Premio lo Nuestro 2011: Among the Nominees Are Alejandro Sanz, Chayanne and Enrique Iglesias

It's that time again....and what would the Premio lo Nuestro awards be without Chayanne? It would still be good show...but it wouldn't be a GREAT show! As we told you in a prior post, Chayanne has scored three nominations in the Premio's. (Way to go Chayanne!) I'm sure it's obvious who I'm cheering for! However, there are other incredible artists that have been nominated either in the same categories as Chayanne or other categories.

Over the next several weeks Caja will be posting spotlights, in the "Latidos" and "Rhythms and Blogs" sections of the Caja, on all of the artists that have been nominated for a Premio. We will also be shining the spot light on some of the artists both Latin as well as other genres that have been nominated for a Grammy. Some of the artists have been nominated for both! For example, Alejandro Sanz has been nominated for both a Premio and a Grammy, way to go Alejandro.....hopefully next year Chayanne will be nominated for both as well....did you hear that Grammy people! LOL!

So keep an eye out for more information on Chayanne, as always, as well as the nominees for the Premio's and the Grammy's!

~Peace

Hot Off the Press: Billboard's Best of 2010 Released. Chayanne, Aventura & Enrique Iglesias Rule!!

Hips are not the only ones that don’t lie… Neither do the Billboard Charts.  This week, the official End of Year charts were published by Billboard for the best of 2010.  Many of Caja’s favorites made it big this year.  Of course I must begin with Chayanne (I know you saw that coming!).  It does not surprise me at all that his album No Hay Imposibles put him on the top 10 of almost all the pop charts.  The album, which was released on February 23, 2010 along with its first single Me Enamore de Ti have sustained good numbers through the year, which I am sure is the result of the fact that
1) The album absolutely rocks and…
2) The accompanying tour was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

In summary, Chayanne reached the following position in the Latin Music Charts:
Chart                                   Position
Latin Pop Songs                 #6  out of 25
Hot Latin Songs                 #36 out of 75
Hot Latin Songs Artist       #21 out of 50
Top Latin Albums              #8 out of 75
Top Latin Album Artist      #16 out of 50
Latin Pop Albums              #5 out of 20
Latin Pop Album Artist      #6 out of 10

Let’s hope that these showings serve as a wakeup call for a certain award committee. *wink*

The undisputed rulers of the Latino charts this year are Aventura and Enrique Iglesias.  Aventura are nicknamed the Kings and that they are.  The album The Last, released on June 9, 2009 has taken the #1 position in the Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Album Artist, Tropical Albums and Tropical Album Artists, Tropical Songs and Tropical songs Artists.  I know you’ve found yourself signing “Dile al amor, que no toque mi puerta…” more than once.  The song Dile Al Amor also ranked #4 in Latin Pop Songs, and #3.

Topping the Hot Latin Songs and Latin Pop Songs chart is Enrique Iglesias and Juan Luis Guerra with their hit Cuando Me Enamoro, (found in this album Euphoria, released July 6, 2010).  Euphoria, his comeback album after a 3 year hiatus, also holds the #1 position in the Latin Pop Albums chart and Latin Pop Album Artists and the #2 position in the Top Latin Albums chart.

Other notables include Alejandro Sanz, whose Paraiso Express  (released April 27, 2010) granted him the#25 position in Hot Latin Songs Artists and the #17 position in Latin Pop Albums.  Mark Anthony rounded #3 position in Top Latin Albums, #2 position in Latin Pop Albums and #2 position in Latin Pop Album Artists for Iconos

I am personally very happy to see where the top of the charts laid this year.  2010 was a very good year for Latin Music and all chosen artists are well deserved.  Here’s to hoping 2011 will be equally amazing.

Congratulations to all the artists!!

Chayanne, Alejandro Sanz, and Chenoa Advocate for Animal Rights Laws

Wherever there is a need in the world, Chayanne is there. This time, Chayanne is lending his voice to those who cannot speak for themselves, animals. Chayanne, Alejandro Sanz (another favorite of mine), Chenoa, and a host of other Latin celebs participated in a PSA for Animal Rights Laws in Spain.

Anniee of Chayanne Rocks posted a response on Twitter today that really said it all, so I will borrow a few words from my dear friend. "Chayanne, just when I think I can't love you any more you teach me how bottomless my heart is and how unlimited love can be."

