Web Users Fall In Love With Chayanne Again! (Article Translation)

Translation by Candela

The Puerto Rican star Chayanne once again heated things up for the ELNUEVODIA.com users with his usual spontaneity and mischief.

For about an hour, the singer videochated with fans from Miami, Florida, and showed why he is one of the most loved artists from Puerto Rico. The cyber meeting occurred just over a week away from the series of concerts offered at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, José Miguel Agrelot, on the 11th, 12th and 13th of February as part of his world tour “No Hay Imposibles”.

During the video chat, which gathered more than 2,600 users, the artist reiterated how much he loves to dance. "Moving my skeleton is something I do because the music takes me. I have the rhythm in my heart, “he said.

To the question of what would you do when you can no longer move so deliciously on stage, Chayanne replied: "I don’t know, I will always move with the passion and heart, maybe a little slower “, he laughs.  “I don’t know what I will be able to offer, but I will always give my best”.

Otherwise, the singer listed the three best memories of his life.  He stressed the birth of his children, Lorenzo and Isadora, having his family together at the dinner table, and to be in a show where the public chants his songs.

About the candidacy of his brother Emanoel Figueroa for mayor of San Lorenzo, by the New Progressive Party, Chayanne said he was not concerned that supporting his brother would affect his career.

"My thought is for that person that brings harmony, peace ... I support the person who has a good thought for his people. I support him as a brother, now at a professional level.  I let people be and I don’t mix myself in that aspect, but he has my heart, "he said.
In more intimate details, the interpreter said that he does not sing in the shower, that he is ticklish, and that “I give myself love”, and that he smells like “soap” and “skin”.  He also assured that he would leave his career if there was a legitimate need by his family.  Chayanne finally reiterated his love for Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rican audience.  “I am super in love with you!  I love my Borinquen, my beloved land,” said the artist.

Chayanne Pumps Up The Volume To The Max!

This is an interview that Chayanne did with the video channel VMax. Personally I have to have a little giggle at the question about the social networks. I think they are amazing. It puts people even closer than the "six degrees of separation" that we used to live under......I think it's huge fun that Chayanne is on Twitter!

"You are watching Video Plus, and we are taking part in Chayanne’s conference in the Puerto Rico Museum.  Stay with us so you can see exactly what happened.

How do you feel in Puerto Rico?

Super happy, I am in my country, my homeland, with my people, but at the same time I feel nervous too because when you bring your show to your friends, your neighbors, your family you always feel the pressure of giving them your best, but always with a lot of love.

There is nothing impossible for you right now correct?

No, nothing is impossible in life, part of that title is because I put it to practice.

Talk to me about your new album so that your fans can hear what you have to say.

Of course, the name of my album is “No Hay Imposibles” and there is a song in the album with the same name.  We start with that song and then go from there.  We name the album and we start taking experiences that we have shared perhaps while producing the album itself.  The first song we released was “Me Enamore De Ti”, which was the title of a soap opera in Mexico by the name of “Corazon Salvaje” and this way little by little the album keeps growing with more songs.  We are always hoping that the people like my music, and this album is just my style, slow ballads, and some songs with a lot of rhythm and always with my fingers crossed hoping that all goes well.

We know you are preparing for the concert here in Puerto Rico, and you are also going to Spain.   Tell me what can we expect from this production here in the island?

The tour comes with a lot of energy, a lot of dancing on stage, the dancers, the romantic songs, many songs from the new album, and the classic songs that people have put at the top of the charts, so this more or less keeps the show balanced.  When we come to Puerto Rico we come with tons of energy and we hope that they like the show because we do it for them.

You know that this is a channel that plays videos, and your videos have been around since the beginning until now, how do you see the evolution in your videos?

