Alone With Chayanne.....What comes to your mind?

A Solas Con Chayanne (Alone with Chayanne)…is a phrase that makes me think of so many wonderful things. But the first thing that comes to my mind is love and romance. Chayanne is giving us a very special gift for Valentine's day as he releases his DVD and CD, A Solas Con Chayanne, which will be available on February 7th.

We all know that Chayanne is a synonym of romance. All of his songs tell a tale of that burning love, the one that was, the one that could have been, a pure love, and one that makes us scream with passion and happiness. It's so very difficult to choose one favorite song from Chayanne's infinite collection because each and every one of them drives us absolutely insane. The combination of the melody, his voice, the lyrics, and who can forget the way he adds his very own seal of seduction as he dances and moves his body with total perfection!

Chayanne's music provokes happiness, love, illusion, endearment, intrigue, magic and every single thing related to love. In his songs we find refuge and seek that dosage of inspiration that makes our days unforgettable. During rainy days, Chayanne lifts our spirits and at the same time gets us in a very romantic mood. During the hot days of summer his music energizes us and we celebrate one beautiful season full of sun, the ocean, and total hotness. And in the dead of winter there is absolutely nothing better than snuggling in front of a warm fireplace listening to Chayanne's music as we helplessly float on a cloud of love and seduction. And when our worlds seem to spin out of control and we just can't take it anymore, Chayanne's music gives us the gift of calm, harmony and we know deep in our hearts that everything is going to be just fine.

Here at Pandora's Caja we are having a Chayanne inspired Valentine's poetry contest which starts on January 23rd and ends on February 5th. I invite you to sit back, reminisce and think about how Chayanne's music has touched your life. Maybe it has helped you when you have been down in the dumps, or it has given you energy, or it has simply touched you in a special way. It really doesn't matter in which way Chayanne's music inspires you, what matters is that it does and you can put those sentiments in writing and participate in this special contest. You have nothing to loose because the first place winner will receive the DVD and CD, A Solas Con Chayanne (Alone with Chayanne), second place will receive the DVD and third place will receive the CD. And even if you are not one of the three winners, you are still a winner in Chayanne's heart because his music has inspired you beyond belief and that is the best gift a true fan can ever wish for.

I leave you with these words, get inspired my friends, let Chayanne take care of your soul, feel your hearts beat to the "Boom Boom” of his music, let him provoke you, feel as if you are tied to his love, leave everything behind for him, and remember you cannot live a century without your pirate.

And I will keep dreaming of a beautiful night on the beach with a full moon where Chayanne sings "Candela" in my ear! Dreaming doesn't cost anything, right girls?

Amorcito Corazón Available NOW at Amazon.com

Today, our dear Chayanne sent out a tweet that totally made my day!! The song that we have all been waiting for, "Amorcito Corazón", is out and you can purchase the mp3 in Amazon.com. Needless to say I already purchased it and it's in my ipod for my listening pleasure.

Let me tell you a little bit more about this beautiful song. This Mexican song was written by Pedro de Urdimalas (lyrics) and Manuel Esperon (music). It was originally used for a film named "Nosotros Los Pobres" (We the Poor)and it was performed by the legendary Pedro Infante and the beautiful Blanca Estela Pavon back the 1940's. "Amorcito Corazón" is one of the most recognizable songs of Mexican cinema, especially in the so-called golden age. The scene in the woodwork when Pedro Infante singing "Amorcito Corazón" has been parodied countless times in films and Mexican television.

Let's travel back in time together and watch this famous scene with the talented Pedro Infante singing "Amorcito Corazón".

Today, 70 years later, it is Chayanne's turn to sing this beautiful song and after listening to it I know Chayanne has made the writers and Pedro Infante very proud. Every song that Chayanne sings just flows in a way that you can't help but to stop everything you are doing and listen because his voice is mesmerizing.

Now all that's left to make me totally happy is that the soap opera is aired in the U.S as well, not because I am interested in watching it, but because I would tune in just to listen to Chayanne singing the theme song every single day!

And now all that's left for you to do is go to Amazon.com and purchase this great song which will melt your heart everytime you listen to it.

My birthday present from Chayanne - the best present in the world!

