With the excitement that has been surrounding the GIGANT3S Tour, we have all forgotten one little detail...  Chayanne will be performing in Puebla for 5 de Mayo!

The City is getting ready to a magnificient show for the 150th anniversary of the battle of 5 de Mayo in Puebla, Mexico.  The Governor of the city of Puebla explained that on this day, they will start the celebration as they always do... with a military march and aerial show.  They will then re-enact the battle of 5 de Mayo with the participation of 8,000 soldiers.

At night, the celebration will continue at approximately 8 pm with a show that will be televised internationally.  Those who will perform include our beloved Chayanne, Espinoza Paz and Marc Anthony as the closing encore from the Cuauhtemoc Stadium.  The FREE show will go on for about 2 hours.

If my ears did not deceived me earlier, Univision has started announcing the show and they will televise the celebration for our delight.  So put it on your calendars!  You have a date with Chayanne and Marc Anthony this upcoming Saturday night.  Get the Guacamole, Salsa, Chips and Tequila ready!

CHAYANNE COMES HOME TO HIS ISLAND PUERTO RICO!

Take a look at his face, doesn't he look ecstatic? Chayanne has been looking forward to returning to Puerto Rico to give his very best in a concert that promises to be out of this world. He is feeling the pressure of performing in front of his family and close friends, but we all know he has nothing to worry about. Puerto Rico will once again feel the rhythm, passion, and flavor that only Chayanne can deliver! All that's left to say is "Chay Rock The Island as only you CAN"

Today at 11:23 a.m. Chayanne’s private plane landed in Puerto Rico where he will be giving a series of concerts this weekend. With a big smile on his face, the idol from San Lorenzo, greeted reporters who gathered at Isla Grande Airport. Chayanne will offer three concerts as part of his No Hay Imposibles tour, which will take place at the Coliseum of Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on February 11th, 12th, and 13th.

It is the first time that the interpreter of hit songs such as “Tu Pirata Soy Yo” (I’m Your Pirate), “Salomé” and “Ahora Tu“(And Now You) performs in this venue.
The artist said that the concerts in Puerto Rico will be different from the others from his international tour “No Hay Imposibles”.

Chayanne is conscious that there are no secrets between family and the requirements are much greater. “I am happy to be here; pleased with the all the people who know me. I am very comfortable but nervous at the same time because I want everything to come out just right”, expressed the artist who arrived to his country at around mid day.

Dressed in black and white and with his peculiar friendliness, the 42-year-old singer anticipated that the version of the concert that will be presented this weekend in the Coliseum of Puerto Rico, will be greatly scaled.

“Because I am from here I always want to give more”, he said. Also mentioned was the fact that Chayanne was trying to increase the technical teams, lights, giant screens, as well as inviting musicians.

He will also pay tribute to Rafael Hernández with several songs that he preferred to keep reserved. Acting like the rascal that he is, Chayanne sent a message to his fans “don’t be shy, sing, dance, get up on the chairs, and even ask the person sitting next to you to dance”.

Chayanne Sets Mexico on Fire!!!

WHAT A WAY TO START NHI 2011!!!!

Before hustle and bustle of the morning comes... you read it on Pandora first!

Not that this will be a big surprise to anyone acquainted with the magnificient artist that is Chayanne... but he definitely brought his A+ game to Mexico tonight!  Every newspaper, blog, website, fan tweets and facebook messages will all tell of an amazing start to the No Hay Imposibles (NHI) 2011 Tour.  And what better house to receive this honor than Mexico, a country that has stood by Chayanne faithfully since the beginning of his career with Los Chicos 30+ years ago.

Thanks to Ocesa, a music PR company, I have through thousands of miles experienced the same thrill the 9,366 people present at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City felt.  I hope I was not the only one!  Through Twitter, Ocesa sent us photographs and video.  If you missed any of it... here it is.  Sit back, relax and enjoy.  Be ready for a front row center seat!

PROVOCAME!!!!!

These are the photos that Ocesa so graciously posted for us.  Enjoy!!!!

And so it begins!!!

Performing "Si No Estas".  (Probably my personal favorite song of the show!)

CAPRICHOSA!!!   Y TU TE VAS!!!!

"Es que me gusta tu cara, me gusta tu pelo..."  - Cuidarte el Alma (Watch Over Your Soul)

Fiesta en America!  Esssoooo!!!!!!