I'm leaving you with a link to a great article on the making of the video. http://www.publico.es/agencias/efe/348215/alejandro-sanz-chayanne-y-chenoa-piden-en-video-una-ley-de-proteccion-animal

Enough said, Peace~

Top Hispanics Follow-Minute Rescue Of Miners

I want to take a minute to give thanks to the Almighty God that all f the miners in Chile have been rescued. Some of you may believe in God, some of you may not...and that's the beauty of choice. But as for me, I know to whom I give the honor and the glory.

Many blessings to the miners, their family and friends, and all of the millions of people who have been keeping them lifted up in prayer. With that said......

Alejandro Sanz, Ricky Martin, Chayanne and Daddy Yankee are some who have seen and commented on various points of departure of workers.

They had sent their signs of support for Chile in the hours before the start of the rescue of 33 miners, but after the first ascent of the capsule Phoenix II, last night, it was clear they were so attentive to every rescue as alternative much of the world.

Are the Latin music stars, who through their Twitter accounts have commented on the different stages of the mine rescue in San Jose, from the first minutes of this historic Wednesday 13 October.

Around midnight, the Puerto Rican Ricky Martin made it clear he was following the scenes of the operation with an eloquent "CHI CHI CHI LE LE LE!! COME!! # FUERZAMINEROS."

In that same moment, his compatriot Chayanne published: "I am asking God that everything goes well with the trapped miners, I hope to give them a hug in person..soon." Previously he had said "my heart is with you" to a Chilean fan who asked him a greeting. He completed: "My heart goes out to the families."

On the side of reggaeton, the Puerto Rican also Daddy Yankee dawn tweeted, "Good job Chile, their prayers have been answered. God is Great! Blessings Jimmy to enjoy every moment of life with your family," said the newly rescued Jimmy Sánchez.

Just as emotional and religious was Tito El Bambino : "Thanks to God and left the first Chilean Chile I'm with you," he wrote after the departure of Florencio Avalos, who sent "congratulations", only to be attentive to the second output. "In the studio working and waiting to see when you leave Mario Sepúlveda" tweeted.

Another Puerto Rican Resident (René Pérez Joglar) Calle 13, used to claim to the workers: "What joy, what joy.'s good for the miners in Chile. Long live the working people, working people. They are the blood of the countries "he wrote last night. This morning he added that "Today, 13 Calle 13 sends a hug to mine number 13."

Colombia's Fanny Lu also stays up late for the miners: "The first mining in the capsule! Live an exciting time to live in Chile !!!", wrote last night. This morning, meanwhile, greeted his first tweeted, "Good morning! Dawn and with 13 miners out of the mine! Chile Congratulations!".

Alejandro Sanz , meanwhile, confessed that "I fell asleep last night following the rescue, and greeted by name at last rescued:" They just go up to number 20. Darío Segovia. "

Again for Puerto Rico, Luis Fonsi was particularly attentive. "Awesome I'm seeing right now! Chile, my heart is with you," tweeted last night while rescuing Florencio Avalos. When the miners reached the surface, he added, "This is history!! Saw the face of your son ... uffff God is great."

But just as some still watch the ransom, others were completely lost. Mexico is the case of Jesus Navarro , Reik singer, who this morning asked "How many miners are?", before confessing that he would sleep a little longer. On waking added: "I drove the miners? All all?”

Who Wouldn't Want A Celeb Follower on Twitter? TwitChange

The motto of TwitChange is "Changing the world one Tweet at a time". This is their first ever celebrity auction. It started on September 15 and goes until September 25. All of the proceeds from the auction will be going to A Home In Haiti.Org "All proceeds from the TwitChange celebrity auction will provide aHomeInHaiti.org the means to finish rebuilding the Miriam Center. The Miriam Center houses, educates and loves on Haitian children with cerebral palsy, severe autism, and other major life challenges and is one of the only facilities of its kind in Haiti. The current facility houses children in the earthquakeʼs aftermath and is extremely overcrowed. These kids need and deserve a permanent home. aHomeInHaiti.org has provided over $1.5 million in tents to homeless Haitians since the earthquake. They have created a movement of tens of thousands of people across the globe to provide more tents than nearly any established organization or government in the world - all through the power of Social Media. Now, in the first project of Phase 2, we look to break more records! We know that together with YOU, the Miriam Center, the largest and best center of its kind in Haiti will be built!"

The list of celebrities is incredible! The only questions I have is where is my Chayanne! I looked for his name but I couldn't find him! WAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Seriously I know he's been killer busy with his "No Hay Imposible" tour. He just got back from Spain....besides, I know he's saving his tweets for me....right Papi? (I know, some body tell the blog writer to snap out of it!) LOL
