Moving On To The Latin Billboards!

Chayanne performing "Tu Boca" Live on the 2010 Latin Billboards

Well....the Premio Lo Nuestra awards for 2011 are over, many heart felt congrats to all the amazing winners!

~Chayanne, just between you and me, we know you deserved to win in all three of your categories...but we'll get'em next year! Did anyone tell you today that you have the bestest fans in the entire world?! *BIGCHEESYGRIN*

With that said we're putting the past behind us and moving on to the 2011 Latin Billboard Awards! Chayanne has been nominate for the following categories

Latin Pop Airplay Artist of the Year, Solo:

*Chayanne (Sony Music Latin)
Enrique Iglesias (Universal Music Latino)
Juan Luis Guerra (Capitol Latin)
Shakira (Epic/Sony Music Latin)

Latin Pop Albums Artist of the Year, Solo:

*Chayanne (Sony Music Latin)
Enrique Iglesias (Universal Music Latino)
Marc Anthony (Sony Music Latin)
Shakira (Epic/Sony Music Latin)

Last year, Chayanne wasn't among the nominees for the Latin Billboard awards, but in my opinion, he was the highlight of the show. Fresh off the heels of the release of the single and the video of, "To Boca", Chayanne gave the hottest performance of the night!

This year, Chayanne's nominations are based on his most recent album, "No Hay Imposibles". Chayanne is currently packing stadiums around the world with the tour.

I don't know about you, but I know where I'm going to be on April 28, 2011 at 8:00 pm, glued to my television set to see Chayanne take it home....what about you?

~Peace

The Billboard Latin Music Awards honor the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music, as determined by sales and radio airplay data that informs Billboard's weekly charts during a one-year period from the issue dated February 6, 2010 through this year's January 29, 2011 issue.

Finalists, and the eventual winners, reflect performance of new recordings on Billboard's sales charts, including Top Latin Albums, and radio charts, including Hot Latin Songs, with album categories confined to titles that did not appear before Nov. 7, 2009 issue but excluding finalists from the prior-year's Billboard Latin Music Awards. Based on sales data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and radio information monitored by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems, Billboard's charts are the world's most authoritative music charts.

Also presented on the show are Billboard's prestigious discretionary awards including Spirit of Hope for humanitarian contributions, the Lifetime Achievement award and Hall of Fame. The Billboard Latin Music Awards are produced and televised LIVE on Telemundo on April 28, 2011 at 8pm EST.

Chayanne on the Premios Tonight! We Came, We Voted..and Now We Watch

We're just a few hours away from the 23rd Annual Premio Lo Nuestro live award show presentation at the American Airlines Arena in Miami tonight, February 17 at 7:30 p.m. The red carpet is televised starting at 7:00 p.m. with the awards show presentation following at 8:00 p.m. on Univision.

Chayanne has been nominated for Pop Album of the Year (Album Del Ano), "No Hay Imposibles"
Masculine Artist of the Year, Pop (Artista Masculino Del Ano), Pop Song of the Year (Cancion Del Ano), "Me Enamore de Ti".

The PLN winners are selected based on fan votes....so that's going to give Chayanne a huge advantage....why? Because Chayanne has the absolute best fans in the entire world!

I've written in the past about what the PLN Awards are, so I'm not going to go over that territory again. Instead, I'm going to leave you with the clip of Chayanne from last years ceremony.

For tonight, Chayanne fans who are any where in the world where Univision will be broadcasting will be sitting in front of their televisions, or if they can't be home, the seasoned Chayanne veterans already have the program set to record!

These are the links to the Univision channel on JustinTV. Usually they transmit the Univision channels in the various time zones, but they might not show the Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, but I wanted to leave you with the links just in case *HUGS*, it's always worth a try.

Chayanne's Frisky Interview on Al Rojo Vivo (Translation)

Chayanne always gives great interviews! I know this one is a few days old, but I heard that it was just toooo adorable to pass up. It's not often we get to see Chayanne as his frisky and playful best! You know...Tengo un cariño personal en mi corazón por un hombre que le gusta el chocolate negro ... que tiene que el chocolate oscuro derecho ... es muy intenso ..... hay que amor! LOL

Ok Chayanne, people are asking how hot is the concert that you will be giving us this weekend, especially since its Valentine’s Day.

Chayanne:  It’s going to be on fire!

So, what can the fans and the ladies expect?

Chayanne:  It’s going to be on fire because I always perform with my heart in my hand, especially in my country that the people here know me since the very beginning,  all that’s happened so far, it’s almost like I am thanking them for always being there.  The songs from the new album, No Hay Imposibles, and I named it that because we have to fight in life, and get up every time we fall.  The songs that the fans have placed in the top spots, like “Dejaria Todo” ( I would leave everything), they identify with them and some might say that they remember exactly where they were when they heard the song, Tiempo De Vals (Time for Waltz) they might have danced it on their sweet sixteen.  And I am going to be with my heart in my hand and very happy to be in my country.