Yesterday while at work, I got a message on my cell phone and when I read it I got super happy. Chayanne had come to visit us on Twitter. It's been a while since he drops by and his visits are very special to me. Whenever Chayanne signs on to Twitter he causes a revolution among his fans. From experience I can tell you that my fingers never move so fast on the keyboard as when Chayanne logs in and I start sending him tweets.

His visits are always brief so you really have to type very quickly, send him a bunch of messages, and then cross your fingers and hope that he replies. On this occasion Chayanne posted a gorgeous picture of himself with the most amazing view of the beach in the background. He looked like a fallen angel from heaven ... perfection of a man in all aspects. I immediately saved the picture and thought of it as an early birthday present from Chayanne...I even put it as the background picture on my phone.

Today, as I was leaving my office for lunch another message came in to my phone. I could not believe my eyes, once again it was Chayanne who had logged into Twitter. I quickly forgot about lunch, returned to my desk and this time I was on a mission. Since my birthday is coming up all I really wanted was for Chayanne to send me birthday hug as this would be the best present ever! After all, nothing is impossible right?

I sent him six or seven messages and my fingers began to ache from typing so fast. About 5 minutes later I received a reply from Chayanne!!! He said" Happy Birthday, a hug". I let out a loud scream and my co-worker thought there was something wrong with me. I told her that Chayanne had sent me a Happy Birthday tweet and she began to laugh. Maybe for many people who are not fans of Chayanne this simple message does not mean much, but to me it means the world and then some! First of all we know how busy he is and how many thousands of tweets he receives daily on his Twitter page, so to have mine answered was a dream come true. Last year I got very lucky too and he wished me a happy birthday during a chat that he had.

I'm super happy with my message from Chayanne, and although he really doesnt't know who I am personally, I'm sure that I am someone special to him because I'm his fan. And you all know how much he loves us his fans and how he wholeheartedly appreciates our support. He always finds the time to send us a sweet message and has many nice gestures towards us. I can tell you my friends, I am proud to be his fan and always will be until the day we're both using us a cane.

I want to thank all my friends from Twitter for congratulating me on receiving my birthday message from our Chayanne. Thank you Fabi, Daniela, Hydra, Gabriela, Carlita, Gavriii, Rosa, Angelica, Raquel, Mariana, Carla, Luisa, Alma, Lucimar and Fernanda. You have always supported me and for that I thank you and I love you! I am very happy to have so many beautiful friends in Twitter, which are so nice and most importantly honest and genuine. Chayanne has created a beautiful family between us and for than I love him even more.

And finally I want to congratulate all the lucky fans from Twitter who at some point have received a reply or a message from our gorgeous Chayanne. And to those of you who are anxiously waiting the day Chayanne replies to your tweet, please don't lose hope! Our motto as Chayanne fans is "Nothing is Impossible" and one day when you least expect it you will receive this message which will make you feel like you are floating on a cloud....a Chay cloud that is!

I leave you with this very true saying "It is better to travel filled with hope than to arrive."

Happy Birthday Chayanne - Feliz Cumpleaños Chayanne!

On June 28, 1968, a star was born. Elmer Figueroa Arce took his first breath and I am sure that when he cried it sounded like a beautiful melody. From a very young age, his mom began to call him Chayanne and this name has stayed with him throughout his life and it has become a name that we all know and love. Today, 43 years later, Chayanne is celebrating another amazing year of life and as one of his biggest fans I have to celebrate. Chayanne, on your birthday I celebrate your life, your career, your achievements, and above all the incredible human being that you are. Chayanne, you are a person that truly believes that there is no happiness in having or getting, but only in giving. I had the pleasure of meeting you this past year and for this experience I am a better and much happier person. I don't think you really know how much you mean to us and how you inspire each and every one of your fans daily. Today on your birthday I want to thank you for being the positive person that you are and for always giving your fans the very best of you. Have an amazing day with your family and I hope you enjoy each and every minute of your birthday!

Thank you for existing and thank you for teaching me that nothing is impossible. I hope you enjoy this video that I made especially for you!

Lots of Love,

Candela

No Hay Imposibles - The Tour That Forever Changed Us!

