Yuri and Chayanne Will Reunite In Viña Del Mar This Year

Written By Candela Spirit
Media Research by Glamour Girl

If you have been following Chayanne’s career for the past twenty years or so as I am sure most of you have, then you know who Yuri is.  If not, let me refresh your memory.  Back in 1994 a soap opera by the name of “Volver a Empezar” (Starting Over) was released and quickly became a hit in Mexico and later in Argentina.  Yuri and Chayanne demonstrated great chemistry together and it was plain to see that they loved working with each other.

Yuri began her singing career in 1979 and some of her albums include “Primer Amor” (First Love), ‘Goma De Mascar” (Bubblegum), and ‘”Regresaras” (You will return).  These albums were huge hits and in a short time Yuri became a superstar.  From 1988 to 1997 Yuri was on top of the world as both music and acting career were at their peak.  She took a long 5 break and returned better than ever in 2002.  She came back full force with a new cd, a tour, and also hosted many TV shows.

According to www.oem.com.mx Yuri will be one of the international stars in the upcoming International Song Festival Viña del Mar.  This year they are expecting  at least 15 thousand expectators to attend ,  who will be serenaded by international figures such as Marco Antonio Solis, Chayanne, an Alejandro Sanz just to name a few.  This year the show is dedicated to the Chileans miners and victims of earthquakes that struck this city last year.

In a telephone interview with mercuriovalpo.cl.com , Yuri had this to say about returning to Viña del Mar this year:  “I think that when I step foot on that stage, tears are going to flow with a lot of emotion because I will remember all the wonderful things that I have lived there, such as being the first Mexican to receive a torch award, having been elected as the Festival’s Queen, received a Seagull award, and best of all meeting my husband Rodrigo.”

Yuri also said that she is looking forward to reuniting with Chayanne and perhaps sing a duet with him.  She said “I would love to see him again after working together in “Volver a Empezar” (Starting Over), I think it would be hilarious.”  She has many fond memories of working with the Puerto Rican and remembers so many cute and funny things they shared together on the set.  I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to see Yuri and Chayanne’s reunion.  It will be an unforgettable moment for both of them and one who will live in their memory forever.

There’s a lot of fire left in this beautiful Mexican singer and I am sure she will singing and acting for many, many years to come.  For Yuri, the best is yet to come!

With A Cure For Every Ailment (Article Translation)

The passion that he shows on stage is the perfect contrast to help him navigate through arid songs.   Take hold of his smile as an infallible method of escape, but always making clear that he does not intend to remain in "warm waters" but simply to be true to his philosophy of life: focus on the positive.

Chayanne got very deep in conversation with the spokesperson on career plans and long-term goals; he called it "the most difficult moment of his career, his contribution to the situation in the country and his unconditional support to his brother for political office, irrespective that can be extrapolated to support a particular party.

This is Elmer Figueroa Arce, a whirlwind on stage, but above all father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

"I support my brothers in the profession in which they are in .... Music is for everyone not for a political party.  On a family level I am with my brothers in any profession, whether it was the one they had yesterday, the one they are pursuing today, or the one that they will have in the future.  I feel happy because I see them happy and as long as I can contribute my little grain of sand so that they can succeed in whatever they do, then they can count with my support” he said in connection with the aspirations of his brother Emanoel Figueroa Arce becoming mayor of San Lorenzo in the New Progressive Party.

The singer is not afraid that in a country largely polarized by politics, what he considers a family affair can cost him artistically.

"My political party is Puerto Rico. I am with anyone who does well for Puerto Rico. I vote for people, their credibility, their work and how competitive this person is for the well-being of others."

Not to elude, that the island is going through a tough time at both the social and economic level, and he proposes to help with its healing with that he does best: music.

"You feel sad and hurt because they are your compatriots. You do not live there, not really live anywhere because you're always traveling, but you realize what we can do when we unite as Puerto Ricans. We have overcome many storms together, the economic crisis, lack of tolerance and I just try to put my two cents, I try to make good music and bring joy to my people, "he said.

