With much love in my heart I need to thank a very special Sister/Friend for working on these translations. Like me, she does it for love and friendship, and we are the benefactors of her efforts. Sending you much love and light my sister. Truly nothing is impossible.

Nancy Speaks : …………………..

Cucuy : He as an artist has been able to express what he really feels as a human being in the aspect of friendship , love, family and friends.

Chayanne: NO I believe there is no impossible, I say that, everything you want to do it can be done, you can fight, obviously if I wanted to levitate right now I wont be able to do it, but I could use some cables , do other little things , talk to the technicians (he laughs), but you can reach anything you fight for, I believe in positivism I believe in being positive and you have to always try, and when it doesn’t come out right try again. Through out my career I had to face a lot of things for example sickness, that being my parents, and other family members these are difficult situations that as a humans being break you down, you then analyze and find a balance and say lets look for alternatives and we look forward and we do not allowed ourselves to give up. Professional wise there has been highs and lows, there are moments that you extremely enjoy, then there moments that the career is at a stall or like people that have been working in the management department are no longer with you, so you then have to find a team that you can trust and that can understand you, ummm and yes I have had a lot of difficult situations. Tour wise some projects you work on (cds) are more successful than others but you still continue to fight, I see this as a soccer game , to put it as an example is the career, (pause) the career is like a game of soccer you are playing the game but that doesn’t specifically mean you are always scoring a goal , but when you score a goal you celebrated and in the mean time you have fun through out the game and that’s how life is that’s how my career is. No I always uplift my self , and am extremely fortunate to have a group of people that are always there to support me when difficult things happen , there is not much you can do, but you can take them as learning experiences.

Chayanne: like I always say it Look I have a parallel life the son of Irma and Mr Quintino and the live of the artist that has been always been on stage, I try to live both lives the best I can. After I finish with any commitments and I know I have two days to record a song or a video I always try to do it where my family is at. Or if I know I have two days off in between shows instead of staying in that country where I am I get on the plane mmm even thought the show finished at 12 o’clock in the morning and three or four hours from Miami for example Mexico I leave and arrive at 5 in the morning but when they open there eyes I am there and that gives me lots of joy. Life goes by too fast and you analyze it in the case of many that are watching us , In your case music industry we have to be gone for a very long time , any time I have free time I try to be with them, it gives me joy , it gives me pleasure, is not easy firs of all I have done it with out thinking , hmmmm when you are ten, eleven years old you are not thinking all you want to do is see your family is part of you, is not easy to leave your family and when you have a profession that isolates you it can backfired on you, you have to have your priorities extremely (he pauses ) balanced in order to be happy, if you incline yourself to one side and is not that I analyze it in order to do what I do, because I love what I do, but if you incline yourself to one side you can be extremely happy but you will be find yourself needing other things and as of right now I feel good I feel happy, I am not always happy because is not normal that one is always happy , some moments more than others but many times I do try to find it.

Me enamore de ti…….

Chayanne: the way I want to be remembered is that I was a normal person that gave love in everything he did, that gave 100% in the things that I did. Never wanted to hurt anyone with the things I do, a fighter mmmm a person who always searched for happiness, and still searching,(laughs) to add I can add many things because is a lot of gratitude that I have to give, I can tell you thank you to the public , thank you to the people for allowing me to do something that has fulfilled me to the fullest, for letting me be in this profession that allows me to receive a lot of love, because what I receive is a lot of love is affection like I mentioned before smiles , looks with affection , looks with good intentions , is total gratitude and I wont say nothing else because the tape has finished ( smiles )

Part III Chayanne Interview With Mexico Suena (English Translation)

There's no other way to start this blog post other than with thanks. A very dear friend of mine offered to translate  more of the Chayanne's Mexico Suena interview. Sister Girl you know I'm sending you much love.

I think was I've found most enjoyable about this particular interview as opposed to others that I have seen is the fact that Chayanne is just being allowed to speak. the interview asks very well thought out, open ended questions to Chayanne and what he gives in return is Chayanne in the simplest form.

So thank to a very dear friend you can watch and enjoy more Chayanne!

~Peace

Ferly Prado speaks…………………  He is a hard worker himself so is just nice to work for someone that actually works hard and wants to be in rehearsal cause a lot of artist you know either push that to the side or don’t have that time for whatever reason or have the energy. So is just nice to work for someone that is on the same level as you as far as wanting to get the show right wanting to get everything perfect  and make sure everyone is comfortable on stage.”

Cocoy Alvares Speaks...... Chayanne is a very special person, I have always thought that during his concerts there is a magical feeling to it, not sure what it is but obviously it has to do with his energy, his professionalism and all the good intentions he has and puts towards his shows. “

Doug Speaks ……………

Marcus Mitchell Speaks……….

Nancy O'Meara Speaks………..

Ferly Prado Speaks again…..

Nancy O"Meara Speaks again….

Chayanne:  No, in my team there is a lot of talent, you know, there is a lot of talent through out Latin America and around the world.  There are great musicians , great managers , umm great videographers (camera man) but when you work with me and that  opportunity presents itself  because is a spontaneous decision because you believe in that person you don’t know if they are going to work out or not , you might simply give them the job and that person shows you the professionalism they have while working with you, but it really goes beyond the professionalism that person might have , is whether they can interact when traveling  with you,  how are they  as  human beings outside of their work, how is he/she as a coworker , do they have the tolerance, because we have a tour of more than 24 countries and that’s not an easy thing to do, you leave the family your home your pillow your bed your fridge (he laughs) I have a lot of things in there (he laughs in a naughty way) leaving all of those things and having that loyalty and that commitment that I am going to do it is extremely hard  and that’s what I think  what makes people work with me for a long time.

