Here we are again, on the verge of one year passing while another is born. I won't take too much of your time, after all there's always so much to do on New Year's Eve. Especially if you're as much of a procrastinator as I am.
This was an amazing year for Chayanne fans as always! He never fails to make us release that deep sigh of contentment that can only come from the love and passion that he gives to his fans year-round. We had the release of "Solas Con Chayanne", GIGANT3S with Marc Anthony and Marco Antonio Solis, then there was "Viva Duets", we even had our very own orange juice! (P.S. if anyone sees a carton on eBay let me know *smile*)
So many events....and still we wished for more.
I want to take the time to thank all of you for your love and support over the last year. Our readership has increased dramatically, and out Facebook page "Likes" have almost doubled over the last 12 months, and we couldn't have done any of this without you.
To all my girls here at the box, Bariloche, Fantasia, Glamour Girl, Candela, and Torera, thank you for your friendship and your sister-hood in the cause. Much Love Chicas!
As always to my soul-sisters, Anniee, Angie Arcie, Rosa, I love you ladies. You've been there for me through it all. I can never have enough words.
Alex Cuba ~ Again I thank you for giving us our first major interview. Bariloche and I had a great time talking with you, and we can't wait until the next interview!
Chayanne ~ You never fail to inspire, whether you inspire us with your music, or with your giving heart that is always willing to give to those in need. We thank you for another fun filled year. We can't wait to see what's coming in 2013....and interview with Pandora's Caja? I girl can dream right?
Here's a little tribute to 2012, have a happy and prosperous New Year!
Peace~

Immediately,
thanks to the agility provided production, Marco Antonio Solis was the
first of the Gigant3s to come on stage accompanied by four dancers
before the euphoria of the attendees raved with his best known hits: "Sigo esperando" (Still waiting), "Morenita ", "Mi eterno amor secreto" (My Eternal Secret Love), "A dónde vamos a parar" (Where are we going to stop) and "Mi primavera" (My Spring) and other
songs from his solo repertoire and his career with the group "Los

let's forget everything and let's deal with what really matters to us,
our feelings," said Solis before a captive audience.

The
show took a different tone more energy when it was her turn to Puerto
Rican idol Chayanne, who chose his infectious cut "Boom Boom" to bring the crowd to its feet ..
"Tonight you can do with us whatever you want to do because you're the
boss. It wasn't easy to find the time, but here we are together
tonight," said Chayanne with a genuine smile.
“Provócame”, “Dejaría todo”, “Un siglo sin ti” (accompanied by Buki),
"Torero" and "Tu Boca" in every song the artist left to see the best
of it to the thousands of attendees. Solo, accompanied by another Gigant3, or followed by brilliant dancers, each performance of Chayanne was captivating.

Viva Duet's! Vivo Chayanne! I Got Mine!
Today is the day that Tony Bennett's Viva Duets officially drops world wide, and yes I have mine! I purchased my copy through iTunes, my favorite for all my music "to go".
My favorites off the album? The Best Is Yet To Come with Chayanne (Of Course!) Both Chayanne and Tony have those beautifully silky voices that sweep you away. They vocally play off one another in a flawless fashion, perfect pairing. Steppin' Out With My Baby with Christina Aguilera, I so loved this one. Christina does an excellent job with the heavy jazz arrangement, her voice is just as much a jazz instrument as the bass and the piano, really fun. For Once In My Life with Marc Anthony (Of Course!) Marc has a voice that is uniquely his. He's able to not only hold his own next to Tony, but they complement one another beautifully. Finally, Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me) with Gloria Estefan.....while I'm a huge Chayanne fan, this is my favorite of all the tracks. Gloria shines in this song, she sings with so much feeling and Tony let's her shine.
You many have hear of some of these Latin artists, who are all mega stars in their own right, or you may have not, but one thing for sure is that you will definitely fall in love with this album.
There are 12 tracks on the album:
The Best Is Yet To Come - Chayanne