This medication that promises to alleviate the social woes with renewed energy promises he promises to deliver it when performs at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico from February 11th to the 13th as part of his "No  Hay Imposibles Tour" and this will end a three year absence from the local performing centers.

"Puerto Rico is my home and will always be something special. There is also a bit of nerve, but the desire to give my best, “said Chayanne who has virtually spent this last year touring.

The highly applauded "tour" throughout the United States, Europe and Latin America, has brought the Puerto Rican great satisfaction, but also "the most difficult moment of his career, when faced last October in Ferro, Argentina, with a discontented audience when his health suffered a setback which he fought against not to disappoint his followers

"Without a doubt (it was the most difficult), but I’ve always been willing to give 100% of myself and bring joy on stage through my work. We must keep fighting. There will be difficult situations, sickness that people don’t know about, and I still look to give the best of me, "he said and hopes to stay in optimal health by exercising, eating well and above all, doing what he likes.

At the end of 2010 he gave his voice to "Flynn Ryder, the star of the Disney animated film" Tangled.”  This year, he is not ruling out new projects that deal with acting; he will combine these with the selection process of songs for his new album.

"The Spanish film has the same quality as the film in English. It could also be a miniseries or a single project. The important thing is that I feel I can give life to that character, "he said.

After the "No Hay Imposibles" tour, tentatively this summer, he will begin the conceptualization of his new music, which he anticipated, "could have many changes" while remaining true to his essence, he predicted as he promotes his single “Me Pierdo Sin Ti”.

Proud father of Isadora and Lorenzo, who is almost an adolescent - the possibility of becoming a grandfather with the same sensuality as Julio Iglesias, has not crossed his mind.

"I see this in a very, very distant future," he laughs. "I have not thought about it, but I want to be the same father I am today and the aspiring dad that I was yesterday."

Returning to Viña del Mar is in the artist’s immediate agenda, which by the way tickets to this presentation have already been sold out.

"Tonight You Command And I Obey", Chayanne Casts Special Spell

You should hear the collective screaming of the women in the audience when Chayanne speaks these words. If you've been to one of his concerts you know exactly what I'm talking about. He's giving all of his fans the permission to have their way with him. So you would think that he would be the one affected by this "arrangement" so to speak, but actually it works in the reverse. As soon as these words are spoken after the screaming....the women turn into a collective mass of clay, ready to be formed and shaped not by Chayanne's hands, but by the caress of his voice and the sexy smoke in his eyes, into a loving masterpiece of sheer pandemonium.

Please enjoy this article translation by Candela that speaks to this exciting phenomena!

"Chayanne Was Full Of Energy, Dance and Sensuality In The Auditorium
Mexico - Energy, dancing, sensuality and music by Puerto Rican singer Chayanne was everywhere during his first concert of the year in Mexico as part of his tour "No Hay Imposibles", which took place at the National Auditorium which was overwhelmingly crowded.
For the show, the scene is arranged with a platform on which some of his musicians and singers were situated, and they placed a ladder in the middle of the structure which led to a small ramp.  In addition, four male dancers and two female dancers did various choreographies alongside the singer.
For almost two hours Chayanne, who had five wardrobe changes, was accommodating to his audience, composed mostly of women of all ages, and little girls who also enjoyed the presentation.
"Provócame" was the first song of the night and people began to get up from their seats and started to dance, while Chayanne, wearing black pants, a gray shirt and a dark jacket, continued to greet his followers.  Subsequently, the Puerto Rican sang "Lola" and welcomed the Mexican public to his show.
"I want to welcome you, give you my heartfelt thanks for being with us tonight, this is my first show in 2011, so you are my sponsors, I am doing it with enthusiasm and with love for all of you, tonight you command and I obey, "said the singer.
The concert continued with "Un Siglo Sin Ti" which was chanted by fans who were eager to throw some underwear on stage.
"I dedicate this song so you can once again celebrate your reunion with love" and thus gave way to "Si No Estas," a song from his new album "No Hay Imposibles."
Chayanne was accompanied by eight musicians and two singers, who have been with him at every performance throughout this tour.   "One does not do things alone, one needs a team, and I am always thankful and very grateful to them," said the singer, who also showed his gratitude to the Mexican technicians.
After a change of clothes, the artist wore a blue shirt, and followed with the ballad "Cuidarte el Alma" and "Tu Boca”.  Then, to spice things up, he changed to a tropical pace and sang "Palo Bonito" and "Fiesta en America." Then he sang “Atado a Tu Amor” and "Candela."
Chayanne changed clothes once again, this time he wore a black shirt, and then sang ‘Tu Pirata Soy Yo”, ‘Completamente Enamorados”, and “Baila, Baila."
The Puerto Rican, who never stopped smiling, was very attentive to his fans; he waved and even kissed their hands when they approached the stage.
"This song talks about how you should not take for granted the great love you have for your mom, dad, brother, sister, neighbor, whoever, we have to water our garden so that our flowers don’t die," said the singer and then sang "SI Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo” and “Mi Credo.”

