Chayanne Making Pink Look So Good! (Chayanne Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month)

Let me start this blog post by saying it's been a very long time, too long as a matter of fact since I've written anything new for Pandora's Caja. Every now and then we need to take a mind break and let our inner muse rejuvenate itself. We have however been keeping up with our as always charming and exciting Chayanne, along with all of our other favorite Latin, Pop, and R&B favorites on our Pandora's Caja Facebook Page

I would be remiss if I didn't give seriously warm and heartfelt kudos to my Pandora's Caja Sisters in Arms, Fantasia Chayanne and Glamour Girl for keeping the PC home fire's burning both here and on FB. Love you Ladies!

Now! On to the business of our Chayanne!

No matter what is going on the world Chayanne ALWAYS! ALWAYS! takes the time to send out love to his millions of fans around the world. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as he has these past several years, Chayanne is going Pink!

National breast cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) was founded in 1985 as a partnership between the American Cancer Society and the pharmaceutical division of Imperial Chemical Industries (now part of AstraZeneca, producer of several anti-breast cancer drugs). The aim of the NBCAM from the start has been to promote mammography as the most effective weapon in the fight against breast cancer.

In 1993 Evelyn Lauder, Senior Corporate Vice President of the Estée Lauder Companies founded The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and established the pink ribbon as its symbol, though this was not the first time the ribbon was used to symbolize breast cancer. In the fall of 1991, the Susan G. Komen Foundation had handed out pink ribbons to participants in its New York City race for breast cancer survivors.

It, doesn't surprise me in the slightest that Chayanne is once again urging his fans to take time to take care of themselves and their health. This act of support is a re-affirmation of why he is much beloved on an internationally level.