We have to fight for love right?

Chayanne:  Yes, we have to fight for love and you have to nurture your relationship so it could blossom.  Because for example in my profession, just because one of your albums is a hit doesn’t mean that the next one will be too.  You have to see it like it was your first time and you have to dedicate yourself, and always work hard.

So can the ladies expect sensual movements by Chayanne?

Chayanne:  There is going to be a little bit of everything, it’s going to be very nice and the show will have a lot of energy.  Being from here, I have added more things to my show.  I want to do a tribute to the music of my country; I have more musicians, more dancers, more scenery, and more lights, more everything.

So we should expect something different and will you be closer to your fans?

Chayanne:  Of course I will be closer to my fans, and not only that, this is the first time that I am going to perform in the Jose Miguel Agrelot venue, the other places I’ve performed have been great but this one is going to be special.   I just hope that the public has fun, that they sing and dance, and that they get each other up from the chairs.  I want them to do what they feel.

Since we warned you before the interview, we are going to ask you some hot and steamy questions, inspired in the theme of Valentine’s Day.

Chayanne:  Oh oh, so this is just the beginning (laughs)

Does Chayanne sleep with clothes on or like Adam?

Chayanne:  I have always supported Adam, before the apple that is (laughs)

What is Chayanne’s favorite time to make love?

Chayanne:  There is no schedule; you do it when you feel it, when the sentiment is there, without conditions.

What inspires you to be romantic?

Chayanne:  I get inspired by what I have in front of me (laughs), inspired by life, by beautiful things, by tranquility, by love, by spontaneity.  That’s what inspires me; I have to be relaxed, without conditions.

Your fans would like to know if you are going to do another sexy layout like the one you did for Playgirl years back.

Chayanne:  (Laughing and pointing his finger at the interviewer) No, that time I did it more for publicity, because that magazine was going to be featured in Japan and pretty much all over the world.  It was more for the (pauses and says) see how I get (laughs).  I was wearing a bathing suit, they asked me to pose nude but I am very shy.

No one has forgotten that yellow swimsuit!

Chayanne:  (laughing) No one has forgotten it, you are killing me, and did you see it?

I have to be honest and tell you that I did see it, that one and the one with the pillow and the one of you on the beach too.

Chayanne:  We did the pictures, and they came out good.  They were taken in the beautiful island of Jamaica.  But I don’t think I could ever pose nude, I don’t think so.

Everyone says that the older you get, the better you look.

Chayanne:  Well thank you, of course with clothes on.

Well, maybe if you take new pictures we can then be the judges of that.

Chayanne:  So you will judge huh (laughs)

Ok, here is the last of the steamy questions, please take the question out of this beautiful arrangement made just for you.

Chayanne:  So pretty, perfect for Valentine’s Day, and remember one of the reasons we are doing the concerts now is to celebrate Valentine’s Day.  Ok, it says, do you consider yourself, wait to I read it?

Yes, of course

Chayanne:  (reading the question) Do you consider yourself a hot, steamy lover in your private life?

And Chayanne responds…

Chayanne: (Picking up petals from the vase and throwing them up in the air) I respond like this (laughs) Let me pick them up, one by one (laughs).

Do you enjoy passion and seduction?

Chayanne:  Yes I like it, I can’t deny it.  And I think that when you are comfortable and you feel love it’s when you enjoy it the most!  Therefore…turn off the cameras (laughs)

Ok, let’s change the subject, you’ve been traveling the world since you are ten years old, is there anything from your childhood that you never got to do, that you know want to do with your own children?

Chayanne:  I have lived my life intensively.  I have taken advantage of the time I’ve lived both in my personal as in my professional life, so I think I have given them all I could in the time that I spend with them,  in certain places, and we have lived very beautiful moments.  Life goes on and I will continue to feed my relationship because family is the most beautiful thing in the world.  And of course I am very proud of my children as they are very noble and I am very happy with the beautiful gifts that life has given me.

Do you think of having any more children?

Chayanne:  We have beautiful things prepared for the show (Chayanne laughs and jokes as he started talking about something else and didn’t answer the question).  No, the idea is never discarded, but we don’t have any plans to have more children.

So your last concert is on Sunday, February 13th and Valentine’s Day is the following day on the 14th.  Is Chayanne prepared and will he have any energy left?

Chayanne:  I always have energy when it comes to that (laughs) I am referring to the concerts.  No, there is always energy and a lot of love.  I am a traditional kind of guy, and some traditions I celebrate more than others, for example the Christmas tradition I live intensely, and of course Valentine’s day too, I love to eat with my family, it’s another opportunity to be with the ones you loved, but Valentine’s day is every day.  But we always try to be together, eat together, call our loved ones, and remember all the good times, because we are always looking for moments full of happiness every chance we get.  We are going to be together and we are going to have a great time.  You know the flowers, eating together, the chocolates.