Chayanne’s concert closed with "Salome", but his audience wanted more so a very casually dressed Chayanne, now wearing jeans, returned to the stage and sang ‘Besos En La Boca.”
For one of his most famous songs, "Tiempo de Vals", Chayanne invited someone from the audience to dance with him and she was lucky enough to stay with him to almost the end of the song.
"My mother always told me to always think of Mexico as a loved and beautiful country, and you are all very special to me," said the singer, who took ended the night with "Torero".
In addition to this presentation, the Puerto Rican will also perform this Saturday and also the 25th, 26th, 28th and 29th of January at the National Auditorium."

Chayanne on Disney Planet, Great Interview (Video)

This is an adorable interview that Disney Planet did with Latin Mega Entertainer Chayanne, who play the voice of the main character Flynn Rider. Personally I can't wait to get my hands on the DVD!

Please enjoy the translation below is by Candela

Friends, welcome to Disney Planet 100% translated, 100% acted out, because we are here to learn all about the new Disney movie “Enredados” (Tangled). So we invite you to meet the man and voice behind this character, Chayanne, so he can tell us everything about his character! Do you want to meet him with me?

Santiago Stieben: Tell me a little about this great adventure that you are living being the voice of Flynn Rider in Disney’s new movie “Enredados” (Tangled).

Chayanne: “I am very happy and excited about everything that’s happening.” said Chayanne.
Santiago Stieben: So tell me more about all of what’s happening.

Chayanne: “It’s very intense and complex but I must tell you that I’ve had a lot of fun doing it. It’s the story of a girl name Rapunzel….you like that right? “says Chayanne as he laughs.

Santiago Stieben: Is this your first time giving your voice to a Disney character?

Chayanne: “Yes, it’s the first time but I have done videos and music for other Disney movies, but the first time that I do this type of movie”.

Santiago Stieben: How is the relationship between Flynn and Rapunzel?

Chayanne: “Well, my character is a thief and one day while trying to hide after he stole something, he happened to run into a beautiful girl named Rapunzel. They then make a pact; I give you this for that and this is where the relationship starts to flourish.”

Santiago Stieben: Did you use your body to act out the character as you were doing the voice?

Chayanne: “I moved but not a lot because you are not allowed to make noise.” (They asked him to take off his bracelet because it was making too much noise as they were recording).

Chayanne: “But I did put some movement into it, like when you are holding a knife or got kicked by the horse.”

Santiago Stieben: Friends, I hope you enjoyed the interview with Chayanne and go watch his new movie ‘Enredados” (Tangled) a movie that will have you more tangled than ever. If you are as anxious as I am to see it then you should go see its premier. Until the next Disney planet, bye!