"Tu Pirata Soy Yo"  (I Am Your Pirate)  ---- I would honestly flip if I ever see him perform this live!  This was one of his first ever solo hits back in the 80s.  This song is an addition to the set from the NHI 2010 tour!  Lucky Mexican fans!!!!

The Love Anthem:  "Si Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo" (If We Had Little Time)

The luckiest woman on this planet tonight during Tiempo De Vals

Forever our Torero!!!! End of the show.  ---- Gosh he looks so YUMMMM in red....

 Chayanne will offer a concert in Peru
~Translation by Candela

His concert will be at the Monumental Stadium in Peru in which he will promote his new songs as well as his greatest hits.

The Puertorrican singer, Chayanne, is returning to Peru after 7 years of absence and will offer a concert at the Monumental Stadium, on the east side of Lima.  We were just informed today that the concert will take place on April 14, 2010.

El Comercio published that Elmer Figueroa Arce, better known as Chayanne, returns to Peru not only to promote his new CD but also to delight his fans with all of his greatest hits, songs that he hasn’t performed in this country in a very long time.

The organizers of this event have confirmed that Chayanne will sing “Salome”,  “Provocame”, “Torero”, “Y Tu Te Vas”, and  ‘Enamorado” just to name a few.

Chayanne started his worldwide tour, No Hay Imposibles, last year in which he demonstrates a great production with “Energy and wearing his heart on his sleeve”.

“With this new CD I want to transmit a positive, transparent message…this is the slogan of my life since I started...to face life with happiness, always looking at the future and to fight for what one loves” said the artist about his new CD.

On another note, the businessman, Jorge Fernandez, also declared that they are negotiating Ricky Martin’s performance in this same country.  Ricky will begin his World tour “Musica + Alma + Sexo on March 25, 2011 in Puerto Rico.  As of right now, Ricky Martin’s representatives are negotiating the appearance with Peruvian promoters.

Chayanne and Marc Anthony To Perform Together in Dominican Republic March 2011

As far as this article goes, I cannot vouch for its validity.  However, here is the translation by yours truely.  The news has been published by many sources today all traced back to EFE... so it could mean I might return home in March.... You never know ;-)