I see that videos are a great way of showing what you are doing.  A huge way in which you can promote your work and I remember when I did a video with Kenny Ortega, Este Ritmo Se Baila Asi, and it was very successful and the Fiesta en America video that we filmed here in Fomento and it was a huge hit throughout Latin America.  Those videos were my beginning and then progressively we filmed Un Siglo Sin Ti in Canada and Caprichosa.  In Argentina we filmed Torero, Tiempo De Vals  and Salome were filmed in Miami.  All of these songs have been the stepping stones of my career and have helped me get to where I am today.

Leaving your professional life on the side, tell me more about your life on the web, I saw your webpage, I see you are active on Twitter, how do you feel about this, now that we are part of the cyber generation.

I think it’s fantastic, great way to communicate; it’s a great vehicle to get you closer to your fans.  But there is always a balance to the way I do things, so you won’t find me online for hours, but I find it very helpful and for example I see twitter like a small, personal newspaper  in which you tell your fans what you are doing and where you are going and it helps you promote as well.

So many years waiting for a live album, which is excellent by the way, is there another one in the making?

Sure, I don’t doubt it, it was the first live album that I did from my past tour.  It was a very interesting experience, I loved it, and I have it in my future plans to do it again.

Any Puerto Rican rappers that you would like to work with, do you have any in mind?

Yes, without a doubt, you know that I admire all music genres, such as reggaeton, rap, and salsa, all that this island offers you, and it is always a great pleasure for me to be with dedicated people who love to work.

“How are you my beautiful people, this is Chayanne and I send you all my love and I leave you here with great music in Video Max, pump up your volume to the max!"

Video Chat with Chayanne – All That + A Cherry On Top!

I never say no”

And this statement from Chayanne gave way into the video chat brought to you exclusively by El Nuevo Dia, where Chayanne answered the questions on his fan’s minds.

Many questions were asked in the hour long video chat many of which we’ve heard before.  The hot political question of the day was if he would campaign for his brother's (Emanoel Figueroa) candidacy for Mayor of San Lorenzo and if he would think this would hinder his career?  The answer was yes, he would campaign and no, this would not hinder either of their careers... and of course this should come as no surprise.  Chayanne is one of the most family-oriented artists out there and it is only fitting that he would support his brother in his aspirations.

For all of you my dear Spanish-language challenged friends, I have listened to the interview and extracted what I believe to be the essence of it all.  The excerpt below does not include the many questions we’ve heard over and over again (such as, what perfume do you use and all its variations).  All in all this was quite a charming and cozy interview.  Just what I needed on this freezing cold night in New York City after a long day of work.  Enjoy!

Q. When will we see you again with a beard?
I LOVED this question… one thing about Bariloche is… Bariloche loves her man with beards lol.  Though he stated he is not planning to change his current look, in all honesty… he is still the best looking man on the planet, beard or not.

Q. What is the most embarrassing moment you’ve had onstage?
A. A disappearing act I did once.  The stage gave way and I fell completely forward speakers and all.

[I cannot imagine that the women standing in front of that stage so much as moved an inch seeing him fall towards them. LOL!]

Q. What would you do if your wife asks you to stop being Chayanne the artist and just be you?
A. She would have to speak to my mother who named me… and would have a big problem! (laughs).  They call me Chan, Chay.  Chayanne.  I’ve always said that Chayanne is not an artistic name.  It’s what they call me.  But in the case that my family would need me to stop being an artist, I would stop doing all this.  If it’s for a legit reason, not for a whim, yes.  I don’t tend to do a lot of things on a whim.  But you know, when there are things like illnesses and someone needs you, then at that time I would stop.  I have a lot of love for the people.