Chayanne Is a Flirt With His Fans! (Article Translation)

I remember one of the very first things that another fan said to me when describing how Chayanne makes his fans feel during a concert. "He makes you feel as if you're the only person in the arena." Now just stop for a moment and try to grasp the magnitude of that statement.....just imagine a sold out arena with thousands upon thousands of other fans and you feel like he's singing just for you. It's sort of like one of those scenes in the movies where you have two people and their eyes meet and the rest of the room fades into the distance, along with any other extraneous sounds...and there's nothing left but the two of them.....that's about how it is.

By the time you leave the concert, Chayanne has flirted and teased with you, as well as made you laugh, and sometimes even cry (good tears of course*smile*)....you may have even waxed nostalgic....it's no wonder he has those fans that feel as if they are free to bring on the heavy duty, even as he says naughty flirtations when he's off stage! Personally I'm surprised that they can speak when they meet him let alone have enough spunk in them to be naughty with Chayanne, kudos to you ladies!

With that said, please enjoy this adorable interview that has been translated by the incredible Candela!

http://musica.univision.com/noticias/article/2011-01-21/chayanne-es-un-coqueto-con-sus-fans

He plays along if his fans tell him a “naughty” comment.

The charisma that characterizes Chayanne has taken him to have millions of fans in every place that he sets foot on.  The majority of his fans, women of course,  have come to suggest a few naughty things and Chayanne rather than getting offended or upset, prefers to follow their lead, of course always with limitations.

The interpreter revealed that since he travels so much it has become very common for his fans to wait for him in the hotels’ corridors and stop him to chat, but when things get hot, he has the solution.
"Everything remains as a platonic love, a simple glance full of complicity.  I just leave it as that, just like in my shows, there is flirting, my fans show me love and I show them love back”, he told the Diario Reforma in an interview.

And, even though he is extremely handsome, we can’t forget that he is happily married so his fans will never have the opportunity of getting more than a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Oh well, I guess most of us will just have to be happy with watching him dance on stage and really enjoy his performance, especially now that he just kicked off his No Hay Imposibles 2011 tour at the National Auditorium In Mexico.

Chayanne's "NHI"Tour Mexico Premier Interview

This is a very nice interview that was done with Chayanne prior to the first performance of the NHI tour in Mexico. .....January 21, 2011....I'm still smiling!

~Peace

"One step, another step, checking on the band, the dancers, the lights, the sound, you are watching Chayanne in an exclusive video of Chayanne during rehearsals supervising every little detail.  Tonight he will start his 2011 tour in the National Auditorium.

“Look, I am very excited that I am starting the New Year and the tour here in Mexico.  You know that I feel great love for this country as they have watched me grow throughout my career and have helped me get to where I am today.  Right now I am in the National Auditorium which is a very important place in the artistic world”, said Chayanne.
The singer’s adventure started with two confirmed shows.  The fans were so excited that they had to add four more shows, No Hay Imposibles January 21st, 22nd, 25th, 26th, 28th, and 29th, *six in total.

“And I think that there are many reasons why we strive so hard and so much when we are putting a show together.  We worry about the stage, the lights (that we have to turn off now so you can see us on camera (laughs) you know all of these things get you so motivated”, he mentioned.
The Puertorrican artist returns to his tour after spending the Christmas holiday in Puerto Rico with his family.
“In Puerto Rico we celebrate Christmas with our typical food, rice with pigeon peas, pastels, roasted pork, and all of those little things, but most of all happiness.  When the family gathers together at the table and we all talk about what went on during the year and sort of catch up, reflecting on it all”, he added.
Chayanne is very happy with the success he’s had had with the movie “Tangled”.
“It so happened that they went to see the movie and then they heard my voice but saw Flynn Rider’s face, not daddy’s face, or uncle’s face, and they saw me as something special” he said.
No Hay Imposibles and Chayanne are taking off in a very big and spectacular way in 2011 in Mexico!"

*There have been two dates added to the tour since this interview
