A Fan's Eye View: Premios Oye Special Tribute To Chayanne

On February 9th Chayanne was honored during the Premios Oye! Awards for his no less than stellar 30 year career in the entertainment industry.

The awards were established in 2002 by the ANAMUSA (Academia Nacional de la Música) in order to reward composers, artists, record companies and every person who is involved in the music industry. This recognizes the very best of musical production without counting the position where the artists charted in the Mexican Albums Chart.

The equivalent of Premios Oye! (Spanish, meaning "Hear! Awards") to the United States's Grammy Awards. It is telecast by Televisa in Mexico through its Canal de las Estrellas and on Univision in the USA.

Many thanks to Uber Chayanne fan and friend to Pandora's Caja, Dely Rivera Chay for allowing us to share her incredible video clip of the Premios Oye! tribute to Chayanne. This clip was taken in real time. What I wouldn't have given to be in the audience that night.

So while all of us couldn't be at the ceremony in person, don't forget that we can watch the tribute on February 11th and 12th on Univision at 9:00 pm.

......and while the awards show was going on, little did we know that over in Venezuela.......

"........again supports the outstanding work and excellent singer Chayanne. Since last February 7 reached national record stores all the DVD / CD "Alone With Chayanne", thanks to sales reported already achieved "gold record"."

I can honestly say that we will never get enough Chayanne, but over this last week, he has given us more than our fair share of warm hearts, wide smiles, and the dream of what else is still yet to come.

Congratulations Chayanne from all of use at "The Box", you deserve all of this and so much more, Much Love.....