They say all "good" things always come to an end but when we talk about Chayanne’s NHI tour I have to say that "good" doesn't even come close in describing this spectacular tour, "incredible" is more like it! Let me take you back to the very beginning, let’s reminisce and relive this past year through the eyes of all the Chayanne’s fans throughout the world.
February 23, 2010, a date that every Chayanne fan remembers as the day we all started to look at life a little bit different, perhaps more positive and with a new attitude. Chayanne released his album “No Hay Imposibles” on this day and since then life as we know it has never been the same. These words gave us a new lease on life; I can almost say that it became our motto. Did you ever stop and think how these three simple words can change so many lives and inspire so many people? Well I did and this past year I have seen the true meaning of living life to its fullest and seeing things in a different light. I remember hearing people talk about changing their lives, not giving up, and trying their best because if you give it all you’ve got then you will see that in reality nothing is impossible.
Then in May we feasted our eyes and watched the premier of one the videos from this new album that promised to be fun, sexy, and very sensual. Tu Boca was filled with Latin flavor and showed off Chayanne’s amazing dancing abilities. Accompanied by two beautiful dancers, Ferly and Victoria, this video left us wanting more, more dancing, more rhythm, more songs, more Chayanne. And just when we thought we couldn’t take it anymore the “No Hay Imposibles Tour” dates were announced and the show hit the road on May 13, 2010 in Los Angeles. This amazing tour began full of energy, fireworks, and amazing music and dancing.

The tour had begun, we purchased our tickets, and now we just had to be patient and wait until Chayanne came to our town. But in the meantime we would live vicariously through all the other fans that went to his concert before us. This is where the social networks come into play and I am so very thankful that we have them. As you all know Chayanne’s fans are truly the best fans in the entire universe, and I am not just saying that because I am one of them. I truly mean it when I say that all of the Chayanne fans that I have gotten to know are the most beautiful, respectful, talented, interesting and lovely people that you will find online. It’s like we are all a big family and our number one priority is to love, respect, and honor Chayanne. And that my friends comes very easy to all of us because the love, respect, and honor that we give Chayanne, we always receive it back from him unconditionally. One thing that sets Chayanne apart from other artists is the love for his fans, his eagerness to put a smile on our faces and to give himself fully and like he always says “wearing his heart on his sleeve”.

So, I purchased my front row ticket for the June 24th show at Madison Square Garden. I was counting the days and could not wait to finally see Chayanne perform all the new songs that I already knew by heart. The day finally came and me and my three friends headed from New Jersey to New York City to be swept off our feet by the one and only “Chayanne”. Since this concert took place 4 days before his birthday, I made him a beautiful “Happy Birthday” banner which by the way he loved! It was an incredible night and I just could not believe my eyes when I saw this perfect man a couple of feet away from me doing what he does best….singing and dancing and leaving his heart and soul on stage. I was so close that in many occasions we felt his sweat sprinkle us, and of course we did not mind…are you kidding? I know that I won’t be the first in saying this, but Chayanne has a way of connecting with each and every one of his fans. He takes the time to look at his fans in the eyes and for that mere second you forget where you are, and all that matters is that connection that you have made with this amazing soul – words cannot describe this incredible feeling – you must experience it for yourself.

Chayanne sang many of his new songs and of course all of our all-time favorites, my personal favorite is “Cuidarte El Alma”. There is something about this song that touches my heart in a very special way. No one got to dance “Tiempo de Vals” with him that night but many of us in the audience closed our eyes and imagined ourselves dancing that beautiful song in his arms. Before I knew it, the concert was over and I was left wanting more….do you blame me? I couldn’t believe that I had waited for this night for so long and it was over so quickly. I went home that night inspired, happy, and full of wonderful moments that will forever live in my memory.

Here is a video that I took that memorable night! Enjoy!

Here is another video where you can see my friends and I in the front row and at 1:34Chayanne sees our birthday banner and points at us with a big smile on his face! He loves the right side of the stage for some reason*wink*

Chayanne went on to visit many other cities and countries such as Chicago, Boston, Venezuela, Mexico, Chile, Spain, and Argentina. We all watched the hundreds of videos uploaded by fans in YouTube and the endless pictures that each one of us took while at the concerts. Then it happened, one night, very late as I was checking my email something told me to visit Chayanne’s website and then I saw it!!!! Chayanne was coming to Atlantic City, New Jersey and at that instant I knew that I was going to be there and that this time I was going to meet him in person. How did I know that because “No Hay Imposibles”. So as soon as the tickets went on sale I bought mine, this time I was on the third row, center stage…not too bad right? I immediately started to do my research about a possible meet and greet and I was told that he might have one but that the members of the fan club would be notified the day of the show. As you can just imagine I was a total wreck until that day, November 26, 2010, when I received my email with instructions to go backstage and meet CHAYANNE!!!

