It's very rare that I post two blog entries in the same day, but today is one of those days. All of the buzz is about Chayanne being under the weather. Last night Chayanne had to cut short a concert in Ferro, Argentina.
It has been reported that he got through about 40-45 minutes of the show before he had to stop...and yes the crowd went ballistic...The article below even says in the headline that Chayanne was booed! I have to tell you, that kind of pissed me off!
I know that fans spent mad loot to attend the concert and some probably traveled a long way. I know exactly how you feel about that because I did to......however....do any of you know how hard it is to sing night after night, week after week and especially out doors! When you're outside dancing and working up a sweat under those lights and then the cold air blows...you get sick.
A person can only push so hard for so long before something gives...and Chayanne is human. I know that as loving adoring fans we can sometimes forget that Chayanne's body is subject to the same ills as the rest of us. (I know it's easy to forget given the fact that his body is always looking ridiculously fine!) But with that said, I know from first hand experience how hard it is to sing when you're not well and how much your voice depends on being in great health.
I'm sure that he will reschedule the show, I think he tried to do his best so that he wouldn't disappoint anyone, but right now just be the wonderful fans that I know you are and be as loving, understanding, and supportive as you can be. Don't worry Chayanne, we've got your back...Superman had his "Fortress of Solitude", you've got something even better, "La Fortaleza del Amor".......
Chayanne, be blessed and be well,
~Peace

Chayanne spent another night 'black' in Argentina and defrauded more than 15,000 fans in his presentation last night at Ferro. By sound problems and a problem with your voice, the Puerto Rican singer suspended his show early.
He opened the concert with all sails saying: "Good night, beautiful people, thanks for opening the doors of his heart. ¡Esta noche pueden hacer lo que quieran con nosotros!”. Tonight can do whatever they want with us. "La gente estalló de alegría, pero luego, casi una fracción de tiempo después, el estallido de alegría se transformó en indignación, descontento, y abucheos. People burst of joy, but then, almost a fraction of time after the outbreak of joy turned to anger, discontent, and boos.
About 15,000 people who came expecting to delight your senses with Chayanne, went quite disappointed. “Injusticia” Nos robaron”, “Chayanne nos hubiera dicho que no podía cantar”, fueron algunas de las frases que se escucharon entre las fans. "Injustice" We were robbed "," Chayanne had told us that he could not sing "were some of the phrases that were heard among the fans.
Perhaps, if someone looked Susana Giménez program last Sunday, might have noticed that the singer made playback. Last night, there were rumors that he would have done well in some of their songs.
What happened last night was maybe a deja vu of what happened three years ago when Chayanne River suspended its shows because of problems with his voice. Unlike what happened last night, the two concerts were rescheduled.
The question is with what happens today and tomorrow as Chayanne will perform two concerts in Caballito.
Poor baby. I can't imagine how disappointed he was that he had to discontinue the concert. He loves his fans. Let's pray he recovers very quickly.
ReplyDeleteIt's happened before and will more then likely happen again. I hope the boos were disappointment cause true Chayfans would never react that way Argentina loves Chayanne. He made it right the last time and came back!
ReplyDeleteHey Regg!I know Chayanne was terribly disappointed. I'm sure that he did his best to get through the entire show, he just couldn't. Keep him in our prayers always~
ReplyDeleteYou're right Anonymous, it has happened before, and it probably will happen again if whoever arranges these tours keeps sending him to outdoor venues where the temperatures are freezing at night. He should do Argentina in their summer season, it would probably be better. An I'm sure that he's going to reschedule. He loves his fans!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment!