Do you like chocolate?

Chayanne:  I love chocolate!  I give chocolate and if they don’t eat it, then I will.

Do you like milk or dark chocolate?

Chayanne:  Dark, intense, that it tastes truly like chocolate.

Finally, can you send a message to your fans that are watching?

Chayanne:  To all the people that are watching, thank you for your love, I am very happy to be here in Puerto Rico.  I always have my heart on my hand, whether it’s on the month of love and friendship, in a concert, or if we ever run into each other somewhere.  I am always thankful for the smiles I receive.

I forgot to ask you something, while you travel the world, how do you feel when you come across child abuse or abuse to women?

Chayanne:  That makes me very sad and I feel as if there is nothing I can do because I am merely a little grain of sand.  But I always say that there should be peace, tranquility, harmony, dialogue that by talking a solution can always be reached.  There are no impossibles and we have to be tolerant and we have to talk.  Conversation is the best weapon that can have.

Thank you Chayanne!

Chayanne: You are welcome

Chayanne Send A Beautiful Valentine's Day Message (Translation)

Valentine's Day is always special, but this short and sweet message from Chayanne made it even more special. Here's wishing you much love for Valentine's Day and beyond from Pandora's Caja.

~Peace
Feliz Día de San Valentín!

Media Research Fantasia and Glamour Girl

"My beautiful people, this is Chayanne. I send you an enormous hug from here because today is a very special day.  Today is the day of love and friendship.  So all those loved ones in your life, mom, dad, brothers, sisters, all those people you love, husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, neighbors, give them lots of love because life is very short.  Happy Valentine’s Day!"

Brandon Barton Brings Sizzling Moves and Incredible Personality to Chayanne's NHI Tour

Brandon Barton, better known to you Twitter lovers as @bbartoncuzz, is one of the new dancers on Chayanne's NHI Tour 2011. Almost from the very second that official word broke that Brandon was going to be one of Chayanne's dance crew, Brandon opened his heart and his Twitter (not to mention his Facebook) to Chayanne's fans.

If you haven't had the pleasure of having one of Twitter 140 character or less conversations with Brandon then you're missing out on a real treat.....I think Brandon is the only person to come along in a while that can get Chayanne fans of multi-nationalities and ages to to start speaking in "Brandoneese", you know what I mean cuzzz? Mira Weppppaaaa!

Personality not withstanding, Brandon is one of the most incredible dancers that I have seen in a very long time. He brings a raw energy, and hard core sexy to the dynamic choreography of our beloved Nancy O'Meara. (You know you have to bring your Sexy A-game if you're going to dance next to Chayanne!)

So I have to tell you, it was a great pleasure when Brandon agreed to do an interview with Pandora's Caja. With that said, enough of me talking....ladies and gentlemen, one of my new favorites and soon to be one of yours, Mr. Brandon Barton

PC - Can you tell us the very moment when you knew you wanted to be a professional dancer?

BB - I was in high school and watching the 1999 VMA’s, which had Britney Spears, TLC, Sisquo, NSYNC, Janet, and Christina Aguilera. I had always liked to dance, but never thought I’d do it seriously. I was super focused on my education and had acquired a full scholarship to college after high school. Once I got to college I realized that it was entertainment that I wanted to pursue.

Brandon workin' it during a rehearsal for Chayanne's NHI Tour

PC - What types of dance disciplines do you work with? i.e Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Modern?

BB – I am most disciplined in Hip Hop, but also studied Jazz and ballet when I was younger and involved in gymnastics. I used to be a competitive gymnast. I was state champion in Georgia twice. But as a dancer you have to be able to “fake it till you make it”, meaning that even though hip hop is my strong pursuit, I sometimes have to perform other genres of dance on certain jobs.

PC - I have read that not only do you dance but you also teach and choreograph. If you had to pick just one that you could do which one would it be?

BB – I couldn’t pick just one! I love entertainment and being able to express myself creatively, whether that’s dancing, choreographing, music, or teaching. I also love fashion and clothes.
Brandon sending us Tweets no doubt!

PC - Can you tell us some of the choreographers that you’ve worked with?

BB – I’ve worked with Marty Kudelka, Fatima Robinson, Nancy O’Meara, Hi Hat, Michael Rooney, Rich and Tone Talauga, Swoop, Ed Moore, Mikey Minden, Othanne Burnside, Jamaica Croft, Aakamon Jones, Fli Styles, Laurie Ann Gibson, Cicely and Olisa, Tahisha Scott, and Lissette and Chonique, to name a few.

Marty Kudelka
Fatima Robinson
Nancy O'Meara
Hi Hat
Michael Rooney

PC - Can you tell us some of the artists that you’ve worked with?