The day arrived and again my same good friends came with me to Atlantic City, but this time they would stay behind as I went back stage to meet our knight in shining armor. We received bracelets, had to make a line, and then it happened we all walked backstage and into this tiny room where Chayanne was waiting for us. They had us go in two by two and needless to say I was so anxious that I ended up being one of the first two people to go in. I watched the girl that went before him as she hugged and and kissed him and before I could blink it was my turn. I could play this moment in my mind in slow motion over and over and I swear to you that to this date I don’t really remember everything that I said to him.

I approached him, gave him a tight hug, felt his abs ;-), and gave him a kiss. I told him that he was amazing and that I loved him and blank, blank, blank...cantt remember the rest. He is very tall but very cuddly I must say! He put his arm around my waist and they took our picture. I then gave him a gift, kissed, hugged, and smelled him again (yes he does smell very fresh and clean) and was told to please leave because there were other people waiting. My two minutes of glory were over but I was a new woman, I had met the man that I so adore, the one who I had grown watching and admiring, and the one that taught me that nothing is impossible in life. That night I also had the pleasure of meeting Nancy O’Meara, the very beautiful and talented choreographer. Nancy is an amazing woman who has a heart of gold and after meeting her I now understand why Chayanne and her have been working together for so long – they are both very humble and incredible people!

He then went back to Mexico, Chile and who can forget him in Viña del Mar where he won every possible trophy there was! He rocked the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Peru, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, and went back to Mexico to finish up his tour (those lucky Mexican fans)!

And here we are, NHI is over and we are left with many different emotions. Some fans feel sad and will miss hearing about his performances, looking at the pictures and videos online. And others, including myself, feel very happy because he has finished strong and he gave his all in each and every performance. He made every one of his fans smile, even those who didn’t go to his concerts. We all have our very special memory, and memories are a way of holding onto things that we love, the things that make us who we are, the things we never want to lose or forget. Now we must look forward to the many wonderful things to come. And knowing Chayanne, he will be back at work in no time and before we know it we will be listening to his new album and waiting to hear when his next tour begins and when he will be coming to visit our town again. To my fellow Chayanne fans please remember that memories may fade away as the years go by, but they won’t age a day, so keep your memories alive and they will keep you young. And to you my beloved Chayanne, I must tell you that you taught me how to imagine, how to dream, and how to put my plan into action. Thank you for leaving me with wonderful memories and with your footprints on my heart. No Hay Imposibles and below is my proof!

Chayanne and Yuri, an ever-lasting friendship!

This incredible interview by Francisca García Huidobro with Yuri and Chayanne showed the love, the chemistry, and the great friendship these two artists have even though they worked together 17 years ago in a soap opera named “Volver a Empezar” (To begin again). Yuri opened the interview by saying this about Chayanne “Chayanne is the most delicious Puertorrican from all Latin America! Besides the soap opera, Yuri and Chayanne have performed together many times and have also done telethons to raise money for many different causes. They both have a huge heart and they share a great sense of humor which keeps their friendship very much alive. Chayanne said that Yuri looked “Divine” and that he misses not having her in Puerto Rico. Chayanne continues the interview by expressing great gratitude to Puerto Rico for treating him a like a king while he was there. He always speaks very highly of his beloved country and this land that saw him grow up can’t be any more proud of him.

The first time that Chayanne participated in Viña Del Mar was in 1987, a year where Fiesta En America, was taking the world by storm! Chayanne expresses that Viña Del Mar is a very important venue for him, as it is seen worldwide, and it has launched so many talented new artists. “I always get nervous when I perform here, and I hope that I never get eaten by the Viña monster”. Yuri then replied “No, don’t worry, the ladies might want to eat you, but not the Viña monster!

Then Chayanne got a big surprise from one of his many fan clubs around the world. This fan club named “El Conquistador” made up of a group of die hard Chay fans, have been sleeping in a car just to get a glimpse of his during this interview, and told Fran, the hostess that all they wanted was to give Chayanne a small gift as a token of their love. El Conquistador is known as the biggest and strongest Chayanne fan club in Chile. This is what Chayanne had to say to his Chilean fans: “My relationship with my fans is beautiful, it’s like a family, we have complicity, I feel so much love, when they look at me, smile, tell me sweet words…and I live for this. I am where I am today because of them, and this fan club has existed for 22 years and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their support.”

