've been over this subject quite a few times....but still.... I think there's more to talk about. Besides, who what fan could ever get tired of talking about Chayanne? Especially Chayanne as he portrays one of the sexiest vampires that has ever graced the screen large or small.

Just last night I was hanging out with followers of Pandora's Caja on Facebook, and we had a really nice time talking Chayanne, of course and his portrayal of Gabriel. (Hola's to Fernanda Monserrat, and Fatima Yazmin Valdivia Arizaga) Chayanne's turn as the sexy, sensual, Latin vampire resurfaced for PC (Pandora's Caja) since we were just talking about ways to occupy ourselves when the "No Hay Imposibles" tour is over.

Here on Pandora's Caja we have made the comparison between Chayanne as Gabriel and many vampires that have graced the silver screen, but I wanted to take a look at the character Garbriel and how he stands up to the vampires that are hot on the small screen right now.

Aiden Turner, Alexander Skarsgard, Chayanne (Center), Stephen Moyer, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley

"Being Human", "True Blood", "Vampire Diaries"....and Gabriel. In my mind the only difference between Chayanne es Gabriel and these other series is that they are on going television series versus the mini-series format that Gabriel was wrapped in.

Let your mind wander....just for a few minutes....what if Gabriel wasn't a mini-series, what if it was a fully developed television series? If it was, this article would be a mute issue because everyone would know that if you put that Latin Spin on the classic vampire profile you would have one unforgettable character.

The way that director Agustin, ended the Gabriel mini-series, there could be a season two....we wish that there would be a season two....maybe Gabriel will wake up in the shower a la "Bobby Ewing"and realize that everything that happened prior was all just a dream?

If you're a die hard fan of any of the vampire shows that are on television right now and you've never seen Gabriel, I challenge you to watch it and not fall in love.

~Peace

So with that said...and with only two shows left in the "No Hay Impossibles" tour. I'm going to leave you with a few pictures that Fantasia has posted. Much love and kudos go out to Fantasia
Chayane! This sister has been a champion at keeping PC followers swimming in amazing photographs of the tour. There are photos posted in the Chayanne Gallery from the performance in Tepec

The Great Chayanne Debate.....Chayanne On The Silver Screen

(Traducción al español más abajo)

There's been a really cool topic of discussion that's been going on for quite sometime. If you have ever read Chayanne's bio, you know that He is not a novice to acting. Chayanne has had several, acting roles on the small screen..."Volver Empezar", "Provocame", and recently "Gabriel", directed by Agustin and aired on the MEGA TV stations, as well as the silver screen, "Lina Sara", directed by Jacob Morales, and the incredible film "Dance With Me", co-starring with Vanessa Williams and directed by Randa Haines.

So it would only stand to reason that at some point Chayanne's fans would start to think about, what kind of movie project would we love to see Chayanne work on next. One of Chayanne's coolest fans, Anniee, of Chayanne Rocks fame, sent a Tweet one day in which she suggested to Chayanne that he would be great in a remake of the 1971 hit film "Billy Jack", starring Tom Laughlin in the title role.

Ok...I have to admit to my girl Anniee and the rest of the world that Chayanne would kick some major bootie as "Billy Jack"....and I think he would add some much needed Latin swagger to the role.

As for me, my picks for Chayanne would be for him to be the next James Bond, or Superman. Tell me that you can't see that! Just close your eyes for a minute and you can see it to, I know you can. There have many "James Bonds", Sean Connery, George Lanzenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and most recently Daniel Craig in "Casino Royal". But if you have seen Chayanne's video "No Te Preocupes Por Mi", you can see glimpses of just how awesome he would be as "James Bond" (And yes Anniee we all know there's a really cool cowboy thing that speaks to "Billy Jack" in the opening sequence! *WINK*)

Like I said for my next pic, Super Man, All you have to do is look at the most recent pictures from Chayanne's "No Hay Imposible Tour", and of course if you're one of the rare few that haven't seen them, there's plenty here in the box! But just to prove my point!

Is there any comparison? I think not! And let's just call a spade a spade...Chayanne would fill out those tights really well!

It's right here that I want to thank my Chay girl Kita, for giving me this bit of Chayanne trivia it can be found on Yahoo Movies. "With sold-out concerts, numerous gold and platinum recordings and a successful concert career, Chayanne made the move to feature films in a supporting role in Jacobo Morales' "Linda Sara" (1994). Although he reportedly auditioned for the role of Che in the film version of "Evita" (1996) and was under consideration for the title role in "The Mask of Zorro" (1998), he lost both roles to Banderas. When he came under consideration for the role in "Dance With Me"

With all due respect to my man Antonio, you're a super fine Latin hottie yourself...but Chayanne would have been incredible in "The Mask of Zorro" or Evita!