"This has been my life, not just touring.  You meet people and they treat me like family.  It’s a very beautiful thing and something incredible"

Q. What do you fear?
A. Al cuco!
Something I fear… what we just spoke about… when you get difficult illnesses in the family.  These difficult illness that require a lot of strength.  And I’ve been in situations that are examples of that.  Life happens to everybody.  But you have to have that positive mind that nothing is impossible whether it’s at work or in personal situations.
[I love his answer! El Cuco!  For those of you who are not familiar with the term, “el cuco” is basically that unknown "boogie monster" our Hispanic parents get us to believe in, so that we are well behaved children.  As soon as you do something naughty, you hear them say “just you wait til night time when “el cuco” is going to come get you".  Oh he brought back some sweet childhood memories of mine! J ]

“I give myself completely in everything I do”

Q. Why did you get married so young?
A.  Life.  Life takes you to make decisions that are thought of, not just spontaneous.  And that’s how it all happens.  You can’t have an alternate life where you can live and then go back to make decisions. We only have one life and I am very happy with mine.

Q. What’s your weakness?
A.  I’m very protective of everyone I love.  I’m very defensive if needed, using words of course.

Q. What will you do when you can no longer move so deliciously on stage?
A.  I don’t know.  I will always move with passion and heart.  Now.. I might move a little slower, that’s another thing (laughs).

Q. Do you fear old age?
A.  No, I want to live through all stages of life.  With dignity.  I’m sure there will be difficult moments, but no, I don’t fear it.

Q.  Are you bringing a lot of dancers to Puerto Rico?
A.  To Puerto Rico I am bringing my current group.  I’m adding a few more dancers.  And other little surprises that we have with the choreography.  Musically, I’m looking into other songs, new arrangements…

Q. What do you like most about yourself?
A.  I like that I always try to find harmony and be at peace.

Q. Do you regret anything?
A.  I’ve had difficult moments I’ve learned from but generally I am very happy with everything life has given me.

“Que Rico!!!!”

And there you have it friends.  More reasons to love this man.  As if any more were needed.

Chayanne will be in Guadalajara, Mexico this weekend at the Omni Life Stadium and then its home.  I know Puerto Rico is bursting with excitement as the day approaches to see their island’s pride and joy perform for the first time at the Coliseo in Hato Rey.  I mean… I can hear my bff Marbella scream “Chayanne!” all the way from Puerto Rico here in NYC ever so often throughout the day. Hehehe

Meeting with Chayanne! Tonight! Be There Or Be Square!

This is a really cute article by El Nuevo Dia
The translation had been lovingly done by Candela Spirit

I can't wait to see this interview...but I will have to tell you...If someone asks him again what does he wear to bed....I'm going to scream! (That's one of the questions they forgot to list below! LOL)

"The singer will participate today in a video chat at 7:00 pm. (Puerto Rico)

Chayanne’s playfulness, sensuality, and humor will be broadcast live from Miami today, where alnuevodia.com presents a video chat with the artist at 7:00 pm.

For an entire hour the website surfers may ask whatever they want to the singer, who was present at the Coliseum in Puerto Rico, José Miguel Agrelot, on the 11th, 12th and 13th of February as part of his tour "No Hay Imposibles”.

The video chat will take place in the sunny city of Miami, where the artist lives with his family and where his offices are located.

The online event comes nearly one year after the first video chat with Chayanne which was held by El Nuevo Día, on February 25th, which so far is the most watched in the history of the site, more than 3.000 users online.

At that time Chayanne was faced with prying questions and he confessed weaknesses and even danced doggy style to please a fan.

These are some of the questions that he was asked in that occasion:

How do you sleep? With a sheet in hot weather and in a shirt in cold weather.

What‘s your shoe size? 12

Do you wear boxer shorts? Yes, I wear boxers.

How do you stay away from scandals?  By respecting the media, respecting my fellow artists, respecting people, and respecting myself. I'm very quiet and when I finish my commitments I will go out and eat at a specific location surrounded only by my group.

Do your children speak Spanish? Yes, they speak it perfectly and also read and write it.

Do you want to have more children? They are beautiful, but I'm fine this way.  But I have my brother who just had triplets so I have enough with that.

Do you travel with your family?  It is very difficult because one goes from one place to another and it is a concern. I am very proud of them, but it's something I prefer to keep to myself."