He was then asked what the difference was between the fans from Chile and the fans from other countries. He said that Chile has beautiful people who have always given him so much love. He loves the country, their food, their heritage and he feels like he started his career here in Viña del Mar and he is very thankful for all the support. They then started talking about all the different food and dishes from Chile and one in particular stood out. There is a dish called “Herizos” that is supposed to have an aphrodisiac effect so they asked Chayanne what happens to him and what doe s he do after eating this dish, which he claims is his favorite. With a huge smile on his face and with that bitty look in his eyes he said : “I go to the gym and I burn the energy running, and this is how I cope with it “.

Chayanne also expressed how much he would love to do a soap opera in Chile one day. He says that he has seen segments of Chilean soap operas and they are very well done. I haven’t had the opportunity but when the chance comes up and the time is available he will do it.

Fran also asked Chayanne if he has a preference between singing ballads or the more upbeat, fast paced music. He of course said that he enjoys both, ballads because you sing about love, relationships, and emotions, and the rhythmic music because there is so much energy behind it and he gets to dance which is one of his passions.
The next question was “How many seagulls and torches have you received throughout the years at Viña del Mar? Chayanne didn’t know the exact number off the top of his head, but there have been many over the years and he keeps some at home and some in his office. He has a special place for each one of them and he holds them very close to his heart because they come from the people and he will never take this honor for granted.

Chayanne always says that life is all about balance and he applies this to his personal as well as his professional life. Fran also touched upon this subject during the interview and he said that there is not a pattern that you can follow, you have to live day by day and always take care of your loved ones, keep them happy, surprise them, love them. Yuri tells him how much she and the rest of us admire the way that he protects his family and keeps them out of the public eye. She can relate to him because it is very hard to be happily married and have a normal life when you are a star. Chayanne said: “At home I am married to my wife, but here I am married to my fans, I have a lot of love to go around.”
Fran then asked Marcela Vazarezza, who has been very upset at her husband Rafael Araneda, host of Viña del Mar for kissing co-hostess Eva Gomez on the lips. So it was decided that the only fair thing for Marcela to do was kiss Chayanne in order to get even. But we know how respectful our Chayanne is and he simple took her in his arms, twirled her around, and like the gentleman that he is, he softly kissed her hand. Then the segment ended with Yuri putting on a pair of heart shaped glasses because she says that we all look at Chayanne with loving eyes, and then they all sang “Completamente Enamorados”.

The following question was: “If Chayanne was single, which song yours or from another artist, would you use to win a woman’s heart, what would you sing in her ear?” Chayanne said he would sing “Si Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo” because it talks about nurturing and caring for a relationship or “Yo Te Amo” because it expresses the many ways of saying I love you to a person.

Then Fran asked Chayanne whether he and Yuri were ever in a romantic relationship because they had so much chemistry while doing the soap opera. They both said no and that they were just friends and Yuri said “No, I have never left my shoes under his bed, if you know what I mean.” They also spoke about kissing during the soap opera and how lucky Yuri was to kiss Chayanne. This became a big joke and they were trying to convince the audience how their lips never really touched because they would place a little piece of plastic on their lips before each kiss. Of course the audience didn’t buy it and they had to come clean and admit that indeed there were many, many passionate kisses during the soap opera. They said that it was very nice to act together and the fact that they were friends made it so much easier. Chayanne added that the reason why he doesn’t do many soap operas is because you really need to dedicate many months and be away from your family. He always makes sure that the role is one that he can truly fulfill, and that I can give his all.

Then Fran pointed to a very big torch, similar to the award that artists receive at Viña Del Mar, which was placed at the edge of the stage. They call it the “Calentometro” which simply means that it measures heat and measure the temperature of the people in the set. Then Yuri, Chayanne, and Fran proceed to the device and as they grabbed it the temperature went higher and higher and of course it reached the top. It was obvious ladies because if any us were next to Chayanne our temperature would go through the roof…am I right?
The interview ended and Fran thanked Chayanne for being there on that day and wishing him all the luck in the world. Chayanne then thanked Fran and Chile for their support, told Yuri that he loved her very much, and that he hoped to live up to everyone’s expectations in Viña Del Mar…and boy did he ever! Chayanne was the hit of the night and took home every possible award!
This was a very entertaining interview in which Chayanne once again shows us that flirty, loving, and human side of him. Yuri is also an amazing singer and actress and together they spark a very intense chemistry which is based on true friendship, one that has lasted so many years and I am sure will be one to last a lifetime.

