Chayanne Tickets Sold Out In Viña Del Mar Festival! (Article Translation)

How could you blame any one for wanting to be the first in line to get one of these tickets! I don't! Chayanne fans know the deal....get there early and get those tickets quick!

"The tickets for the Lima concert will start selling on January 24th. The concert will be held at the Monumental Stadium concourse on April 14th.

Even though an announcement was made that all tickets for Chayanne’s presentation in this year’s Viña del Mar were sold out, there still remains a growing expectation for the return of the Latin star to Lima.

As it turned out, the organizers of the Festival de Viña 2011 commented that the tickets for the February 24th show were sold in a day, and the reason was because on this night Chayanne will set foot on the stage of the Quinta Vergara with his new explosive show.

Meanwhile, it is now official that tickets for his show in Lima will be on sale on January 24th and can be purchased at Tu Entrada De Plaza Vea and Vivanda.

Chayanne’s anticipated concert in Lima will be held on April 14 at the Monumental. The singer of "Atado A Tu Amor”, returns to Peru after seven long years of absence with a show called “No Hay Imposibles 2011.”
The ticket price ranges between S/.60 and S/.420.   The organizers have decided to start selling tickets on Monday the 24th so that no one is left without being part of this spectacular concert that brings back the incomparable Chayanne."

Chayanne Walks Around In Flip Flops And Shorts Around Condado

Many thanks to Bariloche for the translation!

This year it looks like he took a long one… (a vacation) and the ready lens of Primera Hora caught Chayanne once again, in Puerto Rico, but this time in shorts, rubber sandals and baseball cap.  He was on an outing with his wife Marilisa Marronese, his daughter Isadora and other family members at the restaurant Pelayo’s in Condado.

Chayanne, as he usually does, was driving his large family in his own jeep while he vacations in Puerto Rico.

Stoked.  That’s how fans, among them Eva Gadea and her friends, of the secretive and very incognito (though always friendly) idol were left upon seeing him exit the restaurant sporting his “batata power”.

Similarly, upon setting foot on the island, we captured the new Puertorican hall of famer Roberto Alomar, who arrived last Sunday at 1:00 pm on his private jet and with his staff at the Muñiz base in Isla Verde.

And in the gardens of La Fortaleza, in the midst of friendly conversation with Alomar, we also saw Luce Vela and Luis Fortuño.

This time take me out with a smile!, said the governor.

Also, in his dressing room at Centro Bellas Artes (CBA), we surprised Raymond Arrieta, who is touring the island with his comedy shows.

Additionally, in the traditional Kings Day party given by publicist Enrique Grau Pelegri we came upon Jose Aponte, Lissie Rosso, the cuatro-player Prodigio Clauridio, Zeny Bevaraggi, Marcos Rodriguez Emma and Kenneth McClintock.

Someone else the ready lens of Primera Hora surprised was Ivette Cintron (who looked great) with her new love, Emilio Morales.

Wilkins could not be missed, whom his publicist Enrique Grau Pelegri, could bring back from retirement in 2012 with the “25th Margarita Anniversary Tour”, as he commented.

Chayanne, Has Many Names....Versatile Is Only One!

This is a really great article that was published on BMI.com.I have to say that it couldn't have come at a better time. The conversation arose today amongst some of the "twibe" as the to the many names of Chayanne....let me see if I can recall them, there was "Romeo", "Rafael", "Prince", "Tiger", "Gabriel", "Pedro"....and my favorite, "Sir-Rocks-A-Lot" (thank you Anniee for your fun and creativity, as always *HUGS*)

I'm sure if I took a poll of all the wonderful names that Chayanne has, we would be here all day, but one of his many names is versatile. So with that in mind, please enjoy this really nice article. Only part of it is posted here. Please visit the original web sit to read all of it

Here is a bit of the article:

"Chayanne, a Versatile Icon"

"Latin pop sensation, balladeer, dancer, actor—there seems to be no role that Chayanne can’t master. With a career that has spanned more three decades, he has achieved truly iconic status in the Latin music world, yet he remains one of its hottest performers. His most recent album, No Hay Imposibles (Nothing is Impossible), has produced two hits this year, including “Me enamoré de ti,” the theme song for the Mexican telenovela Corazón Salvaje. Chayanne continues to be an electrifying presence in concert, as well. He toured the U.S. and Latin America earlier this year, and traveled to Spain in August for a 15-city schedule of performances.

Born in Puerto Rico in 1968, Chayanne stepped onto the music scene at the tender age of 10, as a member of the boy band Los Chicos. From the beginning, he loved to perform. “I was just a happy child enjoying the moment,” he recalls. “It’s funny, because I never felt like I was working.” Chayanne ultimately left Los Chicos in 1983 (a process he has described in interviews as “painful”) and established his solo career with his first album, Chayanne es mi Nombre, in 1984.

As with many young artists, it took a little time for Chayanne to find his musical niche. He had his first hit in 1987 with “Fiesta en América,” and in 1989, the ballad "Fuiste un Trozo de Hielo en la Escarcha" (“You were a Piece of Ice in the Frost”) topped the Hot Latin Tracks chart. Around the same time, noted choreographer Kenny Ortega directed the video for “Este Ritmo Se Baila Así,” an exuberant dance tune that gave Chayanne a chance to show off the moves his fans love. His mastery of both dance songs and tender ballads has come to define Chayanne’s career, and he takes pleasure in his versatility. When asked which type of song he prefers, he says, “I enjoy both. I have no preference at all, because I know that people like seeing me dance, but I also like the feeling that the ballads carry.”