BB – Honestly there are so many to name, as I’ve been blessed to work with an amazing plethora of artists. Some of them include, Missy Ellito, Cheryl Cole, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, TLC, Aaliyah, Kylie Minougue, Kesha, Ciara, Brandy, Omarion, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Pussycat Dolls, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Will Ferell, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Sisqo, Christina Milian, Christina Aguillera, Tom Cruise and P. Diddy to name a few.

PC - Where do you think it’s best for a dancer starting out to be, New York or L.A.? And Why

BB – It depends on what you want to do as a dancer. NYC is excellent for musical theater/Broadway. LA is great for commercial dance (i.e. commercials, television, movies, and videos) Most of the work as a dancer takes place outside of LA.  That’s where most of the film/television studios are.

PC - Right now you’re on tour with Chayanne on his “NHI” tour, what is your favorite dance number of the show and why?

BB – Mu favorite dance number is probably “Salome” and “Lola”. They are both fun! “Salome” is super intense and militant. “Lola” is dope because it’s chill and the number involves all of the dancers, both male and female, but mainly because Chayanne dances A LOT in that number.

PC - Chayanne fans are loving you up! Do you have anything that you would like to say to them?

BB – Thanks for all the love from the Chayanne Fans!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!! Make sure you check out my music group, “the LAB”, on YouTube at: theLABmusic 2010

Thank you Brandon for the bottom of the Box for sitting down and having some chat time with us. Our words for Brandon.....once you're a part of the family you're always in the heart of the family...Much Love!

~Peace

Chayanne's Heart And Soul Are Finally Home

"Cuando mi boca no tiene palabras, mis lágrimas se hablan las palabras de mi corazón
Sus lágrimas fueron el idioma internacional"
"When my mouth has no words, my tears will speak the words of my heart, his tears were the international language"

There's a certain energy and love that we receive from the land of our birth....being able to stand under it's sky, sun, and moon. To be able to look up into the night sky and see that same stars that kept watch over you by night while you were a child sleeping in your bed. To walk in you bare feet in the earth that your fore fathers walked....It can wash you with emotion that can be so strong and so unexpected that all you can do is yield to it.
Chayanne is no exception.....For his first show of his NHI tour in Puerto Rico, Chayanne gave an amazing tribute to his country and his people. It was so full of genuine love and emotion that he found himself overcome....you can hear the people in audience as their own emotions sang in chorus.

Below is the English translation of Chayanne's tribute. Please enjoy it as much as I did......
~Peace

English Translation by Candela

Slideshow, music playing, and Chayanne speaking:

Why am I here?
I remember who I am
Thanks to all of you!
I work a lot,
I love what I do!
I have tours that last a long time
And when I see Puerto Rico on the calendar
First I get filled with emotions
And then I begin to get nervous
Because you have seen me grow
You are my island of enchantment.
You are beside me when I travel the world
As I always take you in my heart
And I want you to understand me well
I am going to tell you why,
Because when I am touring all over the world
I am proud to say that I am Puerto Rican,
I tell them of our beautiful beaches
And the warmth of our island
I invite them to come to my house,
To a house with open doors
And hearts full of love
That’s what we are
Descendants from this great race,
We are a very close family
Just like our “coqui”.
We are tradition and customs
And that’s why we have to be proud of all those Puerto Ricans
Who have taken, are taking, and will take the name of Puerto Rico
And they are also proud of being from this country!

Music starts and Chayanne appears on stage:
First song is “La Patria” (The Nation) by Ruben Blades
Some time ago a kid asked me
If I knew the meaning of the word “Nation”
He surprised me with his question
And with my soul my throat I said to him:
(Chayanne starts crying)
Flower from the neighborhood, little brother, Nation,
So many beautiful things
Like that old tree that talks about “Puebla”
(Chayanne Crying)
Like the love you keep inside after your grandmother passes.

Second song is ‘Good Borincano” (Good Puertorrican) by Rafael Hernandez.
If I was not born
In the land of my birth
I would be regretful
Of not being born there.
I am not at fault
Listen my dear brothers
Of being born in this little island
And being a good “borincano” (puertorrican)
Since I'm not made of stone
Someday I will die
And in my “borincana” (puertorrican) land
My remains I will leave behind
Burry me wherever you want
But it must be in my “Borinquen” (Puerto Rico)

Third song is De Ahi Vengo Yo (This is where I come from) by Wilkins
Where the breeze mixes with the sound of the sea
To give birth to a dance, that moves our palm trees
This is where I come from, where I come from, where I come from.
Where country people give you their black coffee
And at night the “Coqui” gives color to the silence
This is where I come from, where I come from, where I come from
Where the flamboyant flower blossoms, like the color of the aurora
And the sun burning your skin will let you know that time it is.
This is where I come from, where I come from, where I come from.
