I knew the word "piel" as language challenged as I am, it's a word that Chayanne uses in one of my favorite songs "Volver a Nacer" "Va creciendo el amor y en la ilusión. Se nos queda la piel amándonos. Es volver a nacer cuando tú y yo. Estamos juntos. (Love grows. And in the illusion, we shed our skin while making love. It's like being born again when you and I are together")
How beautiful are those words.....exquisite.
So of course I had to go to the source...Bariloche! This is the definition that she gave me, "De Piel a Piel, sensual...the ultimate intimacy. Two hearts synchronized into one heart beat...embraced, together....skin to skin." How the heck sexy is THAT.....but I think there's something even greater...."De Alma a Alma", soul to soul. That's what Chayanne gives us through his music, he gives each and every one of us the chance to experience him soul to soul.
With the NHI tour firmly tucked away, Chayanne fans all over the world have turned their thoughts and conversations to the "What's going to come next." There are so many music artists out there cranking out albums one after the other, but there are very few artists that give it to their fans so good that they leave them hanging on wanting more.
Each album that Chayanne creates, it's as if he exposes a bit more of his inner-being, as he weaves himself with his voice through the words and melodies of his songs. This is what we feel when we're listening to his music, and the feeling s that he enables us to experience are never the same, always deeper, more intense. The great part about it is that no matter what you are experiencing at any given moment in time, you can find a song of Chayanne's that will give you what you need in that moment.....I should know.
It's easy to find music to dance to, now mind you, Chayanne, who is the embodiment of "Baila Swagger" can put down some of the best dance tracks that you'll ever hear, but it's in the ballads that you find his true depth.
When you're at your worst moment, you can put on your favorite ballad, and suddenly your inner most being, is transported. Some may call it their "Happy Place" *wink*......I call it the hinterland of my soul....the outer most regions of my being......and if you look very closely into the eyes of a Chayanne fan at one of his concerts, THAT is what you will see in their eyes. The reflection of one soul touched by another in a way that will stay with them forever.
So yes, I'm like every other Chayanne fan eagerly waiting to see what will be next, to see what else lies beneath. I still think that "De Piel a Piel" would be a great name for an album. But If I can't get Chayanne de piel a piel.....I'll gladly take him "de alma a alma".
