This was one of those moments where everything just stopped and I felt like shouting Eureka! There I am doing my daily Chayanne information hunt on the internet, (You know how we like to do it on "The Box". Binging you all the must current up to date Chayanne Goodies) and what do I find? A clip of my girl Vanessa Williams on "Lopez Tonight" in and interview with George Lopez.

George Lopez: Tell me about your love of Salsa Dancing.

Vanessa Williams: Oh man! I first Started (Hears the audience) Oye! Oye! (Hey! Hey!) (Audience says Oye!) I did a movie called "Dance With Me" with Chayanne. Who is the hottest thing on....he's hot, God, he's Hot! Next to you darling. (Being playful with George)

I'll have to tell you, I'm convinced my girl Vanessa has some mad love in her heart for Chayanne because ANY time she's been in and interview and she's asked about dancing and her love of salsa, she mentions super hot Chayanne.


If you add that together with her tweet to Chayanne about the possibility of getting together for a sequel to Dance With Me

I'm beginning to wonder if there just may be a possibility of..... Let's keep hoping after all "No Hay Imposibles" Esssssssso!

Basically the Houston Chronicle article lists, what is in this writers opinion the 10 movies with the best dance moves, and "Dance With Me" was the first on the list, and why wouldn't it be. I have articles like this before, and "Dance With Me" rarely fails to make the cut. This is a dance film that's destined to stand the tests of time. If you watched the movie upon it's initial release in 1998 , or if you caught it over this past summer on HBO, the choreography is still fresh and current.

Now I will say  that the writer doesn't make any suggestion that the movies are in any particular sort of order, but in my Chayanne loving mind there must be some sort of subconscious hierarchy at work here.

HBO Starting Chayanne"s Birthday Bash With Dance With Me!

24 hours and counting until it's officially Chayanne's birthday. Ok, there is some debate about whether it's really on the 29th, but he celebrates it on the 28th and so shall we.

The other day I got a message from a really cool friend of mine giving me a heads up on the fact that HBO has been showing "Dance With Me" in its June line-up. This was exciting information to say the least. So I did what any real Chayanne fan would be compelled to do.....I set my cable for auto-tune!

It's been just Chayanne and me getting our Latin dance on! (Ok, so Vanessa was there to *wink* You know I love you girl!) HBO is so hot right now because of "Dance With Me" that the movie was listed in a recent article on Boston.com as one of their "On Demand Picks" along with "No Country For Old Men" with Javier Bardem, "Big Momma's House" with Martin Lawrence.

Boston.com says, "Vanessa Williams projects intensity; Puerto Rican pop star Chayanne steals the movie with his sunny, sexy charm." They hit the nail square on the proverbial head!


As if being in constant rotation on HBO from now until July 30th isn't enough, Chayanne has been nominated in the Artist Category for the 25th Premio International "Laurel de Oro Espana - Mexico a la calidad 2011. The problem is, that he hasn't received enough votes so far to show on the results page. Chayanne fans are going to have get their minds and their voting fingers in motion and remedy this situation and quickly!

Vanessa Williams Talks Chayanne on The Wendy Williams Show

Do you want to know what I think is so entirely cool? That after all these years when presented with an opportunity on the fabulous Wendy Williams show, Vanessa Williams has the primo opportunity to talk about Chayanne and she takes it! Not only does she take it, she provides the opportunity for the ladies in the audience to chime in with their elated sound of recognition when she's talking about her movie dance with me and she says, "You remember Chayanne? Gorgeous Puerto Rican star." Well of course we remember!

I thought that this was just adorable. Chayanne gets asked about the movie Dance With Me all the time, but this is the first time that I've heard Vanessa talk about the movie since she's did the press for the movie. What's exciting is that she gives Chayanne his props. Kudos Vanessa.

So it seems that Vanessa is going to be on Dancing With The Starts this season.....so tell me people, what do you think...do you think we can get a DWM sequel? At least a Director's Cut release! A girl can dream can't she.
