I Know The Very Moment...I Fell In Love With You

Ask any Chayanne fan, and they will be able to tell you the very moment that they fell in love with Chayanne.

I met Chayanne while watching the lovely film "Dance With Me" in which is co-starred with Vanessa Williams, who is now playing the role of Wilhelmina Slater on "Ugly Betty". Chayanne was an unexpected, but VERY welcomed surprise. This surprise led me to want to find out exactly who this Latin hottie was exactly. And man did I find out! But watching Chayanne in DWM, wasn't the moment I fell in love.

The exact moment I fell in love was when I saw Chayanne's video "Guajira" for the first time. Let's be real, this video was made in 1996, and this fine Latin brotha made a music video with a Sista as the love interest. Tell me that's not progressive! How could I not love him, he is one of the most talented Latin Mega-Artists of our time.....OK, so the rippling pectorals in the video aren't bad either *WINK*



That being said, as in anything there are those moments when you rediscover why you fell in love in the first place, and Chayanne's new song "Mi Enamore de Ti" will take you right back to the very beginning of your Chayanne love affair.

The chart topping single has been available for purchase for about 9 days, and it is all the buzz in Chayville! Chayanne is currently in the studio working on his new project which will be out in February, and yes I do pre-order!

Peek-a-Boo, I See You!

That was the response to the photo that Chayanne shared with fans late today. Chayanne tweeted to the "Twibe" (fans that follow Chayanne on Twitter), that he has been in a photo shoot for the past two days. Yes my people, he's taking photos for his upcoming CD!

As you can imagine, after he tweeted that he was in a photo shoot, the Twibe tweeted so much requesting that he send a pic, that I really wonder how his cell phone didn't experience a case of spontaneous combustion! Although I'm really glad that it didn't, then he wouldn't be able to tweet. None the less, Twitter blew up with all kinds of requests for just a peek!

As Chay said so sweetly under the pic, "No se decirles q no, aca tienen una pequeña muestra del dia de hoy. I can't say no, here is a bit of today". Lucky for us that he didn't say no, how could he, after all we are as he calls us, "His Loves". This coming from the brotha' who's smile could launch 10,000 ships!

Chayanne Nominated for a Best Actor Emmy

Today Diverso Magazine announced in an article that Indira Paez and Agustin were both nominated for "Best Screenplay" for Gabriel, the miniseries that starred Chayanne as the title character.

The following is a translation of the above article:

(Indira Páez)… Was Nominated for an Emmy for the Series Gabriel

The Venezuelan written was nominated as co-author of this script’s production, which starred the Puertorican Singer and actor Chayanne and in which El Puma had special participation

The miniseries produced by Megafilms and which stars Chayanne, “Gabriel, Amor Inmortal”, obtained eight Emmy nominations, including Best Script of a Series, of which the Venezuelan writer Indira Páez is co-author, alongside her colleague Agustin.

The other nominations for the series, which includes a special participation from José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma”, are: Best Program (category in which the producers Raúl Alarcón, Agustín and Armando Castro are nominated); Best Actress (Angélica Celaya, for her role as Eva); Best Actor, Chayanne (As Gabriel, the vampire); Best Post-production (Eddie Urrutia); Best Editing (Eddie Urrutia, Ramiro Pardo, Boris Urrutia and Jokes Yanes); Best Sound (Eddie Urrutia) and Best Variety Specials Program (for the behind the scenes titled “Gabriel, Descubriendo el Secreto” by Manuel Elgarresta and Kevin Canache).

Indira Páez, wife of Singer-songwriter Frank Quintero, is known in Venezuela for her soap operas and theater pieces, such as “Se Solicita Príncipe Azul” (transmitted by Venevisión in 2005) and the play “Amaneci con Ganas de Morirme”.

About the series

“Gabriel, Amor Inmortal” is a miniseries of 10 episodes, taped between January and October 2008 and transmitted in November and December 2008 in the United States. Besides the singer and actor Chayanne and the actress Angélica Celaya, others present in the miniseries are Juan David Ferrer, Álvaro Ruiz, Julián Gil, Sebastián Ligarde, Mirta Renée y Laura Ferretti, among others.

The series raised controversy by presenting for the first time in Latin television in the United States a vampire seeking redemption and who refuses to accept his destiny as a murderer. It is a suspenseful love story that counted on great production efforts from Megafilms and Mega TV, a local Miami television channel.