So I've pontificated enough on the subject....If there happens to be a casting agent out there in Cyberland that happens upon this blog, please, seriously consider Chayanne for your next male lead in your film I promise it will be the best decision that you've ever made....after all...Chayanne has ALOT of fans...and we like to spend money! *WINK*

* * WINK

Chayanne es Gabriel -VS - Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen

It appears to still be the season of the vampire, so with that in mind I had to think to myself which character is the better vampire?

I have to tell you, I am a huge fan of both. I love me some Chayanne, so seeing him play a vampire, vampires are after all are my favorite kind of monster, was a thrill ride all by itself! After reading the Twilight series and seeing the first installment of the films, Edward struck me as little vamp cutie himself. So it only stands to reason that somewhere along the line I would ask myself the ultimate question, "If you had to pick one, which one would it be?"

So let's break it down to the lowest common denominator......

Robert Pattinson is an excellent young actor, who has captured what in my mind is the perfect Edward Cullen. He's got that dark brooding thing going on that some fans find quite sexy... you just know there's some vampire passion under there! Robert Pattinson also plays the piano very well, so he's got some skills.

Chayanne, on the other hand who is a phenomenal actor in his own right....and did I mention that he can sing the torch right out of the Statue of Liberty's hand?......he can sing to you while he's getting ready to bite you.....any way, I digress, back to the issue at hand. Chayanne's natural sensuality lends itself amazingly well to the character type of a vampire. Oh yes, Gabriel can be dark and broody at times, but he comes with a six-pack that just makes you want to "holla"! You feelin' me? (Walk in closet...need I say more?)

I think we all know where I'm going with this one, Chayanne as Gabriel, hands down!

Well, you will have to answer this question for yourself. I would love to hear what you think. Holla back!

~Peace

A New Look at Chayanne Es Gabriel "Behind the Scenes"

No matter what language Chayanne is speaking we love him, but it's so cool when as an English speaking fan, I can get the scoop on anything that's related to Chayanne and it's in English!

When Gabriel debuted last year, there were plenty of behind the scenes sneak peeks and interviews of the incredible cast, but they were all in Spanish. this particular behind the scenes clip has the narration in English!

The clip was posted on both the LFC (Latino Film Chatter) web site as well as the LFC video channel on YouTube! LFC is going to have all the exclusives on Gabriel and it's release, check it out!

To DVD or ot to DVD...That is the question~

It's 16 days until "All Hallows Eve", or as most people would have it "Halloween". A time when everyone is thinking about goblins, ghouls, witches, and of course vampires. So since we're talking vampires, we just have to talk about Chayanne es Gabriel.

We all know that were in the season of Gabriel's first anniversary. By this time last year we had seen about two episodes, and were chatting online and posting on all the Chayanne fan sites about how much we couldn't wait until Sunday night to see the next episode.....well it's a year later and we really want to see Gabriel come to DVD.

I don't know who decides what comes out on DVD and what doesn't, but there has got to be some way that the powers that be can let the fans of Chayanne, and the fans of Gabriel have the ability to see it anytime they want.

I have seen some of the worst movies, mini-series, and seasonal television shows come to DVD, how is it that Gabriel, the ground breaking Spanish language mini-series, not be available to the public after one year?

Listen, let's just "break this down to its most common denominator", as my kids like to say. There is no reason why Gabriel isn't on DVD. Let's just do the math, Chayanne as Gabriel + millions of fans (world wide) = Killer DVD Sales! MEGA TV, SBS and all other parties involved would be happy$$$$$, and all of Chays fan would not just be happy, but truly overjoyed.

There were many of Chay's fans that had the joy of seeing Chayanne es Gabriel on MEGA TV, but for all of us that were lucky enough to see the mini series, there are many more fans who have only been able to live vicariously though others to even have a glimpse into what the Gabriel experience was all about.

So please give it some serious thought.......peace.

Chayanne es Gabriel, A Look Back!

It was a year ago around this time that the highly anticipated mini-series Gabriel hit the small screen. It could only be seen on Mega-TV, which left many Chayanne fans out in the cold.

I was fortunate to have been able to see this incredible piece of work. When the series ended I found myself hoping that somehow they would keep the series going, but alas,it was not mean to be.

I won't take up too much of your time here, but I do want to say, "Chayanne, job well done! We all hope to see you in another acting role soon. Big screen or small screen, we don't care....OK that's not quite true....in your case bigger is better" *WINK*

Here are just a few of my favorite moments from Gabriel~

Oh, yea I almost forgot to tell you...it did get a little steamy! It's Chayanne,he can't help but be steamy~