The Way You Look Tonight (Guitar Only) - Thalia
"Tony Bennett is an indefatigable powerhouse vocalist. His energy and charisma have guided him through six decades of hits. the perennially hot Mr. Bennett is given both tribute and chance to shine with this celebration of the Great American Songbook. It doesn't hurt that some of the biggest and most respected artists of Latin music are helping out in this third installment. Behold Viva Duets with artists like Gloria Estefan, Vincente Fernandez, Marc Anthony, and Christina Aguilera."- iTunes
"Tony Bennett doesn’t speak Spanish and he was not familiar with most of the Latino artists he recorded with for his new album, “VIVA Duets.” But to his delight, the great American crooner discovered some common ground while recording: “They sing with the heart.”....See, the one thing about the Latin singers, the majority of music that Latinos love, that the public loves of the Latinos, is they sing from the heart. And that doesn’t go away. That makes the record never sound old-fashioned. There’s some gimmick that’s popular for 10 weeks and then forgotten. ... (But here) there was so much feeling in their performances that it will always sound good. Twenty years from now the same record will sound good because it has the feeling. They all sing with so much feeling and the public responds with so much feeling." - Washington Post
"VIVA DUETS presents Bennett's classic songs with an international flavor that will generate widespread appeal for this unique multi-lingual presentation. Working with this unprecedented list of Latin artist, many of whom he met for the first time in the recording studio, Bennett commented, "Each of these artists were so warm and welcoming that there was an instant rapport. Latin music has always been about melody and harmony and a lot of soul, so there was a very close artistic connection with each duet guest. I am absolutely thrilled about the record." Montevideo danced to the "Gigante2" (English Translation)
Montevideo danced to the "Gigante2"
Chayanne and Marc Anthony sang his hits at the Centenario to 20,000 people
+ @ MAcerenza Acerenza Mauro - 18/10/2012, 08:41 pm - UPDATED 10:49
"Tonight can do with us whatever they want," he shouts Chayanne after singing "And you're going." Women, who are the vast majority of the 20,000 people who look to the stage set up on the rostrum America go crazy. "Let him throw the fans," sing. Such was the climate during the hours-long show "Gigante2" who provided Chayanne and Marc Anthony on Wednesday at the Estadio Centenario.Mothers and daughters are on the front silver headbands with the inscription "Gigante2". Groups of women waiting patiently forties begins the show. The odd couple goes and tries to accommodate. Suddenly, the lights go out and Chayanne on stage. Other lights come on instantly: the chambers populate the Olympic podium and the playing field is protected with a plastic floor. Crying widespread.
The party started with "Boom Boom", one of the many hits of Chayanne. Any movement of the artist is an excuse for women to cry, inflamed. At one point, the singer shows a button on his shirt turquoise. That was the last straw: a deafening shriek.
The staging was impressive: two giant screens on the sides of the stage and an even larger LED after ten musicians. Eight dancers and three singers accompanied the Puerto Rican on stage.
At one point, two women explode with rage because the girls in the front rows stand and can not see. An usher hears the complaint and shrugs, unable to do anything. The women return to their place, muttering God knows what. One of the banners that cover the vision says, "my dream is Chayanne dance with you." Soft toys, clothes and flags flying toward the stage.
"I test before the show a lot and I'd like four volunteers, after the show I taking names," he says. New delirium among the public. The hits come one after another: "And you're going", "Guajira" and finally "Torero" and "Provocame". The artist appreciates the attention received in Montevideo and says: "I carry in my heart."
Comes to Marc Anthony, who comes on stage to the beat of "It was worth it." They dance all the ushers to the bathroom and the two mobile emergency nurses who are there just in case.
No fewer dancers and lights, with a somewhat more intimate style, the New Yorker of Puerto Rican origin salseros sings his hits. "I try, try, try, but do not forget you," he sings in chorus with the audience. The singer-high voice, admittedly, is a true showman: strip kisses in all directions, it gets you throw scarves, kneels and kisses the stage floor. "How nice," he says at one point, touching the heart and looking ecstatic.
"To see, to see, how the tail moves", demanding women. And Anthony meets. "If I see my mother," he laughs.
Suddenly, and while Anthony sings "There's no one like her," Chayanne comes. New deafening scream. They sing three songs together and closed with "Fiesta in America" by Chayanne. A theme that fits him just the night.
