Chayanne In Concert With Exclusive Interview! Just When We Thought It was Over!

In for what was for some of us the wee hours of the morning, we got to see "King Papacito" himself in an exclusive interview. This was one of the most in depth interviews that I've seen Chayanne give in a very long time. The backdrop for the interview was a pre-show rehearsal and concert in Mexico. the interview was sponsored by Mexico Suena.

The way that the interview was executed was so charming. They cut back and forth between interview segments with Chayanne, to behind the scenes rehearsals, to the concert itself.  We also had the opportunity to hear from the always lovely longtime friend and choreographer to Chayanne, Nancy O'Meara, the beautiful and talented Ferly Prado, and the uber talented and handsome Marcus Mitchell.

Chayanne's fans never cease to amaze me. The word had been going out for days prior to the interview, and last night FB and Twitter were teaming with fans passing around links to various websites that were streaming the interview on line for those of us that weren't able to watch it on television.

What was the best part of the interview for me? Well, everyone know that I'm language challenged, so I have no clue what was said during the interview. The best part for me is watching how Chayanne interacts with the audience. Every performance is unique, he finds those moments to give that something special just to THAT audience. This means that no matter how many time you may see Chayanne perform the same set of songs, you NEVER see the same performance twice.

I want to thank Mexicanos Mexico' Channel for posting the entire interview on You Tube. So in case you missed it......pour yourself a nice hot cup of coffee and get settled into your favorite chair and be enjoy!

According to www.periodicositensis.com.mx, in a press release by JL Entertainment, a company that makes possible the introduction of Elmer Figueroa, the singer's real name, confirmed the concert will take place on the esplanade of Complex Cultural Universitario (CCU) on Saturday May 28 at 8:00pm. " After offering his usual success and this new production in countries like Spain, USA, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela and Costa Rica, the Puerto Rican will return to Mexico for a series of twelve concerts, four of which will be held at the Auditorio Nacional and eight more in various cities of Mexico, including Puebla which is the capital, "explained Jordan Lucero, broadcast and media manager of JL Productions.

The proceeds from this specific concert, organizers announced through a press release, "will be specifically for the dental health of poor children of the state." Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster and will soon we will have more information about the logistics of the show, organized by Tonic Life Foundation, which belongs to the natural supplement company Tonic Life.

As of right now, Chayanne is scheduled to finish his “No Hay Imposibles” tour on June 17th at the dome in San Luis Potosi in Mexico. No word right now on whether he will add more cities or countries to his tour but you just never know. Chayanne and his team are full of energy and they never cease to amaze and surprise us. I, for one, would love nothing more than to have him back in New York, wishful thinking on my part, but like Chayanne says “Nothing is Impossible”.

Peace and love ;-) Candela

Chayanne's Gift From The Heart

"Mi gente linda..un pequeño recuerdo de mi concierto de anoche en el DF...las quiero!"
"My beautiful people .. a little souvenir of my concert last night in Mexico City ... I love them! "

"Me voy de Mexico y voy feliz después de haber hecho 6 sold-outs en el Auditorio del DF...ahora me preparo para ir a mi Isla pronto..un beso"
"I am leaving Mexico, and I'm happy after having 6 sold-outs in the Auditorium of the City....now I'm ready to go to my island soon...a kiss"

The last show in Mexico is over...the seats are now empty and the concert hall has been cleaned and is in pristine condition as it waits for the next occupant to arrive and for their fans to populate the seats....but no doubt that it will never be the same....for if you stand in the silence, close your eyes and listen not with your ears, but with your  heart, you will still be able to hear the sounds of Chayanne giving love to his fans in the way that only he knows how...and you can hear the echos of the love that they gave in return. You can also still feel the kind of electric energy that makes the hairs on your forearms tingle.

As a final gesture to the people of Mexico Chayanne sent a picture of himself from the last concert.
But alas, the show must move on. So their off to Puerto Rico! Se here's wishing Chayanne and his entire crew safe travels! See you in Puerto Rico!!