Rain On My Window, A Cup Of Coffee In My Hand, and Chayanne On My iPod

It's been raining and cold here for three days. The sun tried to peek out for a little while, but it wasn't quite strong enough to break through the clouds...for me there's only two things to make the gloomy doldrums retreat. A fresh cup of brewed coffee, and the sweet voice of Chayanne whispering in my ears.

Chayanne Sends Twit Pic From The Sound Studio!

All of you should know by now that I take it as a personal challenge to keep you as informed as possible about what's happening in Chayville. PBS Airs Chayanne's Concert Vivo

WPBT2, a PBS station in Miami, Florida did an interview with Chayanne as a precursor to the airing of Chayanne's live concert Vivo. The cocnert was aired as a fundraiser for PBS that needs the support of its viewers to be able to continue to produce and provide the wonderful programming that it has become know for.

Chayanne's concert was aired on October 8th at 8:00 pm, unfortunate if you didn't live in the Miami area, you weren't able to view the program.....there are some of us that would have moved to Miami had they had enough notice ;)

If You Blink.....You Just Might Miss Him!

If you've been keeping up with Chayanne, you know that his summer hiatus is definitely over. As recently as last week pictures were circulating of Chayanne on one of his morning runs that he has "tweeted" about lately.





It's no wonder that Chayanne has to keep in such great shape, not only is Chayanne working on a new CD, he's also managed to find the time to endorse a new cologne called "Brizza" This was first posted on one the Chayanne fan sites Lastremendasdechayanne(Forum) by Tremenda Pau.













Brizza is scheduled to hit the market Christmas 2009...don't get too excited though, from what I can gather the cologne will only be available in Mexico. I think it's only offered through a catalog.(If I find out more about how you can purchase Brizza, I will try my best to put it on the blog.)

Can you just imagine, Chay Sista's rushing to buy this cologne.....I can hear the Christmas morning conversation now, "Hey honey, I bought you think new cologne. I just love the way it smells, can you try it on for me?" All this while Competemente Enamorados is playing in the background *WINK*

Chayanne es Gabriel, A Look Back!

It was a year ago around this time that the highly anticipated mini-series Gabriel hit the small screen. It could only be seen on Mega-TV, which left many Chayanne fans out in the cold.

I was fortunate to have been able to see this incredible piece of work. When the series ended I found myself hoping that somehow they would keep the series going, but alas,it was not mean to be.

I won't take up too much of your time here, but I do want to say, "Chayanne, job well done! We all hope to see you in another acting role soon. Big screen or small screen, we don't care....OK that's not quite true....in your case bigger is better" *WINK*

Chayanne First Runner Up in The Mr. World Twitter Contest , It Was About More Than Just Winning

Well people of Chayville, we have fought the good fight, and we are all the better for it. Today was the last day to vote for Mr. World Twitter. What is Mr. World Twitter, you may ask?

For those of you who "tweet" and even for those of you who don't, Tweeter Wall is another one of those cute websites designed by MallPlace. You can vote for your favorite Twitter profile on everything from celebrities, celebrity fan profiles, to pet profiles.

Chayanne, thanks to the many wonderful devoted fans, made it to the ultimate Twitter Wall contest, "Mr. World Twitter". Two weeks of competitive voting, day and night Chay fans around the world banned together to push our beloved Chayanne to the top! I thought we had a good handle on the lead, but during the last 48 hrs of the contest Chayanne moved to second place behind..let's just call him the "pasty one".

Chayanne will still have his place on the Twitter wall of fame for being first runner up. Are we as his fans disappointed, or course we are, but not for the reasons that you think. We are disappointed because Chayanne is a real person and he didn't deserve to come in second place to a fictional character from...what's the name of that show, never mind I can't remember ;)

Anyway, I am so proud of all the fans. You wouldn't believe all the creative campaigning that was going on! Fans were posting information on Chayanne Dot Net, FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter of course, but there was one fan that came up with a great idea, Teresa, and another fan, Anniee of ChayanneRocks fame took it and ran with it. Anniee put together a great piece of campaign film for Chayanne and posted it on YouTube. Warning! If you have a heart condition, are subject to fainting spells, sweaty palms, or uncontrollable drooling, you might want to prepare yourself prior to viewing....consider yourself warned!