Peace and Love ;_) Candela

A Highway Named "Chayanne"

The people of Chayanne’s native town, San Lorenzo, are joyously celebrating the official name change of Expressway 203. Over the last years, the people of this town have named this highway Chayanne Expressway in honor of their loved artist. This highway which connects Gurabo, Puerto Rico at PR-30 with its parallel route Puerto Rico Highway 183 in San Lorenzo. It is the main route to San Lorenzo and is about 7 kilometers long. It is a dangerous highway, as steep grading is present going down and then going up. The House of Representatives has passed the bill and it is now up to the Senate to approve this into law so that the governor, Luis Fortuño, can make it official. San Lorenzo’s government and citizens feel very strongly about this change and they state that Chayanne’s long career and personal character is a true example of value and pride. Chayanne has become an icon and upholds Puerto Rico’s name on every stage where he has ever performed. With all this said, I am sure that the Senate will also approve this change and the dream of the people from San Lorenzo will soon come true.

Con todo esto dicho, estoy segura de que el Senado también aprobará este cambio y el sueño de la gente de San Lorenzo, pronto se hará realidad.

Chayanne's Very First Interview in Puerto Rico!

We all know that Chayanne is in Puerto Rico right now and that he is thrilled to be in his country and also a bit anxious about his performances on February 11th, 12th, and 13th. He has been eagerly awaiting this moment and in just a couple of days his fans will be able to enjoy his concert and live a moment they will never, ever forget. The news about Chayanne landing in Puerto Rico spread like wildfire yesterday and tons of articles and videos were popping up all over the internet. One of the videos that caught my attention is the one below. It is a video that the cameras of “El Nuevo Dia” were able to capture the very moment that Chayanne landed. Take a look and I will tell you more about it in a bit.

This reporter was able to go inside Chayanne’s private plane (what a lucky woman) and even though he was a little surprised with her visit he was very excited to be able to greet his fans that were watching live as he landed on the island. Chayanne said "I am very happy, I am so excited to be in my country and I want to say hello to all my fans here on the island”. The reporter then asked him what Puerto Rico smells like to him, does it have a distinct scent? Our provocative Chayanne said “Right now Puerto Rico smells like “Dulce”, which happens to be the reporter’s name who couldn’t help but laugh at his alluring comment. He commented, “Puerto Rico smells like family, like friends, like the “coqui”, like the great people that have put me where I am today”. One thing I love about Chayanne is that he is always thankful to his fans and his people; in each and every interview first and foremost he thanks his fans and sends them his love. During this interview, he stressed the fact that without his fans he would not be the superstar that he is today. Chayanne, you have earned a very special place in your fans’ hearts, a place that will always be yours for all eternity.

Chayanne also talked about the changes that he is making to his shows in Puerto Rico. He feels that everything has to be bigger and better because this is his home and he feels a sense of loyalty to his friends on the island as these were the people that first supported him when he began his career 32 years ago. He will be paying tribute to Puerto Rico’s music and promises many other surprises for these shows.

The reporter also asked him which country did he have the most fun performing at and Chayanne said “I enjoy each and every one of my concerts no matter where they are, but I must confess that I receive a lot of love from my fans in all of Latin America”.

Our gorgeous heartthrob also commented that he is very nervous about the three performances in Puerto Rico because his friends and family will be there watching. He says that you really don’t know how things will go until you are finally performing and anything can happen, so he only hopes for the best and that he will do his homeland proud. Chayanne, I have no doubt in my mind that you will give them three amazing performances and that the people from Puerto Rico will be extremely proud of you.

A cute question that he was asked at the end of the interview was “How will you break your heart into tiny little pieces and give one to each and every person that comes see your shows, do you have a big enough heart to go around? Come on, how can you ask if Chayanne has a big heart, it is so obvious that his heart is as big as the universe, don’t you think? Well he humbly answered “I have a HUGE heart!

