Let's start with Chayanne's performance in the 150th Anniversary of the battle of the 5 de Mayo in Puebla, Mexico, on May 5, 2012. The celebration began at approximately 8 pm and was televised internationally. Those who will performed include our beloved Chayanne, Espinoza Paz and Marc Anthony as the closing encore from the Cuauhtemoc Stadium. The FREE show went on for about 2 hours.
Just in case you missed it here are highlights of the show.
At the start of the video you can see the rain steadily pouring down, only to be met with throngs of adoring fans, and Chayanne, who's smile can give the sun a run for his money!
It was reported that he slipped during concert, I'm sure that slip got to his ankle just a bit. So Chayanne's fans do what they do best and poured out tweets and messages of concern for his health. Chayanne was quick to respond via Twitter with lovely words of gratitude to his fans for their beautiful messages and get well wishes.
What happens next you ask? Auditions in L.A., for Gigantes? Or for his next solo tour....that's what was happening this week out in Los Angeles. Chayanne tweeted about it, long time friend and Choreographer Nancy O'Meara tweeted about it.....and hopeful dancers were out in droves!
My personal favorite for the week is that tickets went on pre-sale yesterday for Gigant3s in Atlantic City, San Antonio, general public sales will begin today. (Yes I've got my tickets! It's going to be a hot time in A.C. on August 17, 2012)
Then to make the week even more special as if it could get any better Chayanne sent out his Mother's Day greeting to all the beautiful moms out there.
Click the link to take you to the original post, this way you can have your special greeting from Chayanne in it's original desktop perfect size! |
And the message that came along with the greeting? "Ustedes madres son el motor de la existencia humana." Mis respetos y todo mi cariƱo. ("You mothers are the engine of human existence." My respect and my love.")
This just about catches us up on the comings and goings of Chayanne, but if you really want to stay abreast of what's going on with "Sir Rocks A-Lot", as some of his fans call him, you should check out his official pages www.chayanne.com , http://www.facebook.com/CHAYANNE , and https://twitter.com/#!/CHAYANNEMUSIC
With all of that said, have a wonderful weekend and to all of you mother's out there, be blessed!
~Peace
