Chayanne Speaks of Panama with Love

Tonight's the night! Chayanne and crew have landed in Panama and are preparing to set the stage on fire! Not only are the people of Panama going to enjoy the show, they're also going to be able to help Chayanne celebrate his spot on "Billboards Hot Tours".

"Latin superstar Chayanne ranks third on the list with concert totals reported from four South American cities on his April tour schedule.  The first two shows were at venues in Ecuador with sellout crowds in both markets.  The first concert was held at Coliseo General Rumiñahui in the city of Quito.  The indoor sports arena sold 13,695 tickets for an April 7 performance.  A stadium show at Estadio Modelo Alberto Spencer in Guayaquil followed on the 9th with a sellout crowd of 20,911.  The following week the Latin pop singer played two concerts in Peru, first at Lima's Jockey Club on April 14 followed by a show at Jardin de la Cerveza in the city of Arequipa on April 16."

Chayanne shares this list with such world wide mega stars as Justin Beiber, Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks,  Keith Urban, Elton John, Disturbed, Arcade Fire, Chris Brown, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, and James Taylor.

To get the people of Panama ready Chayanne sent out "Tweets of Love" yesterday, he said, " I do wish to thank the support and greetings of congratulations on the Billboard Award - Tour of the year! I feel very happy and this award is yours, who always supported my career and enjoy what we do ... THANKS! Getting ready to go to Panama! Let's have fun! My love, I speak when it comes to Panama ... spend a nice day."

With That said...people of Panama, hold on to your hats. This is going to be the best Chayanne party EVER!

Chayanne, Getting Ready To Set It Off!!

You know things are about to heat up when "The Big Man" fires up the Twitter Machine!Yesterday Chayanne Tweeted to the twibe, "Good morning my loves" (Don't you just love it!!), "It's been a long time since I was here to talk with you. Since we started 2011? My beautiful people I leave you with a big hug and will talk to you soon!" How cute is that. Well of course Chayanne fans started tweeting back to Chayanne so fast I thought Twitter was going to catch on fire! LOL

Any way, the NHI Mother Ship has landed in Mexico where they're getting ready to start rehearsals. Get yourselves prepared people of Mexico, you're in for a smokin' not good time!

Chayanne's "No Hay Imposibles" continues to stay on the Billboard Charts, even after 46 weeks since it's release. NHI is currently in spot number 10 on the Billboard Latin Pop Album Chart. NHI is back in the top ten after pulling up from last weeks spot at number 11.

No Hay Imposibles is holding in the top 40 on the Billboard Latin Albums Chart at position 39. It has moved up from position number 52 in the last week! (I want to pause to give major shout outs to TeresaChayfan on Twitter for being diligent in her efforts to petition radio and television stations to play Chay's songs and videos. Keep it up sister girl!)

"Si No Estas" is in position 17 on the Billboard Top 20 Latin Pop Songs Chart, up 2 positions from last weeks place of 19.

Hot Off the Press: Billboard's Best of 2010 Released. Chayanne, Aventura & Enrique Iglesias Rule!!

Hips are not the only ones that don’t lie… Neither do the Billboard Charts.  This week, the official End of Year charts were published by Billboard for the best of 2010.  Many of Caja’s favorites made it big this year.  Of course I must begin with Chayanne (I know you saw that coming!).  It does not surprise me at all that his album No Hay Imposibles put him on the top 10 of almost all the pop charts.  The album, which was released on February 23, 2010 along with its first single Me Enamore de Ti have sustained good numbers through the year, which I am sure is the result of the fact that
1) The album absolutely rocks and…
2) The accompanying tour was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

In summary, Chayanne reached the following position in the Latin Music Charts:
Chart                                   Position
Latin Pop Songs                 #6  out of 25
Hot Latin Songs                 #36 out of 75
Hot Latin Songs Artist       #21 out of 50
Top Latin Albums              #8 out of 75
Top Latin Album Artist      #16 out of 50
Latin Pop Albums              #5 out of 20
Latin Pop Album Artist      #6 out of 10

Let’s hope that these showings serve as a wakeup call for a certain award committee. *wink*

The undisputed rulers of the Latino charts this year are Aventura and Enrique Iglesias.  Aventura are nicknamed the Kings and that they are.  The album The Last, released on June 9, 2009 has taken the #1 position in the Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Album Artist, Tropical Albums and Tropical Album Artists, Tropical Songs and Tropical songs Artists.  I know you’ve found yourself signing “Dile al amor, que no toque mi puerta…” more than once.  The song Dile Al Amor also ranked #4 in Latin Pop Songs, and #3.