Once the news is comfirmed by either Chayanne's camp or Mark Anthony's we will let  you know.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Marc Anthony and Chayanne Will Perform Together in March in Santo Domingo
By EFE Agency
Santo Domingo, Dec 26 (EFE).-  The Puertorican singers Marc Anthony and Chayanne will perform together in the Felix Sanchez Stadium in Santo Domingo on March 26th, according to the announcement made today by those responsible for the show.
The organizers assure that this is the first time both singers will perform together in Dominican soil and promise it will be a "historic event".  "We always dreamed of uniting these two great artists of the latin music industry.  On one side, Marc Anthony is one of the most admired and respected artists and what can we say about Chayanne, he is an artist who pulse by pulse has gained the love of the people and the admiration of millions of fans around the world with his talent", stated a document from the promotion company Symon Diaz, who is in charge of the show.
Marc Anthony and Chayanne have always had a great amount of fans in the Dominican Republic, where they are considered to be among the most popular international artists.  "We intend for this to be a historic concert where music will be the protagonist", said the organizers of the event, that remember the many shows Chayanne has played in various Latinamerican stages with his "No Hay Imposibles" tour.
Chayanne Brings the Heat to Atlantic City!
As 9:00 PM approached last night in Atlantic City, NJ and temperatures dropped to 40F rest assure that the approximately 2,000 people congregated at the Taj Mahal’s Mark G. Etess Arena did not feel a shiver!
The Mark G. Etess Arena at the Taj Mahal was the chosen stage for Chayanne’s first ever concert in this city.  With fans flocking from all over the tri-state area for this milestone event in his career, Chayanne performed the first of two concerts in the East Coast as part of the 2nd leg of his No Hay Imposibles tour in the USA.  If George Washington was alive and present at the show I am sure he would say “I cannot tell a lie…. This show absolutely ROCKED!.”  It should come as no surprise.  Having recently been named the Elvis Presley of our times by the media covering his concerts in Florida earlier this month, with his smooth steps, sultry voice and oh-so-rhythmic hip shakes Chayanne brought everyone in the audience to their feet to dance and have a great time.
At the center of it the audience… and I mean THE center… As in, mid section second row from the stage on the seats perfectly lined up with the center, there we were, Pandora and I,  [I will let her get into the emotional thrill of the whole night :-)]
The scenery during "Si No Estas" was absolutely breathtaking
The show itself was not that much different from those on the first leg of the tour. A few changes were made to the tracklist.  Two of my all time favorite Chayanne songs, “Fiesta en America” and “Palo Bonito” were added and sent the audience wild.  Perhaps the most apparent change of all was Chayanne’s main dancing ladies, whom you may have read in our previous posts, Victoria and Ferly bid goodbye to the tour in Chicago.  In their place, I was pleasantly surprised to recognize Sarah Shell from the Cautivo/ Mi Tiempo Tour (you may also remember her from the official video of “Lola”, she is the beautiful blonde).  Opposite Sarah was Rachel Markarian, who was part of Chayanne’s Sincero Tour.  The ladies were fantastic on their first performance and I am sure that as the tour progresses they will only get better and better.  And the boys… well, what can I say about the boys?  They were magnificent.  Without a doubt part of what makes Chayanne’s concerts so amazing is the team he has behind him and they are truly amazing professionals and the best in their respective fields.
Sarah
Rachel
Tu boca, boca...
As the music for “Torero” came on, we knew we were at the end of our adventure, but rest assure, it took a good half hour minimum to cool off after such a sizzling performance.  The heat of this show will surely and comfortably take us through this winter season in the East Coast.
Please stay tune to Pandora’s great adventure and additional photographs from the concert.
My First Time With Chayanne --- Pt. 2 of Bariloche's Saga
Now where did I leave off?  : - )
Following the NYC Shows I was much too happy and hype over the whole experience.  I had never felt anything like it.  I’ve always liked concerts but this was a dream come true.  This was way more than I expected and simply a blissful adrenaline rush.  So what did I do?  Well…
My mind was made up that I had to meet him and tell him how much those moments at the NYC shows meant to me.  I also wanted to tell him that he is the only person I admired for this long and the first artist I ever truly liked.  He kept me connected to my Hispanic roots at a time when I was more American than ever (It was HS, I had to fit in.  The craze was NSYNC & Backstreet Boys! & Britney Spears!).  But though I went around singing “I Want it That Way!”  I also went about with “Lo dejaria todo porque te quedaras! Mi credo, mi pasado, mi religión…” on my lips.