E.F. Hutton Has Nothing On Chayanne

They use to say, "When E.F. Hutton speaks...everybody listens" Well E.F. Hutton could learn a thing or two from Chayanne! Yesterday Chayanne sent a Tweet via Twit Longer that included this message that was marked for "Immediate Release".....you could hear the collective silence and then the barrage of fans who follow Chayanne started tweeting faster than their fingers probably had the ability to text! This is a really cool press release with VERY exciting information! As you read you will notice that Chayanne speaks of having shows in Aruba and fasten your seat belts...Canada! that's right he's bringing the tour back this way! (I don't know about you but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Canada!)

02/01/2011 Press Release (For Immediate Release)

The charismatic and talented CHAYANNE has had without a doubt one of the best beginnings to a new year and an amazing opening for the second part of his tour No Hay Imposibles, with six sold-outs in the National Auditorium in Mexico DF, where sixty thousand people had the opportunity to see him up close and enjoy the spectacular and diverse show that the Latin icon gives. Among the audience,  ten year old children, couples embracing while chanting his ballads that perhaps brought them together, or maybe even bringing  good
memories to grandmothers in the audience, without leaving out the thousands of women who passionately pay him compliments, sometimes a little bit out of naughty, but they never stop dancing to his amazing rhythm.  This magnificent range of generations makes you think and conclude that Chayanne is an artist for all ages.

On Saturday the 5th, he will perform at the Omnilife Stadium in Guadalajara, where a huge Latin-American convention will gather more than 25 thousand people from 18 countries making this show one worth waiting for.  Following this event, he will be traveling to Puerto Rico where he will have three concerts at the Coliseum, where he will perform for the first time, even though he has always preferred to sing underneath the moonlight, accompanied by the stars and the Caribbean breeze, but this will be a good change and a great experience to visit the Coliseum.

During the next few months and up until July, Chayanne will continue with his tour, No Hay Imposibles, Viña Del Mar on February 24th, Arena Movistar will once again open the doors for him on Saturday the 26th and then he will travel to Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Central America, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Aruba, Canada, and some other countries that are still waiting for his arrival.

In Chayanne’s own words, “I don’t know how to thank the support of my fans and those that want to see my show, each time I feel a greater responsibility to give more of myself, so I never let you down.”

~Chayanne, you thank us in so many ways....probably more than you could every image.......and we are eternally greatful.

Also don't forget that Chayanne will be giving a live interview TONIGHT! You can watch it on line, just go to El Nuevo Dia.com   The interview is scheduled to start 7 p.m. Puerto Rico time so find out what time that would be in your time zone ;)

Chayanne's Gift From The Heart

"Mi gente linda..un pequeño recuerdo de mi concierto de anoche en el DF...las quiero!"
"My beautiful people .. a little souvenir of my concert last night in Mexico City ... I love them! "

"Me voy de Mexico y voy feliz después de haber hecho 6 sold-outs en el Auditorio del DF...ahora me preparo para ir a mi Isla pronto..un beso"
"I am leaving Mexico, and I'm happy after having 6 sold-outs in the Auditorium of the City....now I'm ready to go to my island soon...a kiss"

The last show in Mexico is over...the seats are now empty and the concert hall has been cleaned and is in pristine condition as it waits for the next occupant to arrive and for their fans to populate the seats....but no doubt that it will never be the same....for if you stand in the silence, close your eyes and listen not with your ears, but with your  heart, you will still be able to hear the sounds of Chayanne giving love to his fans in the way that only he knows how...and you can hear the echos of the love that they gave in return. You can also still feel the kind of electric energy that makes the hairs on your forearms tingle.

As a final gesture to the people of Mexico Chayanne sent a picture of himself from the last concert.
But alas, the show must move on. So their off to Puerto Rico! Se here's wishing Chayanne and his entire crew safe travels! See you in Puerto Rico!!