I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Chayanne is aware of the many great fans that he has. If I didn't know it before, my heart is assured that when you get fans together like the fans that Chayanne has, we all come in first place.

Keeping Up With Chayanne!

Well people it seems as if there is a rainbow in the horizon of Chayville, not only has Chayanne been gifting his fans with personal pics of his recent activities, he's also shared with us that he is back at the studio hard at work on a new CD, but first things first.

Yesterday Chayanne gave the people a link in his Tweet, the link connected us to "Chayanne Nuestro Tiempo". On this site there was a great article about Chayanne that explained one of the TwitPics that he had recently shared.

Chayanne was a celebrity participant in the "Make a Wish Foundations" Peru chapter's September fundraiser. Chayanne made a mask, he made it a pirate how cute is that, that was be sold at auction on September 23....I wonder if the highest bidder happens to live in Colorado.....hmmmm, any way, I really do wonder how much that mask sold for? Really you can't put a price on all of the great things that Chayanne does to give back to the community.

Chayanne has also shared with us that he is back in the studio hard at work on his new CD! How awesome is that! Personally this will be the first CD release that I will have experienced since becoming a Chay Fan. Chayanne's last CD "Mi Tiempo" was already on the racks and the tour was finished by the time I really got into things.

Trust I'm not going to miss anything this go round.

Yesterday on Twitter Chayanne Tweeted Sorpresaaaaaaaaaaaaa corran a ver mi myspace....http://www.myspace.com/chayanneofficialsite... So of course we feverishly searched the site looking for the surprise! I have to admit that I missed it the first time, but thanks to a few of the Twitterers I was able to find the link.

Chayanne was really sweet though, he realized that some of his fans had didn't have access the the clip on his MSP, so he very kindly posted the link to the video on YouTube. This is just another way to see how Chayanne gives back, his many humanitarian endeavours speak for themselves.

And as for the way that he treats is fans, he just has this way of making you feel really special, you couldn't ask for any better than that~ Thanks Chay

Well, Papi Chulo has struck again! Not only was he tweeting with fans all day, but he even gave us another photo. He said that it was a pic of him reading all of his fans messages on Twitter.

All I can say is that I am so happy that I tweet! Chay, keep the pictures comin', we will never be able to get enough!

Chayanne is BLOWING UP On Twitter!

Ok, let me set the record straight, the only reason that I Twitter is because Chayanne got on Twitter....and you know if Chayanne is in, I'm trying to be in to. I've found that if you want to be up to date on all things Chayanne, you have to have to know where to go.

But until recently I didn't even know that you could upload pictures on Twitter, see my last post on Chayanne and TwitPic), now I have found out that Twitter has video! Can you believe it? Now hold on to your wig...or in some case tracks, you know what I'm talking about! Chayanne uploaded a video!

I won't talk much more about it I'll just let you see it for your self!

Chayanne, never ceases to amaze...just when you feel as if you're at the end of your rope, Papi gives us a little something to keep us hanging in there!

This week Chayanne gave us a lovely TwitPic of himself on vacation in Italy...as one wonderful Chayn fan put it....Lucky bird!
As if that wasn't enough he then proceeded to post a picture of himself in the pool...I'm assuming his pool....did I mention...wet! Ok, so you can see that...I just wanted to say it out loud!



On the video tip, Chayanne has mad available two videos from his younger days!

These two videos give you a look at a time in Chayanne's career, when he could probable only imagine what a Mega Star he would become....as the much more mature man that we can now drool over without feeling like we might go to jail! LOL

Chayanne ~ Mi Tiempo

Chayanne's 2007 CD release "Mi Tiempo", is the first CD of Chayanne's that I ever purchased. You know how you might listen to one or two songs from an artist that you like, then you dash out and buy the CD just to be disappointed in the rest of the the tracks, Mi Tiempo was nothing like that After listening to the entire CD....many times, I realized that Chayanne was going to be a permanent part of my life.

I would have to say that my favorite tracks are of course Si Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo, with Sin Palabras de Relleno running a very close second. If you're already a Chayanne fan, I know you have this CD already, but if you're a new Chayanne fan, and you came in on the CD release VIVO, then you need to add this to your collection!