Topping the Hot Latin Songs and Latin Pop Songs chart is Enrique Iglesias and Juan Luis Guerra with their hit Cuando Me Enamoro, (found in this album Euphoria, released July 6, 2010).  Euphoria, his comeback album after a 3 year hiatus, also holds the #1 position in the Latin Pop Albums chart and Latin Pop Album Artists and the #2 position in the Top Latin Albums chart.

Other notables include Alejandro Sanz, whose Paraiso Express  (released April 27, 2010) granted him the#25 position in Hot Latin Songs Artists and the #17 position in Latin Pop Albums.  Mark Anthony rounded #3 position in Top Latin Albums, #2 position in Latin Pop Albums and #2 position in Latin Pop Album Artists for Iconos.

I am personally very happy to see where the top of the charts laid this year.  2010 was a very good year for Latin Music and all chosen artists are well deserved.  Here’s to hoping 2011 will be equally amazing.

Chayanne Ends U.S. Tour With A Bang And A Spot On Billboards Top Ten!

http://www.billboard.com/charts/latin-pop-albums

While we all wish that Chayanne's US tour could last forever, we all know that it had to come to and end, or at least to a long pause. But what a way to go! While Chayanne was rockin' out fans Houston's Toyota Center, his off the chain album of the same name "No Hay Imposibles", was moving up the Billboard's Latin Top Ten Pop Charts from 10 spot on last weeks charts to number 8 this week. What's awesome is that not only did NHI move up in the charts, out of the top ten it's been on the charts the longest at 40 weeks! Also out of the top ten albums it scores second in biggest jumps, first was Alejandro Fernandez's "Dos Mundos Revolucion" which has only been on the charts for 1 week.

(Me thinks me smells a Grammy!)

So let's help keep NHI on top of the Billboards, send email, texts and tweets to your local stations and request songs from NHI. (Billboard also tracks albums and singles with the most airplay!) With that said, while Chayanne and crew are resting up, I'm going to leave you with some really nice pics from the Houston concert. (Many thanks to Rossy for sharing these pics!)

Latin Billboards Best Of The Decade 2000!

It's out, and Chayanne is on it....several times! Billboards "Best of the 2000's" list. Under the Latin division there are three categories, Latin Songs, Latin Artists, and Latin Albums (yes they still call them albums, even though they are almost all CD's).

Chayanne's CD's that hit the Billboards "Best of the 2000's were "Mi Tiempo and Grandes Exitos

This the the break down for Chayanne:

~ Latin Pop Artist : Chayanne comes in at number 2 (Out of 10 - Juanes came in at number 1)
~ Overall Latin Artist: Chayanne comes in at number 13 (Out of 100)

~ Latin Pop Songs: Chayanne comes in at number 6 with "Y Tu Te Vas" and number 8 with "Si Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo" and number 15 with "Yo Te Amo", 36 with "Atado A Tu Amor", 39 with "Cuidarte El Alma", and finally number 44 with "Un Siglo Sin Ti".  (Out of 50; Chayanne was the only artist that had this many songs listed in this category!)

~ Overall Latin Songs: Chayanne comes in at number 14 with "Y Tu Te Vas", 81 with "Cuidarte El Alma", 84 with "Yo Te Amo", and rounding it out, 87 with "Un Siglo Sin Ti". (Out of 100)

~Latin Pop Album: This is a no score for Chayanne (Out of 20 - Big rip off..but I'm not going to complain *SCOWL*)
~ Overall Latin Album: Chayanne comes in at number 63 with "Grandes Exitos"

~Latin Pop Album Artist: Chayanne comes in at number 10 (Out of 10)

~Tropical Song: Chayanne scores number 39 with "Y Tu Te Vas" (Out of 50)

Basically, Chayanne was a heavy hitter for this just passing decade, and I expect nothing less from him in the decades that are to come....
My question for Billboard is this, "When are you going to update your Chayanne picture? I mean Papi is fine in every picture, but come on now.....

Chayanne just keeps getting better with time....

....and time sure is getting better with Chayanne!

Chayanne's New Single Number 5 on Billboard Latin Pop Chart

"Mi Enamore De Ti" had been on the Billboard Latin Pop chart for three weeks, and in that time it has climbed to the number 5 spot thanks to all the mad airplay (keep requesting it to be played on your favorite station!) and the crazy sales. I'll be keeping an eye on you baby, I know you can get to number one!

"Mi Enamore De Ti" is currently sitting on spot 20 in the overall Billboard Latin category!