The friendship, those things that human beings have that’s what we look for; (laughs) I say the fridge because when you are at home that’s where you have your belongings  you might  have that hole on your pajamas  you walk around your house with a freedom and peaceful feeling,  because that’s your nest, everyone has a nest ,everyone has that place where they  feel free,  like when you say (pause)  in Puerto Rico we say mommy blessings  or you say Hi Daddy  we all at one point reunited ourselves with our childhood because inside of us we all have that little boy or little girl so is that one place where you are truly free and being able to be free  that too is part of the fridge (he laughs) inside the fridge I have other things , those things that every one in the world has , I have the milk for cereals I have those little normal things ( he says this as he is laughing). But that’s what you have at home, that freedom.

Chayanne's Mexico Suena Interview (English Translation)

Before we get started watching this part of the interview with translation, I want to take a minute to thank my sister/friend Angie Arcie for helping me find this video clip. This clip was originally posted by Karlix Kenth, who so graciously allowed me to use it *HUGS* Secondly I need to thank Angie for coming to my rescue by doing an amazing job translating this part of Chayanne's most recent interview.

So, as I like to say, sit back, relax and enjoy. This truly is a warm and charming interview. We get to see and hear even more of what makes Chayanne so very special.

~Peace

Press: NHI but what is the most difficult thing you’ve had to face in all your years in this career?

Chay: In my years in this career I’ve faced a lot of things, difficult family situations, and illness in my parents. Sometimes in these situations as a human being you break down a little then you analyze it balance it and then you look for the alternative and try to go forward.  You try not to let yourself fall down, and professionally  there have been high and low moments. You truly enjoy the highs.  Then there are other moments when your career is at a plateau. Some people that have been with you like management for a long period of time that aren't with you any longer then you have to regroup and find people that you can trust and can understand you; and yes I've had a lot of situations, tours, you make a record that doesn't go as well as you expected and then you keep fighting. I think about it like a soccer game, you're  playing all the time just not always scoring goals.  But when you score you celebrate, and as you're playing the game you're having fun in the game and that's how life is and my career as well.

Press: When a project doesn't workout like you expected, how do you react? Do you get depressed? Do you cheer yourself on? Do you learn from it?

Chay:Yes I do cheer myself on. I'm also very lucky to be surrounded by a group of people that are there to support me when difficult things happen. What can you do but learn from them? You take them as learning experiences.

Press: A little philosophical now how would Chay today like to be remembered tomorrow?

Chay: I'd like them to remember me as a normal person that gave love in the things he did.
That gave 100% in everything he did. I've never wanted to hurt anyone with the things I do; as a fighter, a person that always looked for happiness, that is still looking for happiness "laugh".

Press: If today you had an opportunity to have a meeting with that 10 year old Chay at the start of his career what advice if any would u give him if any or what would you do?

Chay : The 10 yr old Chay and today's Chay are very close. We live so fast and we have so many activities. I'm always going from one tour to another,  to a CD. I have so many activities that a 10 year time span is a short time that you're giving me because at 10 I was already on a big successful tour thank God. I had the support of the public like now, and its been a beautiful life at least that's how I see it. That's what its been like for me.  If  you tell me 20 years,  well then  I would say never stop trying like u did in the beginning. Don't lose the happiness, the dream when you're doing things for the first time. Everything I do I see it as if it were the first time. I enjoy it as if it were the first time. I give it my all because I feel a commitment to it, then that's where the time you have in a career comes into play.

Press:What profession at 10 years old would you have never chosen because you feel its just not you or you dislike it?

Chay: I don't know because I respect all professions that are done with dignity. As long as you're happy, as long as I'm happy. I  could be on any base playing because its a way to live. I could make you a chair or those shoes. I could make you a camera, not that I could build it but if you try.  That's why I say all professions, cameraman I don't know because its very difficult (laughing)

Press: I could tell you I could never be an M.D. because I see blood and I cry. I respect that profession.

Chay: AHAH! Well I played a vampire once.  I have to take you out on those dark streets! JAJA! No blood.  The occasions Ive had to see blood have been beautiful because Ive seen life come of it, its been beautiful. (I'm going to assume right here that Chayanne is speaking to the birth of his children...can you feel that tug on your heart strings?)

Press: If you had the chance to change a reality in the world or in your country what would you choose?

Chay: I always lean towards the children like they say and it's not a cliche, they are the future of the world. Then when I see that they're on the streets, when there's hunger, illness all that breaks my heart and thats what I would like to change. That they have all their needs met. A good education so that they can understand how things move, nutrition that they're healthy, that they have that beautiful genuine smile that they give you spontaneously. A true smile that they never lose that.  That's what I would like to give them, thats what I would like to change so that they could all have that. (It's at this point where I turned into melted butter)

Press: You've answered it more or less but are you happy?

Chay: Yes I am happy. Some days are happier than others,  but always looking for happiness. Waking up in the morning and being able to breathe.  I'm grateful with what life has given me. What PAPA DIOS has given me I'm very grateful. (You had me at PAPA DIOS!)

Press: And to finish off returning to the stage you have a phrase ESSSSSSOOOOOO where did that come from? (Yes! Inquiring minds would like to know....my mind would like to know)

Chay: ESSSSSSOOOO JAJA ESSSSSSSOOOOO ESSSSOOOOO came from.... ESSSSSOOOOOOO it's a spontaneous thing that u say and you repeat ESSSSSOOOOOO in Puerto Rico is used as a mannerism.  While recording a song I said it and in the promo for that CD.  It just took like Celia Cruz's "Thanks Azucar".  You identify urself with it ESSSSSSOOOOOO and the people identify you with it ESSSSSSSOOOOOO is all there is.