The problem was, how do I achieve this?  How can I meet him?  And then the heavens parted and I got an answer.  I emailed every single contact for all promotion companies that I could find were promoting his concerts.  I must’ve sent hundreds of emails, explaining to them in so many words that no, I’m not a crazy fan and yes, I am sure I’m not the only one writing you but you had to understand this moment was 15 years in the making for me.  And I got NOT ONE RESPONSE.  I almost gave up when I sent one final email to a promoter I had a good vibe about.  I’ve always been very good with vibes.  I’m very spiritual and in sync with people’s auras.  That might make me a little crazy, but I don’t care.  I waited one week and no response.  I had given up hope.  And then, the heavens parted again to this time give me some good news.  A RESPONSE!  The very same person I had good vibes from.  The message was simple.  “Yes I do get a lot of these but yours stands out.  I don’t know why.  Come to the show in Toronto and I will see what I can do. No promises.  But I can try.”  I of course had booked a flight to Toronto within the following 3 days.  All based on impulse.  I wasn’t even consciously thinking.  My subconscious was doing it all.
I didn’t really care where the seat was.  As the day of the show approached a good friend of mine was interested in going to Toronto and he embarked on my crazy mini vacation.  I think deep down he was just afraid that something terrible would happen to me.  On June 21st  we took the 2 hour flight to Canada.  The city was AMAZING.  I think that trip also started my love for traveling and seeing new places.  I haven’t stopped flying places since.
To shorten the story I finally met my new friend face to face and as promised I was given my concert ticket.  I almost cried when I saw the seat.  2nd row, dead center.  I was speechless.  I couldn’t believe someone who has never met me was giving me such a wonderful gift.  The day of the show came.  June 23rd.  I bought the most amazing dress by Marciano.  I shelled out $200 bucks on it.  Why?  Because in my heart something told me, this is it.  It’s going to happen.  I wasn’t told it was.  I was told maybe.
I got to the arena a little early as I was told and was placed in a line.  I had 4-inch stilettos.  I was on that line for 2 hours, not even knowing if I was going in.  To top it off, I see a reporter come from backstage wearing my dress… with jeans.  Not to be conceited… but I styled it a lot better than her.  I did not hide my legs and let them exhibit ;-)  And then I was  approached by my friend.  I was in!  I was part of the group that won their opportunity through the radio station!  Mind you I could barely walk after standing for 2 hrs in 4-inches but I didn’t care.  The next few minutes were a blur.  Happened so fast.  On the line one minute and the next I was being asked to walk through a door where in the middle of the room, there stood Chayanne, in a red shirt looking up at me smiling.  I was stopped for a minute.  I took my eyes off him (I don’t know how I managed that!) and was asked to go in.  I hugged him like I never hugged another man before.  And I think he felt the love flow through.  I wanted to say so much and .. nothing was coming out.  No tears, just pure utter bliss and a big smile.  So he winks and I suddenly awaken from my trance.  I said “I have been dreaming of this moment for 15 years” in Spanish to which he smiled and said “Well, Happy Sweet 15th!”  He hugged me again.  I was speechless.  I was asked for my camera, flashes all around (I’m still clinging to him) and then I was told someone else had to come in.  As I left I looked at him and blew him a kiss as I was turning at the door.  He looked back gave me that great flirty smile of his and winked.  I couldn’t feel my body, my feet, anything.  I don’t even know how I got to my seat.  All I know is that I had just experienced one of the happiest moments of my life.  Not even graduating from High School as Salutatorian or graduating college as an Engineer could top this moment (only the birth of my Nephew does).
And this is where I will leave this part 2 of my saga…. Tomorrow I will continue with the show and what happened after!  Stay tune my dear Guajiras!
*** Disclaimer:  Though thankfully to God and all my guardian angels, my crazy adventure turned out to be a good experience, I do not recommend you do what I did without first thinking it a million times and considering the consequences.  I think about it now and yes, I was INSANE to have such blind truth to go to a country I’ve never been to before alone to meet people I’ve never seen and trust them with my safety.  Luckily I have good friends and very good senses… and a good God that protects me!***
With A Summer Of Cancelled Concerts Chayanne Thrives
(Para ver más abajo traducción al Español)
It's been a wicked summer for concerts, cancellations left and right. In July there was an cover article from Billboard Magazine titled "Cruel Summer: Billboard examines the touring industry's struggles amid a rough economic market." The were predicting that summer 2010 was going to be the toughest touring market for artists and promoters since the mid-90's.
There was also an article in the Washington Post that was prompted by the Billboard article. The Washington post says, and I quote, "The Eagles and Maxwell scrapped recent local dates, and John Mayer, Rihanna and Lilith Fair have canceled dates elsewhere. U2, Simon and Garfunkel, Christina Aguilera and Limp Bizkit postponed entire tours."It's probably not as bad as it's being depicted, but it's clear that promoters are facing a challenging summer," says Glenn Peoples, a senior editorial analyst at Billboard"