CHAYANNE COMES HOME TO HIS ISLAND PUERTO RICO!

Take a look at his face, doesn't he look ecstatic? Chayanne has been looking forward to returning to Puerto Rico to give his very best in a concert that promises to be out of this world. He is feeling the pressure of performing in front of his family and close friends, but we all know he has nothing to worry about. Puerto Rico will once again feel the rhythm, passion, and flavor that only Chayanne can deliver! All that's left to say is "Chay Rock The Island as only you CAN"

Today at 11:23 a.m. Chayanne’s private plane landed in Puerto Rico where he will be giving a series of concerts this weekend. With a big smile on his face, the idol from San Lorenzo, greeted reporters who gathered at Isla Grande Airport. Chayanne will offer three concerts as part of his No Hay Imposibles tour, which will take place at the Coliseum of Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on February 11th, 12th, and 13th.

It is the first time that the interpreter of hit songs such as “Tu Pirata Soy Yo” (I’m Your Pirate), “Salomé” and “Ahora Tu“(And Now You) performs in this venue.
The artist said that the concerts in Puerto Rico will be different from the others from his international tour “No Hay Imposibles”.

Chayanne is conscious that there are no secrets between family and the requirements are much greater. “I am happy to be here; pleased with the all the people who know me. I am very comfortable but nervous at the same time because I want everything to come out just right”, expressed the artist who arrived to his country at around mid day.

Dressed in black and white and with his peculiar friendliness, the 42-year-old singer anticipated that the version of the concert that will be presented this weekend in the Coliseum of Puerto Rico, will be greatly scaled.

“Because I am from here I always want to give more”, he said. Also mentioned was the fact that Chayanne was trying to increase the technical teams, lights, giant screens, as well as inviting musicians.

He will also pay tribute to Rafael Hernández with several songs that he preferred to keep reserved. Acting like the rascal that he is, Chayanne sent a message to his fans “don’t be shy, sing, dance, get up on the chairs, and even ask the person sitting next to you to dance”.

The Stroke of His Life

This is a very interesting article about Chayanne and how he compares his life to a game of golf. He uses very clever comparisons and at the same time we learn so much about his artistic and personal life. Chayanne is a very disciplined person who always gives the best of himself not only to his family but also to us, his eternal fans! Enjoy!

To cover 18 holes of a golf course turns out to be the analogy that perfectly sums up life of the Puerto Rican singer Chayanne. Balance, strength, strategy and control are the elements that he applies to the sport, his career and life.
Thus he claims to assure us to have achieved several “holes in one”.
At his 42 years of age, his perfect moves have been his children 13-year-old Lorenzo, and 10-year-old Isadora; to obtain the excessive delivery of his public for the 32 years of his musical career; and the satisfaction of having with him two responsible people encouraging the values of humility, generosity and authenticity that distinguishes him as a human being, his parents Quintino "Tito" Figueroa and Irma Luz Arce.
For the vocalist, his family and his career are the inspiration to repeat this “putt" stroke for endless hours in the "green". And in the game of the life, his efforts are directed to seeking happiness.
Who does this artist with the most contagious and honest smile play against? Against himself!
And the fact is that both in the field of golf and on stage, Chayanne faces the challenges that bring on a heap of emotion, feelings and experiences, like he has faced during his world tour, “No Hay Imposibles“ which started last year and has already covered more than ten countries. This weekend the appointment is in his homeland, with three functions in the Coliseum José Miguel Agrelot in Hato Rey.
“Golf is a way of life ... the way you overcome a bad situation or a bad blow, how you control it. Golf is a primer for life. It relaxes you and simultaneously you are at war with yourself. You have to be better than yesterday and your last game”, stated the singer in an exclusive interview with El Nuevo Dia from his office in the “City of the Sun”.
“The challenge is to keep improving, in your life, to give a better show, better albums, be a better human being, father, husband, son, and friend. It requires balance, strength, strategy, control, and passion from oneself. It is a sport that you approach just like your career”, added Chayanne, who this weekend comes face to face with his presentations in his country.
He also stated that his success always depends on his state of mind.
“Once you enter this field you venture into another world. There is a lake in a certain place, you might also find an abyss with the sea at a distance, and you see another hole in the rocky mountains and the sun setting between the orange rocks and it reflects a light with a copper hue. It is not a question of game only”, he told us with his voice filled with enthusiasm as he confessed that he can spend hours talking about golf as it is one of his “passions”.
Similar to what he experiences in the field of this game are the emotions that he receives from his audience. These emotions are the ones who give life to the show.
“You can present yourself on the same stage and every mood is different. I have enjoyed theaters filled with 2000 people, coliseums with 15 to 20 thousand people, or stadiums with more than 80 thousand, I do not discard any of these scenarios because they each hold a very special and different satisfaction,” he said.
It is for this reason, that to set foot for the first time on the Coliseum’s stage in Puerto Rico fills him with anxiety, since it is there “where my parents, friends, and the public that propelled my career will be. I am super happy. We have begun with the right foot and what better place to be for Valentine’s Day weekend than in my homeland”.