"Tonight You Command And I Obey", Chayanne Casts Special Spell

You should hear the collective screaming of the women in the audience when Chayanne speaks these words. If you've been to one of his concerts you know exactly what I'm talking about. He's giving all of his fans the permission to have their way with him. So you would think that he would be the one affected by this "arrangement" so to speak, but actually it works in the reverse. As soon as these words are spoken after the screaming....the women turn into a collective mass of clay, ready to be formed and shaped not by Chayanne's hands, but by the caress of his voice and the sexy smoke in his eyes, into a loving masterpiece of sheer pandemonium.

Please enjoy this article translation by Candela that speaks to this exciting phenomena!

"Chayanne Was Full Of Energy, Dance and Sensuality In The Auditorium
Mexico - Energy, dancing, sensuality and music by Puerto Rican singer Chayanne was everywhere during his first concert of the year in Mexico as part of his tour "No Hay Imposibles", which took place at the National Auditorium which was overwhelmingly crowded.
For the show, the scene is arranged with a platform on which some of his musicians and singers were situated, and they placed a ladder in the middle of the structure which led to a small ramp.  In addition, four male dancers and two female dancers did various choreographies alongside the singer.
For almost two hours Chayanne, who had five wardrobe changes, was accommodating to his audience, composed mostly of women of all ages, and little girls who also enjoyed the presentation.
"Provócame" was the first song of the night and people began to get up from their seats and started to dance, while Chayanne, wearing black pants, a gray shirt and a dark jacket, continued to greet his followers.  Subsequently, the Puerto Rican sang "Lola" and welcomed the Mexican public to his show.
"I want to welcome you, give you my heartfelt thanks for being with us tonight, this is my first show in 2011, so you are my sponsors, I am doing it with enthusiasm and with love for all of you, tonight you command and I obey, "said the singer.
The concert continued with "Un Siglo Sin Ti" which was chanted by fans who were eager to throw some underwear on stage.
"I dedicate this song so you can once again celebrate your reunion with love" and thus gave way to "Si No Estas," a song from his new album "No Hay Imposibles."
Chayanne was accompanied by eight musicians and two singers, who have been with him at every performance throughout this tour.   "One does not do things alone, one needs a team, and I am always thankful and very grateful to them," said the singer, who also showed his gratitude to the Mexican technicians.
After a change of clothes, the artist wore a blue shirt, and followed with the ballad "Cuidarte el Alma" and "Tu Boca”.  Then, to spice things up, he changed to a tropical pace and sang "Palo Bonito" and "Fiesta en America." Then he sang “Atado a Tu Amor” and "Candela."
Chayanne changed clothes once again, this time he wore a black shirt, and then sang ‘Tu Pirata Soy Yo”, ‘Completamente Enamorados”, and “Baila, Baila."
The Puerto Rican, who never stopped smiling, was very attentive to his fans; he waved and even kissed their hands when they approached the stage.
"This song talks about how you should not take for granted the great love you have for your mom, dad, brother, sister, neighbor, whoever, we have to water our garden so that our flowers don’t die," said the singer and then sang "SI Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo” and “Mi Credo.”

Chayanne’s concert closed with "Salome", but his audience wanted more so a very casually dressed Chayanne, now wearing jeans, returned to the stage and sang ‘Besos En La Boca.”
For one of his most famous songs, "Tiempo de Vals", Chayanne invited someone from the audience to dance with him and she was lucky enough to stay with him to almost the end of the song.
"My mother always told me to always think of Mexico as a loved and beautiful country, and you are all very special to me," said the singer, who took ended the night with "Torero".
In addition to this presentation, the Puerto Rican will also perform this Saturday and also the 25th, 26th, 28th and 29th of January at the National Auditorium."

Chayanne's "NHI"Tour Mexico Premier Interview

This is a very nice interview that was done with Chayanne prior to the first performance of the NHI tour in Mexico. .....January 21, 2011....I'm still smiling!