That being said, there was another article that was published recently in Entretencion  , that spoke to the fact that Chayanne, Rush and Bon Jovi are the top selling concert tours of the summer. So what does that mean to a Chayanne fan? Chayanne is putting out a killer tour, that so far has had only one cancellation, and has released a second leg of his touring schedule with additional dates being added constantly....AND has just signed an amazing label deal with Peermusic.
Chayanne is kicking major bootie (yes bootie...this is a family friendly blog people, after all Chayanne has fans of many ages) LOL If you follow Chayanne on FB, Twitter, My Space, or his Official Website, you've heard that fans talking about not just going to one concert, but several! I feel awful knowing that while there are other artists that are struggling to pull of successful summer tour, Papi Chulo is killin' it. But as a fan I'm as thrilled as I can be. I'm thrilled that I'm going to get a second dose of Guajira, the live version, and another look at the man himself live and in person.
The proof is in the pudding, Chayanne has consistently come out with music that is fresh and new, yet will be forever timeless, and have the quality and passion that his fans the world over have to know and love. Because Chayanne is so giving to his fans...his fans have no problem showing him their love, respect, and support.
Chayanne, just keep doing what you do best....and we'll be right here!
~Peace
Ha sido un verano malo para los conciertos, las cancelaciones de izquierda y derecha. En julio hubo un artículo de portada de la revista Billboard titulada "Cruel Summer: Billboard examina la industria de las giras de luchas en medio de un mercado de crisis económica". El predecían que el verano de 2010 iba a ser el mercado más difícil viajar para los artistas y promotores desde mediados de los 90's.
También hubo un artículo en el Washington Post que fue impulsada por el artículo de Billboard. fechas de The Washington Post dice, y cito textualmente, "Las Aguilas y Maxwell desguazado recientes fechas locales, y John Mayer, Rihanna y Feria Lilith han cancelado en otros lugares. U2, Simon y Garfunkel, Christina Aguilera y Limp Bizkit pospuesto viajes entero." Probablemente no tan malo como se está representada, pero está claro que los promotores se enfrentan a un verano difícil ", dice Glenn Pueblos, analista senior de editorial de Billboard"
Dicho esto, había otro artículo que se publicó recientemente en entretención, que habló sobre el hecho de que Chayanne, Rush y Bon Jovi son los tours más vendidos de conciertos del verano. Entonces, ¿qué significa eso para un fan de Chayanne? Chayanne está poniendo a cabo una gira asesino, que hasta ahora ha tenido sólo una cancelación, y ha lanzado una segunda escala de su gira calendario con las fechas se van agregando nuevos constantemente .... Y acaba de firmar un acuerdo de marca increíble con Peermusic.
Chayanne es patear botín principales (sí botín ... esto es una familia de gente amable blog, después de todo los fans de Chayanne ha de muchos siglos) LOL Si sigue Chayanne en FB, Twitter, My Space, o su sitio web oficial, que ha escuchado que los fans de habla no sólo va a un concierto, sino varios! Me siento muy mal sabiendo que mientras que hay otros artistas que están luchando para tirar de la gira de verano exitosa, Papi Chulo es acabando ¿. Pero como fan soy tan emocionados como yo puede ser. Estoy contento de que me voy a poner una segunda dosis de la Guajira, la versión en vivo, y otra mirada en el hombre mismo en directo y en persona.
La prueba está en el pudín, Chayanne siempre ha salido con la música que es fresco y nuevo, pero será para siempre sin tiempo, y tienen la calidad y la pasión que sus fans de todo el mundo tiene que saber y el amor. Debido a que Chayanne es dando así a sus fans ... sus fans no tienen ningún problema mostrándole su amor, respeto y apoyo.
Chayanne, simplemente seguir haciendo lo que mejor sabe hacer .... y vamos a estar aquí!
The Gift That Keeps On Giving, Chayanne's Back-Stage Pass
This has been a really great week for Chayanne fans the world over. Chay knows that we're all waiting with baited breath for his CD, "No Hay Imposible" to drop (February 23rd!), we're also waiting for his tour to begin.
OT- Did you know that Chayanne is listed in the "Urban Dictionary"? The definition of Chayanne is, "The raddest f***ing dude alive". I'm really not making this up. This tidbit was sent out onto the Twibe Tweet waves by none other than Bariloche!
So while we're waiting, Chayanne has given the Twibe a whole lot to get excited about this week. He started off the week with the drop of yet another single, "Si No Estas", killer song! If you don't have it yet, you don't know what you're missing. (You can download it from iTunes!)
Then Chayanne with the assistance of his killer choreographer Nancy O'Meara gave us two short but sweet peeks at what goes into getting a concert tour together. "We know you love us Chayanne, we love you right back!" Please feel free to check out the clips!
Then today, thanks to Anniee of ChayanneRocks fame, gives us the 411 that Chayanne is in People Espanol! (Thank goodness I subscribe!)
I'm scared to ask Chayanne what's next......no I'm not! "Chayanne, could you please tell us what's next!"
Ok...I'll just have to be patient and so will you *WINK*.....but I'm sure whatever Chayanne gives us.....it's going to be off the chain!
~Peace
P.S.
I almost forgot there was a tweet from Sony Latin Music, that there may be a CD signing by Chayanne at a store that has yet to be named in Miami, on February 24th! There, you see what I mean, as soon as you thing Chayanne has nothing left, there comes another "Sopresa".....That's why we love you~