He explained that the concert in the island has very different elements, such as a new choreography, a new song, and other surprises that may elapse between each presentation.
The voice behind “Y Tu Te Vas” spoke about why he doesn’t integrate other artists in his concerts. He said that he would love to someday do it, but he does not like to force things or situations. It hasn’t happened to date and when it does it should be something that comes naturally.
One of the names that first come to mind is the singer/songwriter Juan Luis Guerra. This desire has been on his mind since he heard the song “Ojala Que Llueva Café” (I wish it would rain coffee) two years ago in Venezuela and he said to himself “I want to record that song”. Juan Luis Guerra is an incredible success and this is a song that has moved many hearts.
Another person whom he professes great admiration for is to the maestro Ángel "Cucco" Peña. “The arrangements that he prepares are amazing. He is one of the greats”, he added.
Free of Scandals
Between laughs and smirks, the vocalist who makes women absolutely crazy with his suggestive choreographies, revealed that his formula to stay away from scandals is simple: “They do not know the things that I do. My formula is not to say it”, the artist joked, provoking the goof offs of his two brothers Elliot and Emanoel, who were observing him from one of the corners of his office.
In a more serious tone, he clarified that the key is “to try to maintain control, know what you can gain and lose from it. There is so much work that you have no time and it does not allow for you to do bad things”, he explained as they all exploded into laughter.
On the worries that he experiences as the father to Lorenzo and Isadora he said that they are the same as any other parent.
“I have many worries, but the task begins since the day they are born.” Giving them knowledge, which will be their self defense when they are alone. You teach a child to put a napkin on their lap when they are sitting at a table and the day that mom and dad are not there they will remember what you taught them and they will do it by themselves ”, mentioned the singer, who visits his family on the Island every Christmas.
He also added that his children have already shown artistic inclinations and no matter which career they choose they will always have his support.
“I will support every decision that they make and they will have my unconditional support. I will always be honest according to what I see”, added the singer, who in turn pointed out that his children have always understood his work.
He also acknowledged that the values that his parents instilled in him are the ones that he has taught his children. “I have taught them everything my parents taught me. Study first, respect and protect themselves, and always look out for themselves”, he concluded.

~Translation by Candela

His concert will be at the Monumental Stadium in Peru in which he will promote his new songs as well as his greatest hits.

The Puertorrican singer, Chayanne, is returning to Peru after 7 years of absence and will offer a concert at the Monumental Stadium, on the east side of Lima.  We were just informed today that the concert will take place on April 14, 2010.

El Comercio published that Elmer Figueroa Arce, better known as Chayanne, returns to Peru not only to promote his new CD but also to delight his fans with all of his greatest hits, songs that he hasn’t performed in this country in a very long time.

The organizers of this event have confirmed that Chayanne will sing “Salome”,  “Provocame”, “Torero”, “Y Tu Te Vas”, and  ‘Enamorado” just to name a few.

Chayanne started his worldwide tour, No Hay Imposibles, last year in which he demonstrates a great production with “Energy and wearing his heart on his sleeve”.

“With this new CD I want to transmit a positive, transparent message…this is the slogan of my life since I started...to face life with happiness, always looking at the future and to fight for what one loves” said the artist about his new CD.

On another note, the businessman, Jorge Fernandez, also declared that they are negotiating Ricky Martin’s performance in this same country.  Ricky will begin his World tour “Musica + Alma + Sexo on March 25, 2011 in Puerto Rico.  As of right now, Ricky Martin’s representatives are negotiating the appearance with Peruvian promoters.
