#ThrowbackThursday - Promo Shots for Chayanne es Gabriel

I thought I would jump on the social media trend called #ThrowbackThursday, #Throwback, or simply #TBT. "What does this have to do with Chayanne",  you ask? Plenty!. I was perusing through Facebook as I do every day; when I saw a post from another fan, Gabriela Alejandra (Love you girl!). In the post was a picture that was taken as part of a series of photos for the telenovela "Gabriel" starring Latin superstar Chayanne.

It's very rare that I come across a picture of Chayanne that I haven't seen, BUT wonders never cease. This particular photo as I recall, was actually only seen during a few seconds of maybe one or two scenes out of the entire run of the novella.

This photo is one of the pictures taken by BENHUR Photography. In the telenovela, it was seen as an old black and white news paper clipping, setting in our minds that the title character is a man that have lived for centuries. Vampire!

Enjoy Pandora's Caja #ThrowbackThursday, #Throwback, #TBT photos. Did I fail to mention #Chayanne #SEXYBEYONDALLBELIEF !

Much Love My Beautiful People!

Our Favorite Vampire Rises Today! Chayanne es Gabriel

Tis the day for ghosties, goblins, and ghoulies; and tonight it's time for our favorite vampire Gabriel (Chayanne) from the mini-series Amor Inmortal.

Since the stellar debut of Gabriel, Amor Inmortal in September of 2008 (it's hard to believe that it's been so long), the title character as played by Chayanne has got to be on the list of one of the sexiest vampires of all time.

Pandora's Caja has covered this ground before, and I am still convinced that even though there have been a whole slew of new vampires, werewolves, ghosts and zombies to hit both the large and small screen, Chayanne as Gabriel is still my number one choice for for vampire hottie of the month.

......To Anne Rice, if you're thinking of writing another vampire novel and you want to make it into a movie, I have just the guy to play the leading role. Give me a call, we can talk about it over lunch ;)

In the meantime, tonight in honor of the day, I'm going to curl up with a big bowl of buttery popcorn, a nice glass of wine, red of course, and watch Chayanne es Gabriel.....no tricks for me baby, only treats.

Much Love, Pandora~

Many thanks to Red Sun Designs for all the wonderful graphics! Love You Much!

Chayanne Es Gabriel Making It's Mark In Horror Films Yet Again

Written and Directed by Agustin, starring Chayanne, El Puma, and the lovely Angelica Celaya

It's really hard to believe that it's been four years since "Chayanne es Gabriel" rocked the socks off of it's viewers. For us as Chayanne fans, what would this time of year be without our trusty "Gabriel" DVD!

What's even more amazing is that "Chayanne es Gabriel is still making notables lists. There was a really great article that came out today on "My San Antonio", called "Latinos on strong list of horror movies", and Gabriel was on the list...of course!

This is what they said, "

“Gabriel”
What is it: A 2008 Spanish-language miniseries about immortal love involving vampire Gabriel Marquez, who longs to be reunited his true love. Puerto Rican singer Chayanne plays the title character.
Why see it: If you're a fan of telenovelas and you like your vampires on the sexy side, then you'll want to check this out.
Where to find it: All 10 episodes are available on DVD in Spanish with English subtitles."

This is what they forgot to say, "Not only is this vampire on the sexy side, he's on the smokin' HOT side! And not only does it have Spanish and English subtitles....it got knock your socks of behind the scenes featurettes and deleted scenes.

Hat's off to all of the other wonderful Latinos that have contributed some amazing work to the horror film genre. Other films on the list are:

Vampiro starring Damian Chapa
Cronos written and directed by Guillermo del Toro
Written and directed by George A. Romero
Produced by Guillermo del Toro

Directed By George Melford
*Authors note - please wee the original article for purchase information about this film. This movie was the very first of it's kind that included Latinos in the cast. This is a piece of  horror film history.

It's a very well done article that does have a section to leave a comment. So let's show Chayanne some love. Log on and read the article and leave a comment.

Alright my people, it's just about the bewitching hour, so until then......Peace

Werewolves, Vampires....and Chayanne!

Well my people, it's that time again...the time when many people are getting ready for all the ghosts, goolies, goblins, Werewolves, and Vampires....so of course I'm going to celebrate the season the only way a Guajira knows how, and that's with a little Chayanne es Gabriel! What else!

It's been two years since, Gabriel was televised and it was released onto DVD just this past spring. But I think that it's only appropriate to do an homage to the hottest, sexiest vampire around.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed Chayanne in this role. I knew that he had acting chops, but he's pumped is up several notches since Dance With Me. I'm not going to try and fill this blog post with too much talk. I just want you to enjoy some of my favorite Chayanne es Gabriel moments. If you want to purchase the DVD it's available on Amazon.com. You can also visit the Chayanne es Gabriel Official Website.

Blanket, check..popcorn, check...Gabriel, CHECK! I'm ready for "Chayloween"
~Muahahahahahahaha! Muahahahahaha!

A New Look at Chayanne Es Gabriel "Behind the Scenes"

No matter what language Chayanne is speaking we love him, but it's so cool when as an English speaking fan, I can get the scoop on anything that's related to Chayanne and it's in English!

When Gabriel debuted last year, there were plenty of behind the scenes sneak peeks and interviews of the incredible cast, but they were all in Spanish. this particular behind the scenes clip has the narration in English!

The clip was posted on both the LFC (Latino Film Chatter) web site as well as the LFC video channel on YouTube! LFC is going to have all the exclusives on Gabriel and it's release, check it out!

What's Next For Chayanne

That's what everyone is wondering, will it be a new CD, more acting, what!
To give all of the very newcomers some history, Chayanne has done quite a
bit of acting actually. He has done several tele-novellas,
which are like mini-series, Volver Empezar, Provocame, and
recently the hit series Gabriel, which aired on MEGA TV. He also
has on his resume an episode of Ally McBeal...if you get the chance to see the episode you should....hot stuff! The best of all of his acting roles in my opinion
would have to be in the film "Dance With Me", where
he co-starred along with Vanessa Williams, who is now on "Ugly Betty".

After the success of Gabriel, many of us fans wondered what
types of acting roles, if any, Chayanne might pursue. I heard
everything from comedy, to of course a romantic leading man....
which yes he would be GREAT at! Personally, I think that he
would be better served to do a crime drama series, like CSI Miami.
If you have seen any of Chayanne's prior work, you will be able to see
the evolution that he has made as an actor, he has truly grown, and
should be considering, inmy opinion a venue like CSI Miami.
He would be awesome as the suave crime scene investigator.

Any way what ever Chayanne does choose as his next project,
this you can be sure of, we will be there with baited breath, waiting.