~Peace

"One step, another step, checking on the band, the dancers, the lights, the sound, you are watching Chayanne in an exclusive video of Chayanne during rehearsals supervising every little detail.  Tonight he will start his 2011 tour in the National Auditorium.

“Look, I am very excited that I am starting the New Year and the tour here in Mexico.  You know that I feel great love for this country as they have watched me grow throughout my career and have helped me get to where I am today.  Right now I am in the National Auditorium which is a very important place in the artistic world”, said Chayanne.
The singer’s adventure started with two confirmed shows.  The fans were so excited that they had to add four more shows, No Hay Imposibles January 21st, 22nd, 25th, 26th, 28th, and 29th, *six in total.

“And I think that there are many reasons why we strive so hard and so much when we are putting a show together.  We worry about the stage, the lights (that we have to turn off now so you can see us on camera (laughs) you know all of these things get you so motivated”, he mentioned.
The Puertorrican artist returns to his tour after spending the Christmas holiday in Puerto Rico with his family.
“In Puerto Rico we celebrate Christmas with our typical food, rice with pigeon peas, pastels, roasted pork, and all of those little things, but most of all happiness.  When the family gathers together at the table and we all talk about what went on during the year and sort of catch up, reflecting on it all”, he added.
Chayanne is very happy with the success he’s had had with the movie “Tangled”.
“It so happened that they went to see the movie and then they heard my voice but saw Flynn Rider’s face, not daddy’s face, or uncle’s face, and they saw me as something special” he said.
No Hay Imposibles and Chayanne are taking off in a very big and spectacular way in 2011 in Mexico!"

*There have been two dates added to the tour since this interview

"Mexico has been a great springboard for my career ': Chayanne

"Mexico has been a great springboard for my career ': Chayanne

MEXICO CITY, Mexico, mar. 5, 2010 .-

Chayanne returns to the music scene, and does so by showing that, so far, musically for him nothing is impossible "because I believe that what a man wants to do is just fight, work and to go on, not fall, you'll find stones along the way and encounter difficult situations, but you keep fighting. "

The singer said in an interview with esmas.com, how his mood has influenced the creation of his latest material, nothing is impossible, which contains from 'romantic rhythms "to" rhythmic songs.

"In my case I have a great love, then that's why we are singing the songs you love, because I believe in it," he revealed.

Nothing is impossible marks the return of Chayanne’s new disc after the release of Live in 2008, which as the name indicates is compiled of the best from his career, so his return with his current CD brought him a long creative process, as he received "over 200 songs ... then first you listen to the sound, for your style, because you can get salsa songs, rock songs ... and you get to the point where all the songs you hear are digested, are the ones you like.

A few hours after the launch of his material, the Puerto Rican already had a Gold Record in Mexico, a fact that is a very great compliment, it's a joy to the heart "and shows how much this country wants and has influenced him," Mexico has undoubtedly been a great springboard for my career. "

"Actually when you say Gold Record, and more at this time is the strong support from an audience that is there, that is with you and that is welcome," he said.

After more than a 25 year career and a score of albums, Chayanne believes the key to keeping strong is "doing his job" and "you have to love what you do, I think that's what people can see and respect, then comes the support. "

The singer is still enjoying his work so that it does not become boring or routine, besides that it's important not to "take success for granted, do not forget what you did but every time you do a new project, a tour, a disk, acting projects, make them with the same enthusiasm as ever, with the same respect, trying to be extra good even if you don’t know how it will be received, but you're sure you're giving the maximum, then it is the one that gets the pennant. "

In addition, the internet has really helped him stay close to his fans and to know their concerns and desires.

"If I tell you what they want ..." he said with a laugh when they talk about the show where the show will be, what country and then it is a means of informing them, "he added.

Chayanne added a musical tour will begin in May, it will start in the U.S. and he will tour Spain, Central America and Mexico of course, although no dates have been set.

Photos of him receiving the Gold Record in Mexico:

I have to tell you this is my favorite picture! *ROFL* I can hear Chayanne now! "OMG it's the Twitter Twibe!"
